Zayden’s jaw tightened as he pulled Aylin closer to him—firm but not in a painful way. He leaned down and whispered just for her, "See? This is why I need you, hacker girl. No one can outsmart their tech as you do." His lips grazed her ear, sending a thrill through her. "And after this? I’ll make it worth it. Dinner, wine... and ."

Aylin playfully swatted his arm, trying to hide a smile. "Focus up, mafia king. We’re in crisis mode."

He chuckled lightly. "Can’t help it. You’re distracting." But he straightened up, turning back to Selina. "So, who’s the mole?"

Selina hesitated, glancing at Reyes. "It’s... complicated. But I have so leads. Just give 48 hours, and I’ll have nas."

A tense silence filled the room as Zayden took in the news. He nodded slowly. "Okay. Reyes, work with my security team and double the patrols. Selina, get those leads, and don’t ss it up."

Selina smirked. "Wouldn’t dream of it, babe." She started walking towards the table, but before she reached the table, Aylin stepped forward and grabbed Selina’s arm.

"Wait."

Selina turned around, eyebrow raised. "What now, darling? Jealousy round two?"

Aylin’s expression hardened, and without thinking, she pulled back and slapped Selina hard across the face. The sound echoed in the room, leaving a red mark on Selina’s cheek. Selina staggered back, her eyes wide in shock. "What the hell—"

"That’s for my sister," Aylin said, her voice trembling with anger. "You think I don’t know? You were the one who ripped her shirt and let the guard touch her two years ago. Now you’re acting like you’re one of the good ones. She barely escaped with her life because of you and Alpha."

Selina touched her cheek, her grin fading into a colder expression. "Your sister? Oh, co on, that was just business. It’s survival of the fittest, right? She got in the way."

Aylin clenched her fists. "Business? She was innocent! Just like you were before you got pulled into this ss. And then you ruin lives, Selina. For what? Power? Money?"

Selina’s eyes narrowed, but there was a flicker of sothing, maybe regret? "Look, I didn’t know she’d get hurt that badly. It was a setup that went wrong. But hey, it’s all in the past now, right? We’re on the sa side."

"No," Aylin shot back. "We’re not. You help Zayden because it suits you, but don’t think for a second that I trust you. If you cross us, if you cross , I swear I’ll hack your life apart, bank accounts, identities, everything. You’ll be a ghost."

Selina laughed, but it lacked her usual sarcasm. "You’ve got so fire. I like it. Fine, I get the ssage." She looked at Zayden. "Control your girl, Z. She’s intense."

Zayden just smirked, pride lighting up his eyes as he watched Aylin. "Oh, I wouldn’t dream of controlling her. That’s what makes her perfect."

Reyes, still simring, finally put his gun away. "Alright, enough. We need to move."

The group switched into planning mode—maps on screens, calls going out to their allies. Zayden was flirting like there was no tomorrow, sneaking touches on Aylin’s hand and whispering playful comnts like, "You look amazing when you’re mad, you know that?" and "Once we wrap this up, I’m taking you sowhere private—no interruptions." She rolled her eyes each ti but leaned into him, and the tension between them was building like a storm.

An hour flew by in a blur of strategy. Selina laid out the attack plan: Alpha’s team would first ss with the digital defenses to create so chaos, while Karza’s forces would bust through the gates. They aid to hit the underground vaults where Zayden kept his important stuff—weapons, data, and leverage. "One week," Selina said firmly. "They’re timing it with a lunar eclipse or so drama for cover. Total show-offs."

Reyes jumped in with his insights, his voice steady even though pain was written all over his face. "I have guys who can get through their outer defenses. Should we strike first?"

Zayden nodded. "Definitely. But we have to be smart about it. Aylin, you’re on the hacks—shut down their communications before they can cut us off."

Aylin agreed, her mind racing through possible code. "I can do that, but I’ll need access to your full network."

"All set," Zayden said, his hand brushing against her thigh under the desk—a quick, flirty squeeze that made her gasp softly. "Anything for you, beautiful."

As the eting wrapped up, Selina and Reyes headed out first, leaving Zayden and Aylin alone. The tension had eased a bit, but the air was still thick with it. Aylin got up, saying, "I should go. I’ve gotta prep my systems."

She turned toward the door, but Zayden’s hand shot out, grabbing hers. With a quick pull, he yanked her back, and she stumbled into his chest. Her hands pressed against his hard muscles, and his arms wrapped around her waist like they were made of steel.

"Zayden—"

"Don’t you rember what I said earlier?" His voice was low and smooth, almost like velvet, with his blue eyes fixed on her golden-brown ones in a way that felt kind of dangerous.

She blinked at him, trying to act innocent. "What? I don’t rember anything."

His eyes narrowed, and a sneaky look flashed across his face. In one quick move, he scooped her up with one arm under her thighs, tossing her over his shoulder like she was nothing. A surprised yelp slipped out, and she pounded her fists against his back, part playfully, part in protest. "Put down!"

"Not a chance." He walked over to the hidden panel and pressed the concealed button. The wall slid open, revealing a dimly lit bedroom—soft golden light, a huge king-sized bed covered in black silk sheets. He kicked the door shut and locked it with a definitive click.

He let her fall into the bed. He flipped her over his knee before she could move. A loud snap echoed as his heavy hand landed on the tight jeans, tightening her ass; the sting struck her quickly and forcefully through the fabric.
