It did not take much difficulty to handle the remaining four knights. Not with Nimrodel on their side.

The woman moved so fast that it seed she had the ability to teleport. On top of that, her dagger thrusts were so powerful that they had no trouble penetrating the enemies’ steel armour.

...

In a matter of minutes, the flying duo turned the tides of the battle on the eastern wall.

The sun elves, who had been losing, now looked up at the flying human with hope in their eyes.

We are saved... The human saved us, they all thought to themselves.

Before they could offer their thanks, Adal and Nimrodel were already heading towards the next location.

...

At the Alexandrus Library...

Penelope, Juliette, and Willow were hiding on the top floor of the library whilst battle raged on at the bottom floor.

They wanted to go and help. They hated feeling useless up there, hiding in cowardice.

Unfortunately, none of them were above level 3. Even though they were all awakened, they had no powers to help them battle.

That left the goblin siblings to fight against the intruders alone...

...

Frogg and Ibukk were outnumbered.

The siblings stood facing off against three Iglantians. The one in the centre held a staff, and the two on the outside wielded short swords.

Frogg held her wooden staff shakily in her hands. It was tis like this that she wished she had a real staff.

anwhile, Ibukk held his wooden club above his head, ready to charge.

He just needed an opening.

...

Frogg tried to create one for him. She activated her skill, Dark Blast, and watched as a beam of darkness flew from the end of her staff, aiming towards the mage in the middle.

The mage reacted quickly, shooting a blast of water to et the incoming strike. However, the darkness devoured the water and tumbled into its target, sending the mage flying backwards and crashing into the door of the library.

Ibukk took the opportunity to charge at the knight on the left. He activated his skill, Dash, allowing him to move rapidly, and then used his skill, Crush, to perform a devastating blow on his opponent.

The Iglantian lifted his sword to defend, but before he could, a beam of darkness crashed into the weapon, sending it flying from his hands.

The knight’s eyes went wide in shock before the club ca crashing down on his head, pulverising his helt and his skull with it.

Before the body could hit the floor, the mage was back on his feet, ready to fight, and the remaining knight was charging at Ibukk.

Frogg gripped her staff tightly, her body feeling weak from the consecutive usage of skills. Still, she had to keep fighting; otherwise, her brother would be left in a battle against two opponents.

She, the necromancer, focused on the man who had just been slain. Then, with all her might, she poured her mana into her skill, Raise Corpse, which was now at Tier III after her encounter in the forest.

Purple necromancy magic flowed from the end of her staff and struck the corpse with the crushed skull. Its body twitched, as though struck by a jolt of lightning.

Then, it ca back to life.

Whilst Ibukk was busy clashing weapons with the remaining knight, the Iglantis mage was faced with a threat he had never encountered before.

One of his own n.

Necromancy was seen as taboo magic in most kingdoms, which was why hardly any people ever awakened the class.

Frogg, however, did not belong to a kingdom. Her lifeti was spent in the forests, surrounded by dead hunted creatures, and often humans.

She always felt a sadness for the creatures, even the animals that had to be hunted in order for her and her brother to survive. So she was not too surprised when she was given the ability to raise them from the dead.

The mage’s hand shook on his staff as he watched his ally approach, with brains seeping through the gaps and cracks of his destroyed helt.

"Harlien... It’s ... What are you doing?" the mage stumbled over his words, and even his feet, as he tried to step away from his approaching friend.

The undead man did not hear the words of his good friend. All he heard were the orders that Frogg whispered into his mind.

Kill.

The undead knight lunged forward with his shortsword and pierced it into the mage’s neck, at the sa ti that Ibukk finished off his opponent by crushing his spine and leaving him paralysed.

Frogg smiled to herself despite the grueso nature of the scene.

Then, she fell to the ground, drained of all her mana.

Her vision darkened, but she did not care. As she glanced up to the second floor, she saw the outlines of the three won she had managed to protect.

I did it... I saved them.

Then, she fell unconscious.

...

In the skies, Adal and Nimrodel had fought and won various battles, and Adal had not yet even called upon any more of the spells from the Heaven’s Grimoire.

He prepared to use his own, as they required less mana. He was already using a lot of it just to keep the wings working.

The tide of the battle had been changing. The greatest advantage of the Iglantians had been taken away from them, and now they were forced to change plans.

All flying Iglantians were ordered to land and make one final push for a specific location.

The Mother’s Cathedral, where Queen Talindra had evacuated to after the palace was struck by a boulder.

It was a building that had not yet been destroyed due to the fact that even the Iglantians worshipped the Mother and believed that destroying her building would bring down her punishnt upon them, but now they had been left with no choice.

Adal himself was not a firm follower of the Mother; however, he knew that he would not allow that to happen.

He descended rapidly on the large army of Iglantians currently storming into the cathedral.

It seed that the final battle was imminent, and it would take place on foot, under the eye of the greatest god of all.
