Watching Lin Sanshui’s departing figure, Gu Nian finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Instinctively touching her elbow, she couldn’t help but feel fortunate in her heart that it wasn’t discovered.
Gu Nian didn’t fall asleep but instead let her consciousness delve into the secret space.
Inside the space, on the grassland, a large group of chicks were searching for food under the guidance of several hens, mixed with two young wild chickens, creating a peaceful scene.

"What’s wrong?" Erhu, lying beside him, was startled.
"I picked up a few just-furred rabbit kits today and seed to have forgotten to bring them back from that stone!" Sanhu said regretfully.
He initially intended to bring them back for his little sister to play with, but after seeing a wild boar, he absentmindedly placed the rabbits on a rock and forgot them upon returning.
Erhu breathed a sigh of relief, covering his chest, "I thought sothing serious happened, just a few rabbits, let them go, they might not survive if brought back anyway."
They’re just recently furred, probably not even a month old yet.
Inside the space, everything thrived, and Gu Nian contentedly drifted into sleep.
Half-asleep, Gu Nian felt soone touch her arm, and she was startled awake.
Gu Nian opened her eyes, dazedly looking at Lin Sanshui like he was a thief, "Dad, what are you doing?"
Lin Sanshui didn’t expect his sneaky move to be caught, montarily stunned, a hint of embarrassnt flashed across his face, "Nothing... nothing, I just wanted to check if your injury has healed a bit, did I disturb you? Still sleepy?"
"Not sleepy anymore." Gu Nian shook her head, hiding her true feelings and said, "Dad, my injury is really almost healed, it doesn’t hurt at all. If it did, I’d definitely tell you."
Seeing Gu Nian was determined not to let him see, Lin Sanshui tugged at the corner of his mouth, "Alright then, it’s getting late, hurry and sleep, I won’t check."
Gu Nian also breathed a sigh of relief.
She really didn’t expect Lin Sanshui would sneak in at night to secretly check her injury.
