Chapter 27: Chapter 27 Enjoyable Cooperation_1 Chapter 27: Chapter 27 Enjoyable Cooperation_1 Staring at Yang ngchen without blinking, Luo Jingrui’s dark pupils flashed a hidden deadly intent behind his apparent interest.

“And although I cannot claim to have thousands of prescriptions, I certainly have several hundred. Each one is unique in Dong Chu, even in the entire world—priced beyond ten thousand gold. Is Young Master Luo sure that Apricot Forest Hall has the financial strength to buy them all?” Yang ngchen said with a smirk, “Of course, Young Master Luo could use ‘special thods’ to obtain them.”

This “special thod” could only refer to abusing power for personal gain, and both Luo Jingrui and Nan Feng understood that.

“Audacious!” Nan Feng sharply reprimanded with a cold voice. The young master has always been open and upright; this young lady dare to slander the young master, she’s truly courting death!

Yang ngchen remained unmoved by Nan Feng’s fierce aura: “Cooperation is all about mutual consent. If Young Master Luo is unwilling, he can simply refuse.”

Waving his hand to dismiss Nan Feng, Luo Jingrui looked at Yang ngchen and slowly spoke, “Your prescriptions will have a fifty-fifty split, while Apricot Forest Hall’s will have a ten to ninety.”

“Twenty percent is my bottom line, and that is non-negotiable,” Yang ngchen declared, without any sign of compromise.

After a mont of contemplation, Luo Jingrui finally nodded in agreent.

It was his first ti encountering such a formidable opponent in a young lady. Of course, what was key was that she held hundreds of prescriptions that harbored endless wealth, which both shocked and enticed him.

“Deal!” Yang ngchen took out two draft contracts she’d prepared the night before and handed them to Luo Jingrui, “Please take a look, Young Master Luo. If there are no objections, you may sign your na.”

Luo Jingrui gave Yang ngchen a long aningful look, “Does Ms. Yang have such confidence that I would agree to cooperate?”

“If I didn’t have that confidence, I wouldn’t be sitting here,” Yang ngchen replied with a smile. “The dicine Making Technique is unprecedented in Dong Chu history. Once the various formulations of the finished dicine are on the market, it will not only create a sensation in the dical community but also generate a substantial inco. Faced with such an opportunity to gain both fa and wealth, would Young Master Luo really just watch as the chance slips away?

“It’s only because Uncle Luo has been kind to and possesses a benevolent dical skill that I first considered Apricot Forest Hall. You should know there is more than just one powerful pharmacy in Yongchang Town, shouldn’t you?”

The implication was clear—she was offering this lucrative opportunity to Apricot Forest Hall largely out of respect for Doctor Luo.

After these words, Luo Jingrui’s eyebrows slightly knitted, his gaze at Yang ngchen filled with complexity.

Not to ntion outsiders, even within the Luo family, who doesn’t engage in a constant battle for fa and fortune, sotis even resorting to fratricide? Who is like Ms. Yang, who, rely because of her father’s kindness to her, willingly brings lucrative opportunities to Apricot Forest Hall, or rather, gives them to her father?

He believed Ms. Yang was sincere. It was precisely because of this that he felt deeply moved and increasingly realized that Ms. Yang was no ordinary person.

Upon reviewing the contract in his hands, Luo Jingrui internally praised its clarity and detail. Even the potential problems that might arise were noted with solutions. The writing was neat, elegant, and carried an unwavering confidence; even he could not match such thorough preparation, nor could those shrewd and cunning elders of the business world write such a standardized agreent.

How could a young country girl accomplish that?

Glancing at the smiling Yang ngchen, Luo Jingrui neatly wrote his na on both contracts, then stamped them with his private seal, showing how seriously he regarded the matter.

“Aren’t you afraid I might kill you to silence you?” Handing one of the contracts to Yang ngchen, Luo Jingrui’s eyes were cold and sharp as he looked straight at her, “After all, if I can’t have it, I wouldn’t want anyone else to have it either!”

The Yang Chengrong brothers, who had been sitting quietly by the side, heard the words and imdiately stood up in unison, shielding their sister with their bodies, their eyes alert and piercing.

Nan Feng still stood behind Luo Jingrui, not taking the three brothers seriously at all.

With a smile to reassure her brothers that everything was fine, Yang ngchen took the contract and put it into her bag. Then she looked at Luo Jingrui, “I trust my own judgnt and I trust Uncle Luo. Besides, there is no one in the Yang family who fears death or would simply sit back and wait for doom. Young Master Luo, being suprely intelligent, surely wouldn’t do anything that harms others without benefiting himself.” Her delicate face carried a faint smile, but her entire being exuded a chilling aura that was intimidating.

Nan Feng’s expression changed, and his right hand subconsciously gripped the long sword at his waist.

Luo Jingrui’s brows were tightly furrowed, his eyes as deep as ink, and in his heart, tumultuous waves were rising.

Ms. Yang is but a peasant girl, how can she possess such a commanding presence that usually only those of high status have?

It seems this Ms. Yang has many secrets! How intriguing!

“Rest assured, Ms. Yang, I naturally wouldn’t do anything that harms others without benefiting myself,” Luo Jingrui topped up Yang ngchen’s cup with hot tea, and lifting his own cup, he said, “I drink this tea in place of wine, toasting to our successful cooperation!”

Dispelling the icy aura about her, Yang ngchen raised her teacup and smiled, “Pleasure working with you!”

Although they knew that Luo Jingrui would no longer harm their sister, today’s events had served as a wake-up call to the Yang Chengrong brothers. They secretly vowed to continuously improve their skills, and upon returning, they were determined to drive their younger siblings as well, so that in the future they could better protect their sister and family.

“Little girl, are you alright?”

Doctor Luo suddenly pushed the door and entered. He ignored his eldest son’s face, which had turned as dark as ink, and carefully examined Yang ngchen for a while. Seeing that her complexion was normal, he finally relaxed, and, patting his chest earnestly, he said, “I was worried downstairs the whole ti, glad to see you weren’t mistreated.”

“Young Master Luo has inherited Uncle Luo’s kind and generous nature. He certainly didn’t make things difficult for us siblings,” Yang ngchen said, comforting Doctor Luo with a smile.

“Even if he didn’t make things hard for you, not only do I not believe it, but the shop assistants won’t believe it either,” Doctor Luo whispered to Yang ngchen, “I really have no idea where he learned those tricks. Many old foxes are no match for him. Did you co out unscathed?”

Yang ngchen suppressed her laughter and shook her head.

“Good, good, as long as you didn’t suffer any loss,” Doctor Luo repeated.

Previously, his father was engrossed in the dical profession and never paid attention to his mother and the three of them. Although Luo Jingrui was a bit sad and disappointed, he couldn’t bla or hate his father, as after all, his father had his own aspirations to follow, and as a son, he should support him. Moreover, he believed that his father loved them.

But now, seeing his father so concerned and protective over a girl he hardly knew, Luo Jingrui couldn’t help feeling jealous and frustrated, “Why was father so certain it would be Ms. Yang who was bullied and not ?”

“The little girl is sensible, well-behaved, and several years younger than you. Naturally, she wouldn’t be capable of bullying you!” Doctor Luo stated confidently.

Luo Jingrui pouted, “Looking at father, those who don’t know might think Ms. Yang is actually his daughter.”

“I would indeed like to have a daughter as good as the little girl. Alas, I’m not that fortunate,” Doctor Luo said with a sigh.

Seeing his father like this, Luo Jingrui was absolutely speechless and simply chose to turn a blind eye.
