"Julian, are you hungry? Let peel so fruit for you first."
Yvette Jacobs was making an effort to repair the relationship between them, putting aside her previous arrogance.
Julian Sterling was sowhat unaccustod to her behavior and didn’t respond.
Yet, Yvette was quite pleased as she placed a bowl of fruit salad in front of him.
"Try it. I rember you used to love this. It’s fat-free, so it won’t make you gain weight."
Julian lowered his head, furrowing his brows, but since it was prepared by Yvette, he still picked up the fork.
Yvette smirked on the side; now that Gloria Galloway was dead, this man truly seed to have changed his heart.
She had poisoned the salad; as long as sothing happened between them during this ti and she bore Julian a child, soon this man would completely forget Gloria’s existence.
She looked at the salad expectantly, hoping Julian would eat it right away.
But Julian kept holding the spoon dazedly. Did he buy this spoon himself? There was a cute face on it that he didn’t rember ever buying such a spoon.
He felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity and stared at the little face for a long ti.
"What’s wrong, Julian, don’t you want to eat?"
Yvette nervously clenched her hands, her palms sweating.
With his eyes still fixed on the spoon, Julian’s gaze was lowered.
"Did you bring this spoon? I don’t seem to rember buying it."
Yvette was taken aback. The spoon was just in the sterilizer, lonely and isolated, she thought it looked nice and picked it up.
Is this a spoon left behind by Gloria, and is Julian stirred by the sight of it?
Thinking of this, her heart was suddenly blocked, and she snatched the spoon away and threw it into the trash.
Julian didn’t have ti to react when he saw the spoon being tossed into the trash. In a rush, he retrieved it imdiately, not even knowing why he did so.
"Is that woman soone you miss that much? She’s already gone, yet you still daze off while looking at her things for so long!! Julian, you claid to have loved all these years. Were you deceiving all along?"
Yvette felt a pang in her heart, a sense of unwillingness.
But Julian didn’t react, instead picked up a tissue and carefully wiped the spoon.
Just an item left by a dead person, yet he treated it as a treasure, staring at it for so long.
Yvette clenched her mouth, then raised her hand to snatch the spoon away again.
"What are you doing!"
Julian looked up, his gaze filled with anger, like an exploding bomb about to go off, causing Yvette to take a step back in fright.
He was terrifying now, his eyes covered with a layer of mist, filled with blackness and gloom.
Her hand paused, and the spoon was imdiately snatched by Julian.
Julian tightly gripped the spoon, raising his gaze towards her.
"You just ntioned the woman is dead, who is she?"
He couldn’t recall ever having another woman in his life; Julian wasn’t foolish. He could tell from Hugo Quinn and others’ attitudes that they were hiding sothing from him.
Yvette pursed her lips, her eyes first flashed with surprise, then her mind quickly turned.
No wonder Julian was so gentle with her this eting; he had forgotten Gloria’s existence.
Unable to contain herself, she laughed inside, that wretched Gloria thought binding Julian to her ant victory, yet she lost her life over it, and Julian turned around and forgot her, truly tragic.
Her brain turned quickly, and imdiately she averted her gaze to another spot.
"A friend of mine, have you forgotten? I suspected you liked her before and caused a scene with you. She accidentally died in a car accident, and this thing was what she gave you at that ti. I didn’t expect you to keep it until now; it makes my heart uneasy."
Julian looked at the spoon coolly and indeed rembered the incident.
When he first got together with Yvette, her friend praised him for his good looks. Later, at nurous occasions, she constantly hinted at her interest, probably genuinely having thoughts about him; however, he decisively rejected her since he was already with Yvette.
"Sorry, I didn’t know it was given by her."
A glimr flashed in Yvette’s eyes; it seed like Gloria had been completely forgotten, which was good. Julian forgetting Gloria ant he would revolve around her in the future.
"Throw the spoon away; keeping a dead person’s thing is very unlucky."
Julian pursed his lips, feeling a twinge of reluctance, but upon hearing Yvette’s words, he still tossed the spoon away.
Yvette went into the kitchen to fetch another spoon and placed it in front of him.
"Eat. Your body isn’t well; you shouldn’t starve yourself."
Julian shook his head, leaning back against the sofa.
"Sorry, I have no appetite."
Yvette paused, the salad had sothing added to it. If Julian ate it, everything would proceed smoothly, yet this man actually refused.
"Julian, eat a little please; it’s quite exhausting making these fruits."
She personally scooped a spoonful and brought it to Julian’s mouth.
Seeing her so sincere, Julian’s eyes flickered, and he eventually opened his mouth.
"Bang!!"
The living room door was forcefully kicked open, Jude Shaw appeared at the entrance, his face gloomily observing the scene.
Yvette’s body paused, a sheepish expression appearing on her face. Although Julian forgot about the wrongdoings she had committed, his friends rembered them well.
"Am I interrupting you?"
A hint of a smile squeezed onto Jude’s face; although he was smiling, it was terrifying from Yvette’s perspective.
She quickly lowered her head, not daring to speak.
But Julian seed to breathe a sigh of relief, an earnest smile erging on his face.
"Jude, you’re here. Want so salad? It’s made by Yvette; I had no idea she returned to the country."
Jude walked over, sitting on the sofa, then snorted coldly and tossed the salad into the nearby trash bin.
"Dare you eat food she made? Be careful, it’s poisoned!"
Jude had never been one for diplomacy, especially towards Yvette; he wished he could strangle her.
Julian looked at the salad in the trash, his brow furrowed in displeasure.
"Yvette spent a lot of effort making that. Even if you don’t like it, you could leave it for ."
Jude’s nose scrunched in annoyance. This man had forgotten everything, but he hadn’t!
If not for Yvette, how could Gloria have ended up that way!
"Yvette, Yvette, Julian, do you even know what this woman did before? Forget it, I don’t want to bring those things up; just stay away from her!"
Jude turned away in exasperation, and seeing Yvette’s affected deanor, his heart was filled with blockage.
Julian glanced at Yvette and then at Jude; previously, Yvette and Jude’s relationship wasn’t this bad, what happened between them?
