Eleanor Hollis scread and knelt down, but it was too late; what’s broken is always broken.

Her mind was blank, and her fingernails dug deep into her flesh as she trembled and raised her head to glance at Joelle Quinn, her blood-red eyes like those of a beast ready to devour.

Joelle stepped back a bit, but thought why should she fear a worthless person? She arrogantly raised her chin, "Why are you so careless? You broke it yourself, don’t bla . The papers are signed; you can leave now. The Quinton Family has nothing to do with you anymore!!"

Her words were like dismissing a beggar.

Eleanor tightly clenched her fists, five years of sorrow and bitterness instantly stuck in her throat.

Once upon a ti, did she ever like Nathaniel Quinn? Yes, she did. Encountering such a handso young man in her youth, anyone would find it hard not to be tempted. But after five years of tornt, any amount of affection beca re bubbles.

"Nathaniel, I beg you, my grandmother has always hoped you’d visit her. Now she’s very seriously ill, and the doctors say a large sum of money is needed. Seeing as I’ve signed the divorce papers willingly, please give the money. I promise I’ll repay you in the future."

She abandoned her last remnants of dignity, spoke slowly, her voice hoarse beyond asure.

"Will you leave yourself, or should I have the bodyguards escort you out?"

Nathaniel’s words had no trace of empathy as he held the divorce agreent in his hand, the corners of his mouth curling into a mocking smile, "I haven’t touched you in five years, why should you get any money from ? Even a prostitute should receive money after serving soone, right? And for your body, which has birthed a child, do you really think you’re worth that much?"

That’s Nathaniel for you, always able to speak sharp and sarcastic words to Eleanor.

"Nathaniel Quinn!!"

Eleanor stood up, panting heavily as she looked at the two people in front of her, bitterness, frustration, anger, all sorts of emotions flashing through her mind. She took a deep breath and dashed towards Joelle, slapping her face without restraint.

"Ah! What are you doing?! Let go of ! You madwoman!"

Suddenly struck, Joelle had a bruised nose and swollen face, countless finger marks, and the taste of blood in her mouth. Both soon engaged in a full-on brawl.

Nathaniel looked dispassionately, ordering the bodyguards to separate them.

"Eleanor Hollis! I’m going to kill you!"

Everyone knew Joelle cared most about her looks, but due to Eleanor’s craze just now, her face was marred with deep scratches from nails, looking bloody and battered. If it couldn’t be fixed, she might be disfigured.

Eleanor was not much better off, her cheeks were swollen, her hair was ssy too. She pushed the bodyguards away, bent down to pick up her bag, and hurled it fiercely at Nathaniel.

"Everything I suffered today! I’ll repay you a hundredfold in the future! And you! Joelle! You’ll pay for your ddleso hands just now!"

Nathaniel’s forehead was struck and bled, deepening his disdain for Eleanor, thinking this woman must have gone mad from the divorce papers.

"Throw her out, and don’t let her set foot in the Quinton Family ever again!"

Eleanor was dragged by two n, her blood-red gaze fixated on Nathaniel.

"Bang!"

She was tossed onto the street like trash, her bones almost falling apart.

"Get lost, as if the Quinton Family is a place for you!"

"Disgusting! Like a lunatic."

Eleanor got up, rubbed the injuries on her face, tears streaming down in large droplets, limping toward the direction of the hospital.
