Her eyes turned red, and she awkwardly looked away.

The man sitting across from her seed unable to bear it and placed a tissue beside her.

"If you want to cry, just cry."

Eleanor Hollis shook her head, she didn’t want to cry, she was just disappointed.

She thought Hugo Quinn was different from other n, thought he would always be faithful, but just now she realized he was the sa, maybe the innate flaws in n were just like that.

Over there, Hugo and that woman had finished eating, the woman seed to have no appetite, ate a little, and then covered her mouth and went to the restroom, coming out a little later looking pale.

And Hugo naturally supported her, full of concern.

Eleanor just felt a booming sound in her head, seeing the woman like that, she couldn’t help but suspect the woman was pregnant.

Whose child was it? Seeing how worried Hugo was, could it be Hugo’s?

Originally, Eleanor could still control her emotions, but when seeing Hugo supporting that woman, she finally couldn’t hold back.

"I thought you would go up and break them apart, but you sat here all along."

Until Hugo and that woman left, Eleanor still sat in her seat.

She also thought she would go up angrily, but as soon as she moved her foot, she got scared, silently turned around, and never looked at those two again.

"Sorry, I shouldn’t have invited you out for dinner today, letting you see sothing you shouldn’t have seen."

The man’s eyes held a trace of guilt, now seeing her so sad, he felt a bit uncomfortable.

"It was I who chose the dining place, if anyone is to bla, it’s myself, but this is also fine, at least now I see his true colors."

Eleanor had recovered from that emotion, just gripping the knife and fork tightly in her hands.

"I think you probably aren’t in the mood for dinner today, how about we call it a day?"

Worry flashed in the man’s eyes, afraid her nails would hurt her palm.

Eleanor faintly smiled, picking up her bag from the side.

"Okay, thank you then."

After they parted ways at the restaurant, she wandered aimlessly for a while, then sat on a bench in a daze, thinking about how Hugo was so gentle to that woman, it felt like needles pricking her heart.

Was Hugo really just like other n? All along, was she just being self-indulgent?

Eleanor suddenly realized how cowardly she was, the truth was right there in front of her, but she didn’t dare to expose it.

She tightly bit her lip and suddenly didn’t want to do anything, just sitting there daydreaming until the end of ti seed fine.

She didn’t know how long it was, but when she snapped back to reality, the sky was already painted with the hues of dusk.

Her legs were numb, she couldn’t stand at all.

At that mont, her phone rang, it was Hugo calling.

A flicker crossed Eleanor’s eyes, only then did she realize it was evening, she had actually been dazing there all day.

"Eleanor, where are you, I’ll co pick you up and take you ho."

Ho, what a warm word, but did she still have a ho?

That woman was pregnant with Hugo’s child, maybe soon she’d be moving into the villa, and then she’d be kicked out.

Eleanor didn’t speak, opened her mouth, found she couldn’t make a sound, and finally, her eyes flashed with a trace of loss as she slowly hung up the phone.

Hugo’s eyes were filled with confusion, why did she suddenly hang up?

He directly got soone to locate her position, followed the navigation, and drove over there.

Eleanor was still sitting on the bench in a daze when she saw a car slowly stop in front of her, and Hugo got out of the car.

"Why are you sitting here?"

He crouched down, looked her in the eyes, saw the bewildernt in her gaze, and thought she was upset about the Hollis Family affairs, and hastily pulled her into his arms.

"Co on, let’s go ho; don’t sit here any longer, it’s getting dark."

Eleanor stared blankly at his face, hearing his words of care, yet she felt her heart growing colder, even her whole body was starting to feel cold.

"My legs are numb."

She said hoarsely, without moving.

A trace of amusent flashed in Hugo’s eyes, he slowly crouched down and carefully massaged her legs.

"Ah ah!!"

The sensation of a numbed leg being massaged was indescribably exquisite, like being pricked by needles but unexpectedly tingling.

Hugo’s heart fluttered, at that mont, impure thoughts flooded his mind, yet the busy street forced him to suppress those notions.

The tingling sensation gradually receded, Eleanor’s legs finally regained mobility, she stood up, stomped her feet, then glanced at him.

"Thank you."

Hugo scooped her up and carried her towards the car.

"Between us, there’s no need to say thank you."

Eleanor dropped her eyes and said nothing; she didn’t sll any perfu on him, indicating he hadn’t hugged or anything with that woman, which made her feel a little better.

Hugo placed her gently in the passenger seat.

"How long did you zone out here? Next ti, co ho earlier."

Eleanor nodded, suddenly realizing her own cowardice; when Hugo called earlier, she thought if she t him in person, she would fiercely scold him and ask why he did it?

But when he really ca, she couldn’t say a word, all the scolding was stuck in her throat, and she found herself unusually addicted to his tenderness.

If she exposed everything, it would surely be awkward between them, Hugo wouldn’t hug or kiss her anymore.

Eleanor dropped her gaze, captivated by his hugs and kisses, she didn’t want to lose them.

So she preferred to play the ostrich, putting up a facade of peace.

The car soon stopped at the villa’s entrance, Eleanor pursed her lips, ultimately saying nothing.

"Let’s get out."

Hugo considerately opened the car door for her, worried her legs might still be uncomfortable, he reached out to support her waist.

Eleanor felt a bit better because when Hugo supported that woman, it was by the arm, not intimately around the waist, it seed she was more important than that woman to him.

"Daddy, Mommy, you’re back."

Marcus heard the sound of the engine in the yard, opened the living room door, and stood there waiting.

Hugo imdiately smiled and supported Eleanor to go over.

"Co on, let’s go inside and eat."

Eleanor kept turning to look at him, even forgot to greet Marcus.

"Mommy, Mommy."

Marcus called her twice, finding no reaction, pouted, and took her hand.

Eleanor snapped back and smiled gently.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought just now."

"I think you were lost in watching Daddy; Mommy, your expression was so lovesick just now."
