The ancient furniture.

The flickering candlelight, the yellowing paper, the white feather quill.

The background imrsed in darkness.

Morca, with a big beard, dipped so ink and wrote a line, then paused, seemingly pondering sothing.

Lifting his head, he asked Adelle, who was sitting opposite him with legs crossed, "I don’t understand, why didn’t the Elder Council act right away? They could have spared the lives of many descendants, not needed to wait for months, and wouldn’t have given Giant Snake City ample ti to prepare."

"Have you read the last volu of ’Lich Knight’?" Adelle retorted.

"I wrote that, thank you." Morca smiled and spread his hands.

Taking a deep breath, Adelle said, "In the blueprint of the Holy Spirit, their justice didn’t include humans. To him, humans are rely weeds, sprouting from so corner. But because the vitality of the weeds was excessively tenacious... so, you know what happened later. Twisted justice erged, justice that didn’t include oneself appeared. Similarly, in Krimasha’s blueprint, Blood Clan wasn’t included. And in the Bloodline Elder Council’s blueprint, their Blood Clan descendants weren’t included. To them, Blood Clan descendants are also weeds. Why are there three hundred and sixty elders, yet the total number of Blood Clan, including those created through Embrace, never exceeded twenty thousand? Why do most elders have no descendants? The answer is simple, most Blood Clan Elders are remnants of Krimasha’s era. They’re not naturally born like regular Blood Clan but created through Embrace. Ironically, Blood Clan created through their descendants’ Embrace are considered the lowest of Blood Clan. They themselves were humans but despise humans. They were created through Embrace but discriminate against other Blood Clan created through Embrace. They even despise their own descendants. Their concept of father and son might differ from ours."

"Is that so?" Morca was stunned, "That’s really bad news, you and I are abandoned and discriminated against?"

"It might not be bad news, Morca. If the protagonist’s starting point isn’t low, how can the story be exciting?"

"Alright, that makes sense. That’s why I like your story line. So what happened then?" Morca asked, "What happened next?"

"Next..." Adelle paused and replied softly, "Next, we witnessed a magical war that we will never forget. It was our first ti seeing Krimasha’s power and our first ti seeing what full-powered Lich combat really looked like. Jones and I didn’t anticipate it from the beginning. We underestimated the Elder Council, and the Elder Council underestimated Giant Snake City... "

...

Holy light beams descended from the sky, almost enveloping the entire battlefield.

All undead creatures burned, including Blood Clan Elders, who emitted heart-wrenching roars. White smoke rose up. anwhile, they fought fiercely within the holy light.

Countless Skeleton Soldiers charged towards Jones in the holy light, jumping and dismbering mid-air, rging with their armor, forming waves of bone rushing towards Jones, stacking into bone walls, swiftly layering up.

Blood-red magic power expanded on the elders, so transforming into longswords, so into shields, so into wings, so into tentacles, so into limbs—acting like parts of their bodies, as quick as lightning.

Thanks to their robust bodies, they could travel uninhibited through the sea of bones. Even silver had limited effects on them.

Hydra frantically swung its nine heads, raising shields to repel attacks from all directions.

The fierce wind intertwined with magic power, sweeping continuously.

Jones stood on Hydra’s back, shouting, roaring, and swinging his sword. Sparks floated around him.

Dora stood beside him, steadfastly holding the Nine-petal Snake Flower flag.

An elder pierced through the outer defenses laid by the Lich with allies’ cover, dodging Hydra’s defense and assault, reaching within five ters of Jones. The elongated black magic power swung down like a blade, grazing Jones’s face.

Jones dodged, a few silver strands were cut.

Jones countered with a sacred binding, and the elder barely freed before being swiped away by one of Hydra’s heads.

Instantly, another elder launched at Jones, this ti with magic power forming tentacle-like whips, slicing across Jones’s chest, breaking his armor. Blood shimred in the night.

Erin hurried over, raised a hand, and fired a dark cyan bone fla, piercing through the enemy.

The elder continued sprinting.

Dora blocked in front of Jones.

Each figure flickered, exerting their utmost effort.

Jones’ gaze stayed fixed on Bartholow, holding an intense stare from afar. Blood gradually dripped from his forehead, seeping into his eyes, streaming like blood tears down his cheeks.

...

Adelle scratched his head helplessly, "If it were , I’m not sure I could survive more than a minute on Hydra’s back. Despite the strong defense of Undead Magic and countless Liches protecting him... it’s terrifying. I can hardly see what’s happening. Jones hardly has ti to think. Though the missed attacks are sparse, those sparse attacks are deadly. He has to rely on instinct to make judgnts. I think he encountered the sa problem his father did. As a leader, he was too weak. The developnts didn’t grant him enough growth ti."
