This was undoubtedly an unexpected negotiation.

The wind blew gently, and the water droplets splashed into the pond were scattered in the breeze.

Gray quietly looked up, gazing at the Golden Dragon Great Elder. The sunlight glinted off his armor, shimring with light.

Everyone was watching him.

There were no more whispers, and everyone listened quietly. Even though Gray didn’t say a word, they were all waiting.

"Your dreams amaze , young Lich King," the Golden Dragon Great Elder finally said, "I thought I was facing a negotiation focused on nitpicking over interests, like we’ve had countless tis before. Unexpectedly, I heard such words... In the past, we only believed in power. I even doubted the reality of your existence. But now, I start to believe."

"We all need dreams, respectful Golden Dragon Great Elder. Endless life shouldn’t just an living. In the long river of history, there should be footprints of you and . Do you agree with this? I have always believed that the Golden Dragons are a great race."

"Listening to you makes one’s blood boil. Hehehe, but... we also need to face reality. Your strength and the opponents you will face are vastly different. This is a problem we have to consider."

"Yes. If you had seen six years ago, you might be even more hesitant. But now, you’ve started to consider it. That is change. Tis are changing, the world is changing, everyone is changing at an unprecedented speed. As long as we persist, dreams will eventually beco reality."

"Give so ti, young Lich King. I must be responsible for the entire Golden Dragon Clan."

When the Great Elder said this, many dragons present widened their eyes in unison.

*The voice in Gray’s mind cheered imdiately.*

"Well said! Gray, we should never have doubted you! You are already an excellent negotiator."

"Gray, well done, really. Even as an angel, I am convinced."

"Is he already convinced?"

"At least he is willing to consider it, which is progress. Previously, we thought even getting them to remain neutral would co at a cost, but now it seems we might be able to make them allies."

"I just said what I thought. In fact, I never intended to achieve this through exchanging benefits," Gray replied softly.

"Lord Lich King, I would like to invite you to stay in Dragon Valley for a few days. On one hand, to enhance our mutual understanding, and on the other hand, to give so ti to consider. Is that okay?"

"It would be an honor."

When Gray turned his horse around and left the deep pool, everyone in the Golden Dragon Clan’s eyes seed to change. There was a light around him, so dazzling that the prepared words about benefits seed insignificant and petty in his presence.

However, there were also so eyes filled with more hostility.

"This opponent is stronger than we imagined."

"Yes. Actually, from the mont he appeared, we should have realized. If a Lich didn’t beco the Lich King through strength, he must have other extraordinary qualities. We underestimated him."

"The Great Elder seems to really be considering it."

"Considering it only. It is not a decision."

"Do you think everything he said is true? Maybe if we test him a bit, he will reveal his true nature."

"Save it. Speaking of tests, aren’t angels and demons better at it than we are?"

"He has an angel and a demon with him. No, should be two angels and two demons."

Yes, Richie’s Guardian Angel and Temptation Demon also arrived. Except that Delia and Sarina were hiding far away, which, in the eyes of the giant dragons, was almost as if they were invisible.

The dragons whispered to each other.

Dragon Valley was a place without privacy. Every giant dragon only needed to stretch its neck to see any corner of Dragon Valley. But, Dragon Valley was also a place full of privacy. Each dragon’s mind was a world. When you thought they were just lying down with their eyes closed, they might be practicing dragon magic, writing spells, ditating, or even having a eting with dozens of other dragons.

In contrast, Gray and his party who ca to Dragon Valley were entirely exposed, and every move they made was in the dragons’ sight.

...

A short day passed just like that.

The sunset glow dyed the sky red. Birds chirped as they returned to their nests.

After the audience ended, the dragons circling in the sky reappeared.

Archil Norman and his people busied themselves in the courtyard, preparing dinner for the Silver Moon Knight Order. Aikleion and Lucy were busy exchanging "cooking tips" with them. The gluttonous dwarves stuck close, their wide eyes fixed.

However, the Silver Moon Knights showed no signs of being bribed by the food, each quietly staying in their rooms.

Gray stood on the balcony gazing into the distance, sweeping his eyes over the dragon nests on the cliffs. The dragons in the nests were also secretly watching him.

The Black Cat, lying on the bed licking its paws, asked, "How long do you think they will make us wait?"

"Maybe three days, maybe five, who knows? When they figure it out, they’ll let us know," Vivian said leisurely while eating pastries nearby.

Catherine folded her arms and softly said, "We should probably do sothing during this ti."

"Do what?" the Black Cat asked.

"I have a feeling that there aren’t many among the Golden Dragons inclined to support us, maybe even none. Today’s negotiation should be considered a success, but if we only rely on today’s negotiation, we definitely won’t achieve our goals. During this period, those who oppose us will certainly be working hard to persuade others, and the others might not necessarily maintain their support for us. If we do nothing, things will be unfavorable for us," Catherine explained.

Vivian interjected, "But we don’t even know who to approach. Do you know any dragons here? Besides the ones who brought us in and looked after us, we don’t even know the nas of any other dragons."

Richie sat quietly on the bed, his eyes rolling around.

Furrowing her brows, Catherine thought for a mont and hesitantly said, "Maybe, soone will co to us. I an, a dragon."

As she was speaking, there was a knock on the door.

"Lord Lich King, may I co in?" It was Evilia’s voice.

"Yes, please co in," Gray turned around.

The door opened, and Evilia walked in with a woman who, in human eyes, looked to be in her early thirties, appearing very dignified. She, like Evilia, wore a white robe characteristic of the Golden Dragon Clan and a tall white hat.

With her hands crossed in front of her chest, Evilia bowed and softly said, "Lord Lich King, please allow to introduce Elder Gjestav, who holds great prestige among our elders."

"Hello, Lord Lich King. It is an honor to et you," Elder Gjestav said with a smile.

...

At this mont, the dragons on the cliff quietly began whispering again.

"Did you see that? Elder Gjestav went into the temporary residence."

"I saw."

"What does she intend to do? I don’t think it’s for negotiating or arguing."

"Indeed. We mustn’t let what they hope for happen. Dreams and such are all just dignified nonsense. We must stop them."
