Jason was not stupid. It was best to set up a path of retreat just in case things went wrong. So before he could be totally boxed in, he rushed at one of the groups. They seed excited to see that the target had chosen two co to them. It gave them a better chance of claiming victory before anyone else!
One of them got overly excited and activated his super speed. Smashing his fist into Jason's chest armour at high speed before Jason could react!
The man fell to the ground in agony as the bones in his arm shattered from the force. Jason chuckled as he ran onward. Cleary, the guy, was not big on thinking things through.
A few of the face of those he was running towards beca grim when they saw what happened. These were most likely the people who had physical type Powers. Which would be the type that would the least effective against him right now. 'Looks like I picked a good group!'
The air around Jason began to shimr as he slowed down. One of the n in the group was smiling with his hands spread wide. 'He's taking all the air away from around !'
Although the air tanks were ant to protect him against gas like abilities, they proved themselves to be handy in this situation. The airflow to his helt was restored, allowing him to take a deep breath. The man ahead of him looked confused by the fact that his Power had no effect on Ouroboros.
Dani, who was watching this unfold from the roof, also frowned. 'David was one of our best chances of bringing him down quickly. There's too much about that new armour that we don't know.'
anwhile, Jason grinned as he pinpointed those he suspected to have physical Powers and shot so darts towards them to try and take them out quickly. Only one of them was caught by his attack, though. The guy was rather heavy-looking and looked surprised as the dart penetrated his skin.
As he fell to the ground, the others that Jason had targeted made a break for it to find cover. It was as if they recognised that they would be useless in this fight, for now at least. This left only three people in this group who seed confident enough to face him head-on.
Jason raised an eyebrow as tal daggers began to float around one of the guys. 'He seems to have sothing similar to Rust's Power. But it's too weak right now.' A black liquid started oozing from the sole woman amongst the trio, and the final slender guy's skin turned into a diamond material.
Jason was more worried about the woman's ability since he could not identify it right away. 'I can't let it touch until I understand what it can do.' A black puddle ford around the woman and began to spread outwards with her as the epicentre.
Jason tried firing so darts at her, but they were intercepted harmlessly by the black foul-slling liquid. The air above it started to appear funny as if it were giving off vapours. Jason grinned as he pulled the trigger in his gauntlet to inject his flathrower with the flammable gas.
Flas spewed out from his right wrist, and the vapours imdiately caught on fire! It followed the vapour all the way back to the woman who now had wide eyes. She ignited like a human bonfire when the flas caught up to her. 'Another one down.' Jason remarked to himself as the two guys attempted to flank him.
Jason could only apply pressure to the guy who seed to have magnetic abilities with his flathrower. There was a good chance that his darts or other projectiles could be intercepted by him.
The diamond skinned man chose this mont to try and get the drop on Jason by charging at him while his back was turned. However, Jason was ready for that, and the nozzles around his armour released a knockout gas in a cloud around him.
Dani frowned as she watched from above. 'He's definitely harder to deal with than before. That gas would be trouble for . I'm not going to one of any use!' Dani felt frustrated to see that Ouroboros had a way to counter her Power so easily. This ant that she had been relegated to nothing more than a scout during this fight.
Jason activated the RDB's and charged straight for the cadet using magnetism. He felt a sort of pressure trying to repel him as he got close, but it was not strong enough to affect the Infinity due to its weight.
Jason kicked out towards the cadet's leg and shattered his thigh bone with the force behind it. The cadet scread as his bone protruded from his skin and through his clothing. To save himself from listening to the cadet's screams, he punched him on the side of the head to knock him out.
There was a sickening crunch when he did it. It definitely sounded like the cadet's skull had at the very least been fractured. Jason took a few deep breaths before turning back towards the guy with diamond skin who looked to be panicking now.
His vision was blurry, and he was losing control of his motor functions as Jason casually walked towards him. This cadet waved his hands in front of him as if he were trying to keep Ouroboros away!
Jason reached past the cadet's flailing arms to grab him by the throat. The cadet was not thinking clearly and was breathing heavily as if that would clear up whatever was going on with him. Jason grinned quite happily as he pumped out more knockout gas into the air around them. He wanted this guy to go down before the rest of the platoon caught up to them!
Just as the cadet was about to lose consciousness, Jason's gas started to disappear from the air! The cadet from earlier who had tried to suffocate him was now countering this chemical weapon of Jason's! Jason clicked his tongue in annoyance as he noticed that he was out of ti. 'Seems like this will be harder than I thought.'
