Jay lunged first.
The mont System Sync completed, a new interface exploded into life. It wasn’t clean. It wasn’t stable. But it was fast.
Null-Jay didn’t flinch. A shield of dark data rippled into place, intercepting Jay’s first punch. Sparks flew, turning into shattered code that rained across the broken arena.
[STRENGTH: 999]
[MONTUM BOOST: ×2]
[ERROR: User Jay’s logic thread unstable]
He smirked at the red warnings. "I’m always unstable. That’s the charm."
Null-Jay summoned twin blades made of compressed system mory. They humd with eerie silence as he attacked.
Jay barely parried.
Rei dashed in from the side.
His movents weren’t flashy—just surgical. He focused on openings Jay’s wildness created.
"Keep him turning. He can’t anticipate both of us."
He slashed low, forcing Null-Jay to backstep, just as Jay pivoted behind him with a high kick that blurred with speed.
For the first ti, Null-Jay’s expression changed.
Not fear.
Calculation.
He flicked his hand—
And summoned a hundred illusions of himself.
Jay cursed. "Clone hack!"
[NULL MIRROR PROTOCOL: 100% SYNTHETIC JAY INSTANCES LOADED]
They sward, each one moving differently. So like Jay. So like... other versions he had never seen.
Versions where he had taken over the academy.
Versions where he had killed Rei.
Versions where Alicia...
Alicia gritted her teeth as she stood behind them, clutching her staff like it was the only real thing left.
The battle blurred in her eyes. Jay, Rei, the clones—it was chaos stacked on chaos.
But in the middle of that—
Sothing inside her stirred.
A whisper:
"You were connected to the System long before Jay ever received it."
A pulse ran through her fingertips. Her staff glowed—not with elental magic.
But with code.
Ancient, pre-systemic.
Her eyes widened as her HUD flickered to life for the first ti.
[SYSTEM: OBSERVER KEY DETECTED]
[USER ALICIA: ADMIN PROXY AUTHORIZED]
[AWAKENING INITIATED]
Jay froze mid-blow as a wave of gold-blue light exploded behind him.
It wasn’t Rei.
It wasn’t Null-Jay.
It was Alicia.
Her body was suspended montarily in the air, surrounded by gears of light and glowing glyphs that looked older than the system code itself.
"Whoa—what is that?" Jay muttered.
Rei turned, astonished. "She’s... awakening sothing buried. Sothing outside the system."
Null-Jay hissed. For the first ti, he backed away.
"Unauthorized protocol. Observer line... corrupted."
Alicia opened her eyes—brighter than stars.
"You said you were the system’s future, right?"
"Then I’ll rewrite it."
She brought her staff down.
And a wave of purge light erased ten of the Null clones in a flash.
---
As the three forces finally stood together—Jay wielding chaotic might, Rei guided by clarity, and Alicia burning with ancient code—the battle entered its final phase.
The real world was collapsing.
The Null-Zone was shrinking.
And the system was watching.
