Suddenly, Jay dropped into a storm—faced with every failed system user who ca before him.
Z-1 through Z-98.
Each whispered: "We tried. We broke. So will you."

Scene 2 – Duel at Dawn: Alicia vs Clone Z-97
Alicia panted, her blade clashing against Z-97’s again.
The clone fought like Jay—but faster, crueler, and without hesitation.
> "You hesitate because you care," it said. "That’s your flaw."
Alicia activated her mana pulse, temporarily freezing the clone.
"I hesitate because I know he’s not a weapon. He’s more than a system."
With a roar, she unleashed her family’s secret skill—Astria Arcblade—a shimring slash of noble magic passed down through generations.
The clone blocked it... barely.
But cracks began to show in its form.

Scene 3 – Cipher’s Revelation
While stabilizing Jay’s rewrite, Cipher whispered into his own communicator.

A voice crackled through:

Cipher hesitated.

He turned to Echo—who had just arrived, injured and furious.
"You used him," she spat. "Jay was supposed to live out peacefully. That was his reward."
Cipher’s eyes narrowed.
"There’s no peace when the foundation is rotten. He’s not just fixing the world. He’s becoming its firewall."

Scene 4 – The Trial of the 99 Echoes
In the Root Core, Jay faced rows of mirrored versions of himself.
So angry. So broken. So begging to rest.
Each represented a path he could have taken.
"Give up," they said in unison. "Let the system collapse. Reboot. Forget."
Jay closed his eyes.
Then smiled lazily.
"You guys talk too much. I already decided—if I gotta fix this ss, I’m doing it my way. With snacks."
He pressed his hand to the final override crystal.

Scene 5 – Final Clash
Outside, Alicia and Z-97 clashed once more.
The clone activated a forbidden system skill:

Alicia was nearly overwheld—until a flicker of light glowed from her bracelet.
Jay’s voice echoed again:
> "He’ll always be faster than you... but he’ll never care more."
Alicia struck—not at the clone’s blade, but at its anchor crystal embedded in the chest.

[Clone Terminated.]
The clone staggered, smiling slightly.

And vanished.
