"Honestly, I think Bai Ling's protection of Little Ya is sowhat excessive." After Bai Ling left with her sister, Leticia said to her own sister.
Bai Ling completely refused to listen to reason on this matter. She seed to have never considered telling her sister about her own affairs.
Was this right? Definitely not. Bai Ya couldn't live in a greenhouse forever—growing up that way would make her a delicate ornantal flower that couldn't withstand any wind.
Of course, if Bai Ling's goal was to raise Bai Ya into a delicate little flower with no practical use, then Leticia had nothing to say.
She could only say this was the Bai family's business, and it was better for the Infinois to ddle less.
"I'd actually like to be protected like that." Qila said aningfully from the side.
"Cough cough cough, Qila, I feel like you're implying sothing about ." Leticia imdiately began coughing. Qila's words were obviously poking at her backbone.
Her past attitude toward Qila was the complete opposite of Bai Ling's. As much as Bai Ling cherished Bai Ya, Leticia had tornted Qila.
On Bai Ling's side, she tried her best to prevent Bai Ya from encountering darkness—she would single-handedly block the darkness from Bai Ya's world.
As for Leticia, she was amazing—she directly dissected bloody reality and laid it before young Qila, letting her sister know just how dark this world was.
Qila's childhood couldn't be called carefree at all. Although compared to her sister, her childhood was still better. Leticia's childhood was what you'd call truly dark.
"Not at all. I just think combining sister's and Sister Bai's thods would be better."
Leticia's educational thods could be called disastrous. That Qila hadn't grown up crooked was entirely due to Qila's own strong psychological resilience. If it had been soone else, the current Demon Princess would probably have beco a madwoman.
"That's not wrong. I also think I went a bit overboard before—should have been more gradual." Leticia imdiately agreed while starting to make excuses for herself. "But you can't bla for that. How old was I then? During the day I had to deal with those ill-intentioned people, and at night I was made irritable by you, Qila. How could my attitude be good?"
Young Qila had been super annoying, especially when Leticia dragged her exhausted body back to the bedroom only to see her sister hadn't done any howork at all.
That anger really shot up like a rocket.
"A trash sister who takes out her frustrations on her own sister." Qila snorted.
"Ah, this..."
"Your Majesty, Princess, dinner is getting cold." Xue'er smiled and clapped her hands, interrupting the conversation between these two sisters.
The maid thought the relationship between Her Majesty and the Princess was quite good now.
If this could continue, it would be wonderful.
Nothing special happened that evening, except the Guild Leader once again led people in chasing those two black-clothed figures around Central City in a big circle.
These two unfortunate black-clothed figures were now starting to suspect there was a mole in their organization. Otherwise, how could it be that just as they t up, that hateful gray-haired person would imdiately appear and chase them around?
But they were just relatively low-level operatives in the organization. After their suspicion reports went up, there was no follow-up—who knew if the organization took it seriously.
Judging from the past few days' situation, they completely hadn't taken it seriously.
After finally escaping that gray-hair's pursuit, the two black-clothed figures leaned against a wall, gasping for breath as they continued discussing orders from above.
"We really have to make a move on that Su Qianqian? I think this is a bit too aggressive." the tall black-clothed figure said.
"Besides making a move, what other options are there? We can't assault that place head-on, can we?" the short black-clothed figure retorted.
That manor was now completely impossible to breach frontally. Unless the top figures from the organization took action, otherwise with just their ordinary combat power, going there would be like throwing eggs at rocks.
"You can't assault it—that was your conclusion. You talked about going undercover, but they didn't want you, and you wasted my two bombs for nothing."
"But I also said that Su Qianqian probably isn't easy to deal with."
"She's still easier than the people in that hellish place, right? You know how fast a high-level ability user can travel. Unless we break through their defenses and take that Half-Elf within ten minutes, otherwise we'll probably have to face that Miss Bai and the reinforcents she brings." The short black-clothed figure snorted. She had tried twice before—the guards there were very strong, at least not sothing she could easily break through.
She couldn't do it, this tall black-clothed figure couldn't either, and even if the Divine Envoy personally took action, it would take great effort to resolve.
After seriously comparing, the tall black-clothed figure had to admit that going after Su Qianqian seed safer.
At least she was a weak woman with no strength to truss a chicken, seed to have been injured before and hadn't recovered well, with no visible protection around her.
Looking at it this way, she really was a perfect target.
If they captured her, forget about whether they could directly exchange for that Half-Elf—at least they could make Bai Ling's side conflicted.
What they needed wasn't necessarily to directly get the Half-Elf, but as long as the relationship between Bai Ling's side and the Half-Elf deteriorated, they would have room to operate.
If they could really confirm the Half-Elf's relationship with Bai Ling's faction had broken down, then their side would have much more operational space—they could trick this Half-Elf into joining them.
"I really don't know why the higher-ups care so much about this Half-Elf. She's obviously just so unremarkable person." the short black-clothed figure said with so dissatisfaction. "This operational funding would be better given to for bomb research."
"The higher-ups definitely know things we don't know. Don't think too much about it. Also, giving you funding for bomb research would be worse than putting money in a bank—at least it wouldn't go down the drain."
"My bombs are very powerful!"
"Heh heh." The tall black-clothed figure gave a cold laugh.
Then her expression froze, because she saw flashlight light again and heard so ssy footsteps.
No way, right?
Was that person never going to stop?
"Damn, can't you two be a bit more peaceful? I want to go ho and sleep!" The gray-haired girl erged from the other end of the alley holding a flashlight, her face showing a trace of helplessness. She had thought today's work was finished, but on the way back, she saw these two eting again.
No choice but to work overti.
"Then why don't you just go ho and sleep nicely? Why chase us?!" the short black-clothed figure shouted. "Did we provoke you?!"
"Chasing you pays money."
"You fucking—I'm going to kill you!"
