"Pfft, so that's what happened afterwards. Little Ya must have been scared out of her wits by you."
On a sunny afternoon, a cute girl dressed in a black long dress sat in a pavilion in the garden, wearing a faint smile on her face as she listened to her sister recount a recent story.
Leticia's recovery speed wasn't slow at all. Compared to last ti when she almost couldn't wake up, this ti's re seven days of slumber seed routine.
Of course, in the words of the healer who had treated Leticia before: "Don't make this thod a daily practice. Each ti you burn, you'll need at least several months of weakness period."
"Probably, but I did explain everything properly," Qila replied with an embarrassed laugh. "How does it feel to be back among the demons?"
"Sa as before—I want to play gas and look at my waifus," Leticia looked utterly lifeless. "Why is there no internet in the Demon Realm?"
"Since sister is so free, can't you at least look at the official docunts that have piled up over all these years?" A vein bulged on Qila's forehead.
Official docunts?!
Leticia's gaze imdiately beca fearful. Those official docunts that filled an entire room?
If she had to process all of those, she estimated Qila would have to succeed her.
"I'm still a patient."
"Since you know you're a patient, then rest properly and don't think about running away, understand?" Qila glared at her sister. "I'll move those things over and read them to sister one by one. Sister just needs to nod or shake her head."
Qila could handle those minor matters for Leticia, but the accumulated docunts were mostly major issues that Qila couldn't make decisions about.
Having finally waited for her sister to return, if she didn't take advantage of this period when she couldn't run around to solve these historical problems, Qila feared she'd have to go to the human world again soon to drag her sister back.
"No way~"
"Sister, being cute won't work."
Life among the demons remained as peaceful and quiet as ever, but things on the human side weren't so stable.
After Fog City was sealed by sunlight, Old Eagle and the others disappeared without a trace. Perhaps they slipped away secretly while Bai Ling and the others' attention was focused entirely on Leticia, or perhaps they vanished from this world silently.
Later, the Hero Association practically combed through the entire Central City but couldn't find any trace of that old man's whereabouts.
However, while the people were gone, Fog City's main body remained.
It was a beautiful crystal ball containing an extrely exquisite city model, with the most conspicuous feature being a clock tower located at the city's center.
Now, a miniature sun floated above Fog City, illuminating the city and causing the mist to disperse.
"It's truly a miraculous item. We've tried various thods but can't destroy it," Senior Sang stood behind bulletproof glass, looking at the heavily protected crystal ball while speaking to Bai Ling beside her.
"Mm, after all, it's a Divine Seal," Bai Ling nodded. "How's the decoding of the Prophecy Book going?"
"Fairly smoothly, though our people are doing this for the first ti, so the process is sowhat tedious."
The decoding of the Prophecy Book had originally reached a deadlock, since they didn't have the decoding book Qila ntioned.
Until three weeks ago, when Bai Ling logged into the ga she hadn't touched in a long ti out of boredom and saw that book lying quietly in her ga inventory.
Prophecy Book·One.
Prophecy Book? Prophecy Book!
Bai Ling felt her idea was quite ridiculous, but she was indeed wondering whether this Prophecy Book in the ga was connected to the Prophecy Book she had obtained.
After trying once, she was surprised to discover that the Prophecy Book in the ga was indeed the decoding book Qila ntioned.
Although she didn't know why this ti's decoding book was electronic, at least it was usable.
Thus, the decoding work began in earnest.
"So, what exactly happened that night?" Senior Sang was sowhat curious. Losing contact for several hours, and the next day's condition was so poor.
It was hard for her not to overthink.
"I promised others I couldn't say," Bai Ling shook her head. She still wasn't willing to tell others about Leticia's true identity, even if that soone was the senior she respected most.
"I see, that's fine then," Senior Sang shook her head. Though curious, she also understood boundaries. "What about those three little ones? I heard they've been working very hard lately."
"Mm, they have great potential," Bai Ling was completely answering a different question. "With hard training, they'll soon be able to touch the S-level threshold."
The only problem was that every night, the Guild Leader would chat with Bai Ling, telling her idol how much progress she'd made that day.
After learning that her idol was right beside her, the enthusiasm those three little ones really left Bai Ling at a loss.
Still, being lively wasn't bad.
With Leticia gone, Bai Ling felt her heart suddenly beco empty.
Before, when she was bored, she would go find Leticia, but now, downstairs from her ho was completely empty.
Although the furniture and bedding were still there, that girl who never gave anyone a good face was gone.
Would she co back?
Bai Ling didn't know. She hoped Leticia would return.
If push ca to shove, she could also go to the Demon Realm to find Leticia.
But at that ti, she'd probably be driven out, since in the past, after entering the Demon Realm, she had only done one thing—slash at Leticia.
Sigh, such troubles.
......
"You were the one who released the Fla Moths into the Elven territory?!" Hearing Qila casually ntion her sche, Leticia nearly choked to death on the tea in her mouth.
She had guessed which heartless person had thrown Fla Moths into the elven forests, but she never imagined it was actually her dear sister who did it.
"I had to give those Elves who were so idle they were about to grow mushrooms sothing to do, otherwise they'd cause trouble again," Qila said with complete indifference. "Anyway, I only provided a little help to the Elves' opponents as an enthusiastic citizen. Even if the Elves search, they won't trace it back to ."
Rather than let the Elves cause her trouble, it was better to cause them trouble first. At least this way, she was happy.
"Hiss... Qila, that beastman girl, don't tell that was also your handiwork?"
"I only created an opportunity for her to elope with her lover. I didn't interfere with anything else," Qila chuckled mischievously, fully displaying her scheming nature.
"Sigh, I wonder when I'll recover from my injuries. I'm about to grow mushrooms from boredom too."
"Since sister is so bored, why don't you approve so official docunts, or et with the Four Heavenly Kings? They all miss sister very much."
"Wah, absolutely not! I want to abdicate. I don't want to be this Demon King anymore!"
