Chapter 1659: Reincarnated Friends (10)
The return of the Shadowless Assassin had sent ripples across the universe, especially through the Demon Universe. She was from their side of the universe, after all.
However, what she represented now, or had represented, didn’t align with their beliefs back then, and it still doesn’t. She sided with the Paragon, and the demons hated the Paragon.
This hatred stemmed from an event that happened during the Blood Era.
After Asura found out that the person who spiked the drink that led to him unknowingly sleeping with the Seven Chaste Maidens was from the Demon Empire, he became so enraged that he started a bloodbath.
He killed so many that the Heavens Court, which had already started looking for a reason to cement their claims that the Asura Race was an enemy of the universe, took advantage of his carnage and weaponized it.
The demons were already furious, so with a little manipulation from the Heavens Court, they became one of the races that joined the campaign against the Asura Race.
So they had already had a sour relationship since the Blood Era, and two Eras later, the Shadowless Assassin incident occurred as well.
So they hated each other, and now that one of their greatest weapons had returned, but on the side of their enemy, it made the demons even more furious.
But they knew they had to kill her before she became a threat that could no longer be contained.
Klaus didn’t really have any worries in this regard. He had already done more than enough for his wives to be able to roam the universe freely. If the demons, or anyone else, were to e after her, then they would have only themselves to blame.
Klaus knew his wives wouldn’t just sit there and watch one of them perish. So he wished the demons would e, so Nia and her sisters could make them understand their place.
But Nia’s return wasn’t the only one to spark debates on the UniWeb and Dark Space. The return of the Limitless Sword Demoness had also thrown the universe into chaos.
People who knew Aoi personally started reaching out. Enemies had also begun to stir, and, most importantly, the Ananke Ancient Family had started making moves to see if they could repair the broken relationship between them and Aoi.
Regardless, everyone wanted to know why these two amazing ladies were both the Paragon’s wives. This question had bee a hot topic, testing the intelligence of many.

Back on Planet Caelmir, Klaus and his friends, along with their girlfriends, had witnessed Hunter’s attack on Lord Mordrika and Asmodeus’ eventual arrival.
But while that was nice and all, the real shock was Aoi and Nia’s sudden reveal.
Klaus had already spoken with them and asked whether they wanted to reveal themselves to the universe, and they said yes. Part of the reason was that they wanted to reach out to old allies who would prove valuable in the battles yet to e.
Another reason was to flush out old foes and be done with them before the main dangers arrived. The last thing they wanted was to be ambushed in the middle of a terrible battle.
So they planned to make their eback. What he never expected or discussed was how they planned to announce their return. Seeing Aoi and Nia return during Hunter’s invasion mission put a smile on his face.
“Looks like Nia has bee even more dangerous now,” Scarlet, Kilian’s girlfriend, said, staring at her through the projection displaying the battle.
As people who had witnessed her rise from the rank of a mortal to where she was now could attest, she had e a long way.
However, they also knew the kind of monster she was, so this didn’t e as too much of a shock to them. Her return was long overdue.
“One day, we will also make our eback,” Danny said, already planning to return to the Titans to reclaim his throne and lead them back into battle as allies of the Paragon.
Of course, he expected resistance, but Klaus could only pity whoever was bold enough to stand in Danny’s way.
Klaus looked at him and smiled. “Then you’d better make some noise when the danger es. Very soon, we will witness the first universe-ending invasion, and you will finally get to witness true terror. If you can rise to meet the occasion, then surely the Titan King’s return will spread across the universe.”
“Fear not, Klaus. I will make sure whatever or whoever is ing will understand the wrath of a Titan,” Danny said, slamming his fist against his chest.
Daniel and Miguel just smirked, knowing their friend was, as they always said, one of the most chaotic people in the universe. The two Barbarians could only smile and hope that, when the time came, Danny wouldn’t outshine them all so thoroughly.

They continued to converse for a few more hours before, suddenly, the cocoon housing one of Klaus’s friends from the Primordial Era—Mark’s big brother, who was also the First Celestial Supreme—cracked, releasing waves of sword intent.

“Big Brother,” Mark recognized the sword intent immediately and jumped to his feet.
The sword intent soon spread across the entire planet, causing the natives to sigh and mutter, “Not again.”
The past few months had been one weird event after another. Today, just after experiencing a series of bizarre incidents, another one had appeared, sharper and deadlier.
The crack widened, and more sword intent flowed out. He had been one of the best swordsmen back during the Primordial Era. Between him and Aoi, Klaus didn’t know who was better.
But he knew this: while Aoi was good at taking out a large number of targets because of her Limitless Sword Domain, Mark’s brother excelled in one-on-one bat.
Regardless of how monstrous his opponent was, he always rose to the occasion.
The cocoon soon came undone, and waves of dark mist flowed out, obscuring everyone’s vision. However, deep within the darkness, Klaus felt the presence of someone he knew all too well.
A few moments later, the mist cleared, revealing a handsome man with flowing red hair, a clean jawline, ruby eyes, and a slender physique. His body was covered in a red-and-white cloak, and he had a sword strapped to his back.
He stood at barely 6’7″, and while he was an ancient being, his regal appearance, that of a man in his late twenties, made him eye candy to women everywhere. He was good-looking, though not on the same level as Mark, his little brother, or Klaus.
His gaze scanned the people before him, and when it landed on Mark, shock appeared on his face. However, when he saw Klaus, a smile formed, and Klaus smiled back.
“Wele back from the land of the dead, Matthew,” Klaus said, reaching out for a handshake. However, Matthew ignored his hand and jumped into his arms, a smile spreading across his face.
He had regained the memories of both his past life and his new one, so he knew that both had nearly ended prematurely had it not been for Klaus, or, as he loved to call him, Paragon.
Recalling how close he had e to being the vessel of a demon, yet Klaus had been there to save him again, even helping him benefit from the ordeal, his emotions stirred.
Danny, who had been denied a hug by Klaus, smirked and planned to challenge Matthew to a duel. However, he was a bit hesitant, considering that the aura surrounding Matthew was that of a Pseudo-Primordial.
