Chapter 1600: Going All Out
Blood Shadow was pletely dumbfounded upon finding out that over thirty Supremes were looking for her.
Initially, when she sensed the presence of the three Supremes, she thought they were there to check up on her, as they usually did every few weeks.
This wasn’t because they were being polite, but rather as a professional courtesy to the daughter of a warrior who had once saved their lives.
However, when she saw their expressions, her mind suddenly snapped to the kid who was the reason she had run to this planet in the first place. She thought the Renegade Hunter was searching for her.
However, when she found out that wasn’t the case and that the ones looking for her were actually Supremes, she had nothing to say but to follow them to the mansion of one of the three Supreme Guardians.
A few minutes after they got there, Queenie, Vida, Nadia, and Anna arrived. The rest of their sisters had already spread out to explore the planet and see if there was anything nice they would love to buy.
But with four Supremes arriving specifically for her, she tensed.
However, when her gaze landed on Anna, a recollection struck her.
“It is you,” she muttered, pointing at Anna.
Anna smiled and nodded. “Nice meeting you again. How have you been?”
The expressions on the faces of the three Supreme Guardians changed slightly. They had been tense at first since they still had a hard time believing these ladies weren’t here for the bad reasons.
They knew Blood Shadow had angered some powerful people before she ran to them, so they were tense and ready to fight. Her father was their saviour years ago, so they also want to repay him by protecting their daughter.
However, seeing Blood Shadow recognise one of them, they calmed down.
What they didn’t know was that right after Klaus’s battle with Blood Shadow, Anna and one of Klaus’s Uncle Monks had appeared on the scene, and in exchange for helping her heal some of her injuries, she gave them her spaceship.
In her mind, two powerful immortals who could have easily killed her instead healed her and only took her spaceship. This gave her a good impression of Anna.
However, the shock soon set in when she realised Anna was no longer an Immortal. In fact, she wasn’t even a God but a Supreme. This caused her eyes to widen slightly.
However, she quickly calmed down and answered, “I have been better, Senior. Thanks for your help the last time.”
Anna smiled and nodded. “You can just call me Anna. And these are my sisters, Queenie, Vida, and Nadia.”
Blood Shadow trembled slightly, not from fear but because of how politely she was being treated.
She was merely an Immortal Lord, so it was virtually impossible to garner such respect from a Supreme. Yet here she was being asked to call a Supreme by her first name.
That sounded wrong, and she most certainly had no plans of doing that. However, she knew she had to accept the offer, which was the most logical decision she could make.
In the end, she found a solution to her predicament.
“Okay, Big Sister Anna.”
Anna smiled slightly, knowing that if age in this life were the deciding factor, she would have to call Blood Shadow Great-Grandma. After all, she was thousands of years older than her.
However, when it came to matters such as soul age or mental age, then, as someone who had lived for over a million years in her past life, she could easily be regarded as a senior or big sister by a thousand-year-old immortal.
Even so, she made no attempt to correct her. After all, as long as Blood Shadow could trust them, they wouldn’t mind whatever she chose to call them.
“What is your name?” Nadia asked, taking a step forward.
Blood Shadow looked at her and could tell she was an Elf. However, she first examined her to better understand her, something she always did, given that she could be ranked among the best assassins in this star system.
Studying an opponent was the first thing all assassins did whenever they met someone new.
“My name is Kalynda.”
“Kalynda, what a beautiful name.” The four ladies nodded, smiles playing on their lips.
“Tell me, Kalynda, would you like to take a walk with us? We have something important to discuss with you. And yes, this has something to do with the Renegade Hunter. However, you have nothing to worry about.
“We have already spoken with him, and out of respect for us seniors, he has decided to forgive you. That means he won’t be ing after you ever again. So what do you say?” Queenie asked.
Kalynda became frozen for a second before giving a polite nod.
Some time later, they were seated in a coffee shop.
Although Kalynda was still a bit unfortable around these powerful ladies, she made sure she wasn’t panicking either. Thankfully, after drinking a cup of coffee, she calmed down considerably.
“I am ready now,” she said, causing Anna and her sisters to smile.
“Very well. So here is our offer, and I hope you will like it.” Queenie took a deep breath and began, “We are a group of women with a particular set of skills. My speciality is close bat, and I cultivate Blood Qi. My sisters are also specialised in different fields. However, we are all wives of the same man, and yes, he is the Renegade Hunter.”
Kalynda tensed again. However, the smiles on the faces of the four ladies calmed her once more.
“We are telling you this so that you know we mean well. It is true that you offended our man; however, we don’t blame you. He is a troublemaker, so we understand.
“However, he needs your help. We all do because you have something that would benefit us greatly. However, before that thing can be harnessed, you must first trust us pletely.
“So our offer is simple: join us, and we will help you bee a God in less than a month. We will also help you access whatever techniques you want and even make sure you get revenge on whoever you want, except our man.
“And no, after you help us, we won’t abandon you. You are very important to us, and that will never change.”
Kalynda remained silent for a few minutes, her mind spinning.
The offer she had been given was out of this world. In a sense, it could even be considered too good to be true. However, for reasons she didn’t know, she believed them.
That scared her a bit. However, from the seriousness in Queenie’s words, she seemed to recall something, causing her eyelids to twitch slightly.
Lifting her head, she scanned the faces of the four ladies and asked, “This thing you said I am the only one who can give, does it have something to do with a key?”
Queenie and her sisters widened their eyes upon hearing her question.
This told Kalynda that they were there because of the key sealed inside her Soul Sea. She had always had it from the moment she awakened. Deep inside, she believed that the day the key was unsealed would be the day she would bee truly overpowered.
However hard she tried, she couldn’t unseal it.
Today, she seemed to have found a path to unsealing it. This made her very happy on the inside, but she remained calm on the outside.
“We are indeed here for the key. However, before we can unseal it, we have two more stops to make. So, are you ready to roam the universe with us as we work to make you a God? Travelling with a bunch of supremes could be fun, you know,” Vida asked with a smile.
Kalynda nodded without any hesitation.
