"Who...?"

Greed imdiately followed in the direction where the figure had flashed by,

What he hadn’t realized was that ever since he had boarded this cruise ship, his abilities as a Blood clan seed to have been sealed. If he were in his normal state, he would have caught up with the person instantly.

Now, Greed was like an ordinary human, his running speed nearly the sa.

But he himself hadn’t realized anything was amiss or incongruent, everything that happened seed ’natural’ to Greed, and the moon shining above the sea always managed to calm him down.

By the ti Greed reached the corner, the other person had already run into the cabin, leaving only their heel visible.

But this ti he saw it more clearly, the pale and delicate heel was barefoot on the ground,

Was it William? He wasn’t sure, but it felt more like that of a well-maintained noble.

Keep chasing,

The obsession to ’kill William’ grew stronger under the moonlight and the crashing of the waves, deeply rooting itself in his mind, forcing him to believe that the mysterious person he was chasing was William.

However, every ti he chased to a corner or staircase entrance, he could only ever see the "foot",

He followed this all the way to the bottom cargo hold of the cruiser, where it was filled with large items shrouded in black cloth, and the air even held a slight stench.

Just as Greed thought he had lost his target, a cold breath ca from behind him, and before he could react... a sharp firefighter’s axe had already fallen.

"Beheading"

The head slid off,

Before his vision completely closed, he saw the mysterious person in a raincoat dragging his headless body to stash it on a nearby shelf, then turned around to try and pick up the head.

Greed’s consciousness began to blur, and he died again before his head was picked up,

His consciousness flowed into the darkness,

When moonlight once again entered his eyes, he abruptly woke up from the wooden boat.

"What on earth is going on... Was I ambushed by William from behind?"

Greed touched his own neck, finding it unhard, as the mysterious cruise ship appeared once again above the sea.

He chose to board the ship again, not knowing where else he could go.

This ti, Greed did not chase recklessly but followed the "figure" cautiously, now certain that the person was deliberately luring him below decks.

No matter how slowly he walked, he could always see the person deliberately leaving their heel at corners and stair entrances, clearly guiding him.

As Greed passed a tal dining trolley, he hid a suitably long dinner knife in his waistband,

Back in the cargo layer,

He was constantly on guard and arrived at the place where he died last ti, but this ti the ’mysterious person’ didn’t appear for a long ti.

After waiting for a while and confirming no one was approaching, he recalled how the other person had stuffed his body among the goods. Driven by curiosity, Greed lifted the black cloth covering the large items.

"This!"

The scene before him was astonishing,

The shelves were packed with bodies lying haphazardly, and all the bodies were his own.

As Greed stood stunned, the mysterious person quietly approached from behind, their axe swinging... Perhaps it was preemptive caution, or perhaps it was an instinctive reaction.

Greed suddenly ducked.

Click!

The firefighter’s axe missed and struck the pile of bodies, montarily getting stuck due to the excessive force.

Opportunity!

Greed pulled out the dinner knife with his other hand, and relying on his combat instincts, he stabbed the person behind him in the temple...

Just then, a hint of moonlight seeped in, shining right on the face of the mysterious person.

The mysterious person, knife still embedded, bore a face identical to Greed’s, only much more haggard, his pupils filled with madness and unwillingness.

His face was covered in stubble, and the corners of his mouth still had remnants of moldy, expired food;

he seed to have been living on the ship for a long ti.

Even with a dinner knife stuck in his temple, he continued to stand still, mumbling obsessively,

"Just three more, just three more! If I offer them to the ocean, to the moon, I can leave... Why..."

As soon as he finished speaking,

Greed slapped the dinner knife, driving it fully into the brain.

Looking at the ’himself’ lying on the ground with brain matter oozing out, Greed suddenly realized that he seed to be trapped in so kind of illusion, stuck in this strange black ocean.

"The last three, leaving... what on earth happened to ?"

He forcefully pulled out a fire axe to defend himself, and returned to his original position on the deck, looking out over the vast, pitch-black sea,

and surprisingly, a wooden boat was approaching from the direction he was gazing.

The person sitting in the wooden boat was himself!

In an instant, his thoughts connected—in fact, they were ’involuntarily’ linked under the moonlight.

"Could it be! If I kill enough of myself, can I escape from the ocean, flee this Illusion Realm? The ’’ emphasized earlier that there were only three left, aning I just need to eliminate the last three to et the conditions?

For now, what should I do? If it doesn’t work, I’ll think of other thods."

Watching the wooden boat drawing closer,

Greed made up his mind, imdiately running towards the cruiser’s side corridor, casually draping a raincoat hanging in the passage over himself to conceal his face and prevent the other from recognizing him.

He also chose to take off his shoes to minimize the sound of his footsteps.

Once he confird the other ’himself’ had boarded the deck, he intentionally exposed a mont’s footsteps to draw the other closer, leading him to the lowest level to behead him.

As ti passed,

Each ti killing ’himself’ beca more difficult than the last, and success was not guaranteed.

The blood-soaked ’Greed’ finally killed three of "himself" and stuffed them into the cargo rack, found the control lever and dumped all the cargo into the sea as the so-called ’offerings’.

When he returned to the deck again, he could no longer rember which number Greed he was, the only thing he knew was that he had achieved it, he had t the unclear ’demand’.

The moon hanging over the sea no longer appeared hazy but gradually beca clear, showing a deep, hollowed big Eye, high bridge of a nose, and a chilling smile.

Gazing at ’Greed,’ it seed very pleased with the offerings he provided.

Buzz! A single strand of light fell upon him, the black ocean disappeared, and Greed returned to reality.

Standing in the center of the Altar in the Deep in the Mansion - [Underground Church], now reduced to ruins, all his thoughts, all his mories, and his abilities as a Blood Subject all returned to normal.

And a few ters away, on a bench that had not been crushed by falling rocks,

William, with half a head bearing curved horns, was smiling at him, even clapping as if he had just watched a very fine Performance.

Greed’s eyes widened, he hadn’t expected that activating Blood Armor and even draining two of his own kind would still get him caught and trapped so deeply.

But he did not panic;

as long as he was not dead, no matter how bizarre things beca, it did not matter.

He imdiately looked up at the silver Fra, and seeing half of the Epidemic Liquid remaining, his heart gradually relaxed. He even took out a pure white fine needle from the treasure trove again and inserted it into his forehead to enhance his Concentration and reduce the likelihood of being affected by illusions.

Now, the real fight was about to begin,

Before starting, he still asked curiously, "How did you do it... I was wearing Gold Eyes and had activated Blood Armor, yet I fell directly into the illusion without noticing anything. Even if you, William, briefly beca the moon’s spokesperson, you couldn’t possibly have such exaggerated abilities, right?"

William, sitting on the bench, slowly stood up, speaking with a smile on his face:

"Isn’t the answer right on top of your own head, Greed? Because you are too greedy, even wanting to drain your own kind dry, that’s why you ended up like this.

Your reckless greed has already caused you to completely lose yourself, Greed.

Those two Earls in charge of guarding the passage weren’t just ntally impaired;

their organs, nerves, and Blood and Flesh were all contaminated with ’Dead Sea Moon’.

Being all absorbed into your body, doesn’t that equate to leaving double for the next person? If you don’t succumb to illusions, then who would?

Your capabilities exceed mine;

I originally didn’t consider using illusions against you, but who knew you would be so greedy, thinking about draining your own kind’s Blood even at such a ti.

It’s no wonder why Blood Subjects beca extinct if soone like you can beco one of the Seven Marquis."
