Chapter 971: 969: Resonance of Malice

[City of Evil]

Central Tower

This building’s height far exceeds that of everything around it, even surpassing the current world’s maximum limit. It penetrates deep into the Plane, and all observational thods fail to view the entire structure from the base.

Its style is not that of so ancient tower but rather a modern building, characterized by brutalist architecture. Massive geotric elents are pieced together in an unpolished rectangular structure that extends upwards, with Cold Iron and pitch-black colors creating an intense feeling of oppression.

Even many Evils who live here never dare to approach this building, and so don’t know what it actually does.

However, this building that no one dares to approach typically welcos a special visitor today.

A man dressed in half Gold, half Black suit and wearing a smiling face mask stands at the building’s lowest level, in front of a door resembling a corporate entrance.

His head is completely leaned back, vision crawling up the side of the building, reaching the limits of the naked eye.

Click, click~ A gray single Eye grows at the eyebrow of the smiling mask as if a beam of Evil Sun shoots between the eyelids, substituting and breaking through naked Vision to continue upwards.

Soon it exceeds the current world’s Limit, infiltrating deep into the Plane.

Tsk~

A clicking sound cos from under the mask, the eyeball retracts and disappears.

"Just like the rumors said, it’s impossible to see the top of the building from the base.

"The verification here is so slow, and no one cos to open the door. Given the issues in personnel dispatching and inefficiency, why build a high building at all? Even when boasting, one should consider one’s own conditions."

The person who ca here was William.

Because the waiting ti was too dull, William began to stomp his Foot in front of the polished tiles of the door.

Unexpectedly, the sound of the leather Shoes stepping on the tiles was rather crisp.

William beca interested, using the different Rhythms produced by front and back heel tapping, he improvised a temporary tap Dance.

He beca increasingly manic, undoing his suit buttons and swinging his tie in hand.

This Dance was naturally all captured by the monitoring cara at the building entrance, lacking any Rhythm, and without Music, it was nothing short of awkward dancing. ??????????Ё??

However,

William did not suffer from Social Death,

Instead, the security personnel in the monitoring room felt uncomfortable watching such unrestrained dancing, a Fear sourced from instinct erged, toes almost scraping the Shoe-bottoms, unable to focus Vision on the display.

Under pressure, the door opening ti was pushed forward.

A man with a lengthy body, maybe even a bit too lengthy, ca out to greet and made a gesture to invite William.

He seed like an ordinary company employee, but when William tried to see his exact appearance, it was as if he couldn’t focus on the man’s face, the view becoming incredibly blurry.

However, when the view shifted away, peripheral vision could capture a clearer outline and features.

"Is it not a Vision issue but a Plane deviation or so refraction effect?"

William didn’t care much about the man’s appearance. He was here for official certification with proper procedures.

The employee bowed with a gesture to invite, "Mr. William, please wait in the lobby. The boss hasn’t started work yet. I will take you up when it’s ti."

"Shouldn’t the boss always be working? With a salary many tis higher than that of an employee, enjoying all privileges, not working 48 hours a day seems unreasonable, doesn’t it? Just take

up, I finally got all the signatures. Don’t waste everyone’s ti."

"Please wait a mont, sir."

"Wait, wait—can’t you say anything else? Why don’t we chat a bit instead?"

William was a bit irritated. He had gone through a lot of risks for this docunt, even needing the support of Yi Chen to reach the Seventh Heaven.

Now with everything finally sorted, the opposing attitude was still dismissive.

William was sowhat inflad, Malice spread, the mask’s surface even sprouted writhing pustules.

He planned to use this person as an Experint, trying a new form of Social Phobia... But as William spread his arms preparing to tell a story,

Buzz! His Thought suddenly tremored.

"Wait for I handle a private matter." The very word ’wait’ he just deaned actually ca out of William’s own mouth.

The main body sat on a sofa in the lobby, consciousness heading to the long-missed Thought Hall.

All mories are stored in the Library here, where mory details can be reviewed and viewed.

Compared to the previously Ordinary, pure white conventional Library.

Now, due to William being the Plague Master and the Worsening happening, it has greatly changed,

beco larger,

filled with more Gold decorations, various types of table and shelf designs. Each desk center has a vortex-shaped structure, where Readers seem to be able to enter hidden cosmic compartnts through vortices.

Of course, William was not here to look at past detailed mories,

He walked directly to another side of the Library, where no shelves or decorations are placed.

Standing upright in front of a wall with white tiles, sticking his entire face upon it until all compressed Skin made contact with the wall.

A chanism triggered... Ka!

An unknown secret door opened even Yi Chen wasn’t aware of.

Dark, damp, and devoid of any Illumination, even the Library’s white light couldn’t penetrate the unknown dark chamber.

Bookshelves here are filled with various damp books, just as if they were freshly fished from the water.

Every book emits an extre Evil Aura, seemingly storing terrifying mories that can’t be expressed in words, even so subconsciousness.

Current,

These books are writhing madly, like the consciousness subject resonates with them.

"Oh~ such a strong reaction.

It seems that the affinity of the Tenth Disaster with Yi Chen is indeed high;

the effects occur so quickly! If there weren’t important matters at hand, I would want to visit the film set to see what’s happening, to find out which fool has offended my Yi Bao."

...

Film Set

As more and more people gathered around, Lorrian, the Assistant Lighting Designer, also arrived at the scene, observing Yi Chen’s extrely violent actions thoughtfully.

The director, upon learning of this, hurried out from the office, losing a shoe in the process, but was still late.

The pig landlord responsible for the setting was already battered to death, and Yi Chen didn’t even send the trash to the Dead Sea, directly smashing the most basic Concept.

"Mr. Yi!"

As the director stepped forward to pull the still-beating Yi Chen back, a glance from Yi Chen surprised the director into retreating two steps.

Yet Yi Chen’s Eyes quickly resud normalcy, stopping the assault on the corpse.

"Sorry, didn’t hold back."

The director was preparing to scold Yi Chen when the stout actor responsible for playing Miles squeezed through the crowd, patting Yi Chen’s shoulder.

"No worries, Mr. Yi! You clearly were very angry, it was deserved for that waste to provoke you, and rightfully dead. These guys who normally handle transportation tasks, getting rid of one ans others who are useful can eat the boxed lunches.

Plus, this way no one will doubt your capability! Subsequent scenes will surely be fild more smoothly, right director~"

"Mm."

"Co on! The first scene is starting soon. Co watch

unleash total carnage, today’s extras are quite feisty!"

The starring actor licks his lips, his ten fingers rhythmically flexing his joints.
