"Hundred-Headed Slayer"
When this oddly-shaped dagger appeared,
everyone present, including Lorrian, felt an inexplicable threat as if the blade was already poised on their necks, as if their heads would rge into the dagger.
William was also startled;
it was the first ti he’d seen Nash pull out such a weapon for combat.
As the dagger was unsheathed, those remnants of vile killing intent hidden within Nash surged forth like shattering fragnts, converging towards his palm, even causing the dagger to twist and activate.
It was so startling that it jolted Yi Chen, who had just settled down to rest, awake,
"Oh! The killing intent is even more intense than I imagined, and you like beheadings too? If you compare it to mine, it’s really on par;
no wonder he’s the Circus’s top executioner."
William seized the opportunity to ask, "How does Nash’s killing intent compare to yours, Yi?"
"Compared to ? Nash performs assassinations in the dark, while mine are in broad daylight. It’s not easy to compare them... If I must, they are indeed neck and neck, truly worthy of the Circus’s top executioner."
"What specific differences are there between your killings and Nash’s?"
"The difference is huge. My killings are based on the worldview, values, and life philosophy that I’ve established. I have specific killing targets, and I can peer into the evil in people’s hearts, beheading them before their despicable true faces can disgust others.
To put it simply, I kill for myself,
while Nash obviously kills for others. He himself is not even imrsed in it, never even considering killing on his own accord. Every ti, he kills efficiently on orders, serving solely for the purposes of others.
Without obsession or imrsion in killing, he goes on massive killing sprees, resulting in his killing intent becoming fragnted, not consciously consolidated, and freely concealed, mostly undetectable in his usual deanor.
Quite interesting. If treated right, this ’parasite’ could produce great effects if allowed to thrive in my brain, combined with my killing thod."
"Killing for others, huh..."
William stopped conversing with Yi Chen and picked up his glass adorned with moonlight, appreciating this hard-earned moonlit duel. What interested him more was Doctor Fana.
"The ’chaos’ brought from the world connected through Galon’s dreams, combined with the patients, even enabled a non-normality with inferior talent to make such progress on their path.
Nash is the Circus’s top assassin, even patients from the Old World would wet themselves in fear.
If Lorrian were to complete the Moon’s transformation and fully combine that chaotic world with the Moon, I wonder what kind of terrifying organization, or even a new world, might be born."
On the beach,
Doctor Fana, her body comprised of countless infusion tubes, swung her arms at Nash with a thousand needles each ti, but never once hit the target.
All the approaching infusion tubes were cut off in advance, turned into dical waste that fell into the ocean.
The way Nash swung his dagger was akin to a demon god, and it didn’t look as if just one hand was swinging it but rather as if he had hundreds of arms,
each arm holding a split dagger, collectively slashing.
Fana was well aware that her opponent was a top assassin, far surpassing her in fighting experience. If this weren’t a sparring match, she would have been dead already.
But... she didn’t want to give up just like that;
she at least wanted to show the proper form, not to bring dishonor to her master.
After her attack was slashed apart once again, Fana was ready for a transformation.
The blood-colored cross woven behind her converged at its peak to form one large unity needle. This was not an attack on Nash, but...
Whoosh! The needle plunged directly into the back of the doctor’s head, injecting all of the bright red liquid to the brain in one go.
Hum!
A blood cross mark erged on Fana’s forehead.
Her body shape also began to change imdiately, transforming into a purer form of chaos.
The legs encased in high heels detached, drifting off into the sea with the waves... Abandoning the lower half of her body with both legs also symbolized her renunciation of human form.
Not only that, but the multitude of infusion tubes making up her torso also began to rge, eventually achieving ’unity’ into a singular infusion tube.
One end plugged into the brain, the other dangling in midair.
The entire figure was simplified, yet the impression it gave was more dangerous, more chaotic.
"Forced Infusion"
Nash too was curious about this simplified form, watching the floating head with a single infusion tube and vaguely felt unease.
But he was still considering the "non-lethal" command as he brought the knife down towards the neck and head.
When the strike of the dagger ended, it had rely sared so blood onto the blade.
In the instant of their contact, the "infusion" was already complete.
No one could see clearly, as if rely touching Fana in that body shape would forcibly implent the concept of infusion.
Nash’s back of the right hand had been pierced with a needle and plastered with adhesive tape, drops of pink liquid falling from Fana’s brain, flowing through the IV tube into Nash’s body.
It was unstoppable,
even if he cut off his entire arm and regrew it, the concept of the infusion could not be interrupted,
in less than three seconds,
Nash’s entire body began to show severe allergic reactions;
his responses were all disordered, and his skin began to develop both large and small rashes and swellings, even his blood started to flow backward.
Blood stread from his seven orifices,
yet Nash’s killing intent did not decrease;
he forcefully resisted the chaos, launching an attack relying on his body’s instinct,
biting off all his teeth in his mouth, he struck out with his knife!
Hum!
The blade finally stopped at Fana’s forehead, rely making a slight cut in the scalp... Even at this point, Nash still prioritized William’s non-lethal command.
Snap! A snapping sound ca from the banquet area,
"Enough, co back now~ Fana."
Lorrian actively called a halt to this exchange, the outco determined.
Upon hearing Lorrian’s order, Fana decisively suppressed her disordered emotions and disengaged the infusion state.
The IV tube connected to the underside of her head reverted to its original tal form, the lower half of her human structure reforming with the dripping blood, the blood-colored cross on her forehead slowly fading away.
Seeing Fana reverting so smoothly back to the patient body shape, Lorrian was well aware that the instant noodles he had just consud had the desired effect.
Applause~
Sitting in the central seat, Lorrian began clapping, praising the seaside performance.
"Very good indeed... William, your subordinate is quite impressive, we lost.
As agreed earlier, after I have completely wrapped up my work related to the Silver Sea, I will join the circus temporarily with the Moon, exchanging performances for your circus’s specialty foods.
By the way, am I being played again? I always feel like you’ve tricked
once more?"
William widened his eyes, speaking in bewildernt, "Huh? Shouldn’t this be called a fair trade, winner takes all? By the way, Lorrian... your Moon modification plan is terrifying.
If you really get such a chaotic army, what will you do with it?"
"I don’t know, I don’t have any plans at the mont;
I simply want to make good use of my relationship with Mr. Galon, and I’m also imrsed in such transformation experints... As for what to eventually do with it, I haven’t thought about that yet.
I might use it for good deeds, or I might do sothing bad."
"Ok then, I need to check on my deputy officer to see if he can withstand the effects of the forced infusion."
Just as William prepared to check Nash’s condition, the latter had already returned to the dining table, leaving a trail of limbs and chunks of flesh along the way.
Through this thod of self-mutilation and regeneration, he had largely expelled the chaotic substances in his body.
"Nash, take this to replenish your body."
William prepared a bucket of instant noodles for him, and the latter happily plunged his head into the bowl, sucking the noodles with his mouth, nose, and eyes.
"By the way, Lorrian~ there shouldn’t be anything else after the night banquet.
If you don’t mind, I would like to ask the ’gift’ I sent you so questions about the Deep Sea. After all, we still need to report back to Fish Origin."
"Sure, but don’t think of trying anything funny, William;
I know your Madness Brain can imprint sothing invisibly."
"Don’t worry, I really just want to ask verbally!"
