[Reagan’s Perspective]
Unlike William,
Reagan, ever since he stood in front of the Black Ascaris Company’s headquarters, his not-yet-completed ch-enhanced physical body had been continuously generating a sense of unease. The body had even autonomously produced strong electrical currents to prevent him from entering the building.
Because his chanical body detected the presence of soone inside the building who could completely destroy everything Reagan had constructed thus far, ending the so-called ’chanical Ascension.’
When he took the elevator to the top floor of the headquarters and saw the boss’s true form, he finally confird the source of his unease.
While working with those old fellows who liked to conduct research, Reagan had used his spare ti to read through so important intelligence they had recorded about Ancient Tis.
It ntioned the ’special groups’ that existed between each Source Epidemic Area, second only to the Plague Masters.
Such as the ’Seven Marquis’ of the Bloody Manor, the ’High Table eting’ of the Cancer Palace, and so on. They symbolize the top existence within the Silver Circle, managing their armies in coordination with the Plague Masters.
As a forr Source Epidemic Area, the "Holy Nest Protozoa (The Protozoon of Hallownest)" naturally also had such a group.
Unlike the Seven Marquis, the Holy Nest Protozoa had only three mbers, yet each one was imnsely powerful.
This strength doesn’t just refer to the Holy Nest Protozoa themselves;
the ’Hosts’ that these protozoa parasitize are also among the top levels within the Silver Circle. Often, such host vessels are referred to as ’Holy Nests,’ signifying the most sacred and highest level of container.
Under the combination of these hosts and the parasitic protozoa, they reveal an incredibly formidable deanor, and any Patient from the Ancient Tis would show reverence when speaking of the Holy Nest Protozoa.
And precisely because of this power, when war erupted, outsiders noticed this group of Parasites first, sparing no expense in deploying a large number of troops against the Holy Nest Protozoa.
Eventually, with the death of the Plague Master, the disappearance of the Holy Nest Protozoa, the entire Nest fell apart.
One of the ’Holy Nest Protozoa,’ also known as the strongest protozoan, the ’Right Hand of the King’ in legend, its thematic color was precisely black.
"Holy Nest Protozoa, Burn Douglas!"
When Reagan retrieved this ancient and distant na from his mory, the vocal cords in his throat couldn’t help but quiver and sound.
"You actually recognize ... It’s been very long since I’ve appeared in the Old World."
The boss looked at this slightly overweight human youth with a hint of surprise, at the sa ti directly affirming his identity.
Although William didn’t know what the Holy Nest Protozoa was, the boss’s ability to establish such a high-caliber organization, coupled with the pressure continuously emitted from him, he could guess sothing.
President Burn politely invited the two to sit down, "Let’s get directly to the point and talk about the problem with the Blood Citizens. Can you give
a detailed account of ’Greed’ Greed’s death?"
William briefly explained the situation on the human organization’s side, pointing out mostly how Greed had died largely due to his own avarice.
"Additionally, there’s another matter... After I killed Greed, I deliberately kept his brain active and tossed his head back into the Old World, directly declaring war on that group of Blood Citizens." -c
The boss’s face contorted with excitent. "Declaring war with Greed’s head? Very creative, very thoughtful... I wonder what kind of expression those Blood Citizens had when they received that head.
The only pity is that ’Gluttony’ Glatoni, the truly dangerous individual, wasn’t completely killed. Otherwise, the overall strength of the Blood Citizens would be greatly reduced.
Moreover, that clever individual didn’t choose to return through the channels controlled by my company’s stations, or else I would have rushed over to intercept imdiately."
"Hmm... Marquis Glatoni’s devouring ability is indeed very dangerous. Mr. Burn, do you have any thoughts about the Blood Citizens?" William also tossed out his most concerning question. If he could obtain the full support of the Black Ascaris Company, their chances of success would greatly increase.
The boss stood up and walked towards the window with his hands behind his back.
"These damned Blood Worms still carry on their madness from Ancient Tis, attacking my company’s Ascaris Cars without any negotiation and even killing all the crew mbers.
This matter, I will definitely address.
But because the Black Ascaris Company is currently at a crucial stage of developnt, dealing with these crazy Blood Worms will also impact the Skin Factory, leading to a direct stall in the company’s developnt.
You’ve seen for yourselves, how my company has reached such heights in a short period. Any issues could invite repression from various forces, and even Rong Chang might take the opportunity to intervene from the shadows.
Therefore, I can only bury this matter in my heart for now. Once the company becos the number one transfer company and is completely stable, I will settle accounts with those Blood Citizens.
However, since Mr. William, you have already declared war on those pests, it seems this matter can be moved up a little bit."
Upon saying this,
President Burn turned around, the parasite that was his true self staring directly at William through the living eyes of his mask.
"How do you plan to combat these refugees from the Old World?"
William replied in his usual tone,
"I currently belong to the ’Fear Circus,’ and it just so happens that my boss also detests the Blood Citizens, so he should be very supportive of
in this matter.
The most important thing is still myself, I must achieve a ’qualitative’ improvent before launching a final assault on the Skin Factory. The fact that I was able to kill Greed this ti relied more on external factors.
Additionally, there might be other forces that intervene, which I cannot be certain of right now."
"The Circus, hmm~"
Upon hearing the na of the Circus, Burn seed to ponder sothing.
"Co see
again when you’re ready to take formal action... At that ti, I will provide sufficient military support, and if necessary, I will personally attend."
"Thank you, Mr. Burn."
President Burn sat back down in his seat, drawing sothing on the paper that resembled a parasite with the tip of his pen, "Right~ William, since you co from the Circus, I happen to have sothing to ask you.
I’ve heard that there’s a very special parasite within the Circus that operates in the form of its true parasitic self, relying on and disdaining any host.
He even killed off his entire species - the ’Amoeba Protozoa.’"
"Ah, that..." The character described by the boss was all too familiar to William, "Mr. Burn, I must tell you that internal intelligence regarding the Circus is forbidden from being disclosed. What I can tell you is that such a person does exist, and I know him."
"How is his strength?"
"Quite good."
"Can you arrange a eting with this guy for ? Don’t worry, I won’t harm him, I just want to see what kind of special parasite he is."
"I will try to communicate it when I return—as long as you have no malice, Mr. Burn."
"As long as they do not infringe upon the interests of my company, I will treat everyone amicably. The ’Holy Nest’ was severely damaged in the wars of the past, and many parasites died in the conflict, so I am pleased to see the rise of talents among my kin.
When do you plan to return to the Circus?"
"When I left, I took a month’s leave, and now about half a month remains."
"Half a month, eh?
How about this, for the remaining ti you and your friend stay with . With your talent, you may be able to learn sothing useful from my company, to achieve that ’qualitative’ change ahead of ti.
During this ti, you will also enjoy the high-level treatnt of the company, and if there are any problems, you can co directly here to see ;
I will grant you the highest level of access."
"Thank you, Mr. Burn."
"I haven’t thanked you for killing Greed yet. So young and already favored by the ’First Abyss’ to such extent, if you hadn’t joined the Circus, I would have spared no expense to recruit you to my side.
Of course, Mr. Reagan~ if you are interested in joining my company, I would be pleased.
With your ’identity,’ you wouldn’t need much assessnt or verification to enter our R&D departnt. Take a thorough tour these next few days, and if you are considering it, you can choose to stay, even signing a temporary contract is possible."
"Understood."
Reagan, facing the renowned ’Holy Nest Protozoa’, showed imnse respect, bowing before following William out of the office.
Watching the two figures depart, President Burn couldn’t help but sigh,
"After combining with our illness, humans from the outside world can still produce such talent... It seems the ’World Infection’ is no coincidence but intentional. The world order, the operating patterns might even change because of such young people in the future.
But change is indeed necessary... Otherwise, we would continue to be defeated."
