[Nightmare Town-Hospital]

Yi Chen used the power of nightmares to nd the injuries his student-Breeder Blanklin suffered in battle, but he intentionally left so wounds incomplete for the weaving of lies.

“Blanklin, you did very well~ to have contended against Doctor Macaul is indeed your limit. Next, I will face the Prophet, and if you assist from the sidelines, your identity might be completely exposed.

After returning, earnestly use the prosthetic given by the Organization, restart your life, and embark on a journey of Seeking Knowledge.

As long as the brain is intact, everything can begin anew, and we will et again then.”

“Thank you, teacher!”

Blanklin also knew that he could not help with the subsequent confrontations and, as a student, naturally could not hold his teacher back.

His mountainous physical form obediently squatted in front of Yi Chen, waiting for the teacher to end his dream.

Crack!

The skull was pried open.

Fine nightmare tentacles burrowed into Blanklin’s brain, using epilepsy to manipulate and modify his mories.

Erasing all mories regarding their eting and him becoming a student, replacing them with a heroic tale of him slaying nightmares at all costs to gather intelligence.

After ensuring there were no loopholes, Yi Chen swung his tentacles, severing Blanklin’s dream connection.

Gurgle~

Bubbles surged inside the Power Station, and soon, workers began examining Blanklin’s brain.

Deep Breath~Yi Chen took a deep breath to quickly adjust his state.

“There’s absolutely no ti to rest~ Let’s prepare to head to the Prophet’s location. If Catherine overtakes , I’ll have no choice but to confront teacher Zede.”

Having his body condition fully replenished by Central Tasting, Yi Chen did not linger and used tentacles to draw the door leading to the Library.

When his palm grasped the doorknob,

a piercing unease stabbed through his brain like a needle, the stress response almost making Yi Chen withdraw his hand.

However, he was determined. rely obtaining points from Macaul wouldn’t guarantee victory in the ga.

If he couldn’t overco this obstacle, he might very well face a losing end.

“Huff! Let’s go…”

With resolute determination, he pushed open the door.

The scene before him imdiately changed to the front of an old Library,

When Catherine designed Nightmare Town, she had specially modified the Library’s space to trap certain troubleso intruders.

Six tentacles quickly attached to the exterior wall of the Library,

Yi Chen used the traits of a nightmare to fully rge his body with the building of the Library.

Having obtained administrative privileges from Catherine, the changing structure of the Library was very clear in Yi Chen’s eyes, allowing him to pinpoint Martin and Marko’s location imdiately.

In Yi Chen’s anticipation,

Beings like Martin and Marko would definitely not stay put in the Library;

they would surely attempt to decipher the Nightmare Space, to quickly reunite with their comrades at the Church… and they might even have opened a pathway through the nightmare already.

However, the reality was vastly different.

“Prophet Marko is actually reading a book?”

The Nightmare Eye penetrated through nurous walls, its Field of View Capture locating the Prophet in the Library’s [second floor], standing upright in front of the bookshelf, reading with his back turned.

Even though Yi Chen could oversee the entire space of the reading room, he did not detect any points that had been deciphered. It seed that Prophet Marko had never thought of leaving the Library;

rather, he seed quite content to stay there.

Yi Chen moved stealthily between walls, getting closer to the reading room where Marko was located, attempting to see clearly the book in his hands, when

a voice directly penetrated Yi Chen’s brain.

“No need to hide and skulk, co out and talk, Mr. Nightmare.”

Since he was discovered, Yi Chen no longer hid and, donning his mask, fully embodied the role of the Nightmare.

Creak Creak~

With six tentacles peeling the wall apart, accompanied by the dripping of black liquid,

the tentacles touched the ground,

gradually supporting Yi Chen, the main body, as he erged from between the walls,

No matter their movent via tentacles or the continuous nightmare aura about them, they hardly looked like a gentleman at all.

“Can we sit down and talk?” Marko slowly closed the book and gestured with his hand toward a sitting area nearby.

“Sure.” Yi Chen was also complying with the Prophet’s request, wanting to understand what the other party was plotting at the mont. Why choose to read in the library at such a pivotal point instead of eting up with his teammates?

The sat opposite each other at a long table.

The Prophet still had his back to him, the white mask on the back of his head facing Yi Chen, looking rather eerie.

“This library has a considerable collection of books, which indicates that ‘Nightmare Origin’ that created this town had a not unsubstantial reading volu. It allows

to utilize these resources to study extensively here and even learn so new things.”

Prophet Marko took out a box of playing cards from his pocket, placed it on his right hand, and continued:

“In my conversations with Magician Jian, I used appropriate verbal inducents and information exchanges to gather many crucial details,

such as the fact that the ‘Nightmare’ affecting Zion was rely the act of a vacationing mber of the circus.

The magician and others were only called in during sleeping hours to assist in splitting up my team. As for why they wanted to split us up, there must be a core issue involved.

Combining the important clue of ‘No Killing,’ this ticulously arranged and planned nightmare seems more like a ‘Ga.’

Let’s assu this is a ga,

then, is it rely the circus lady playing for fun, or a competitive ga between her and so non-circus mber? The mont I saw you, the answer beca clear.

I could tell that although you emit a nightmare aura, it’s more like a ‘coat.’ Your essence is probably not nightmare, for instance, the death aura mixed with the black liquid, that belongs to your essence.

The person playing the ga with the circus lady is you, right?

So, the question goes deeper.

What exactly is the purpose of your ga? Are you simply using our critical human cities as playgrounds for the simplest form of entertainnt, or is there a bigger, more secretive stake?”

Facing Prophet Marko’s reasoning, Yi Chen’s heart skipped a beat, feeling as though the mask he wore on his face was almost seen through.

Prophet Marko continued,

“The gain from this nightmare was quite significant.

My duel with Mr. Jian let

realize so things about ‘magic’… it’s not trickery but true magic which, to so extent, resembles my ‘foreseeing,’ and I tried to combine the two.

Together with the ti spent reading books, I have developed a new divination technique.

Perhaps it might let

directly uncover the true purpose of this ga.”

As he spoke, Prophet Marko fanned out the playing cards and drew several from them.

Instead of displaying them, he kneaded the cards continuously in his hands.

Finally, he revealed a strange [King] card.

The king on the card was rely in monochromatic black and white, his face wearing a weird smile, his body covered in tentacles, the symbol a heart

The king below had multiple colors, primarily black, yellow, and red. Although he also had tentacles, he held an axe in his hand and his attire was more gentleman-like, the symbol a spade.

Having finished the divination,

Prophet Marko looked up, staring at the nightmarish youth:

“Indeed, you’ve been listening to

all along without any attempt to stop or start a fight… This further proves that my divination is correct.”

Suddenly, a whisper sounded in Yi Chen’s head, “Do you need

to lose the duel with you?”

“…” Yi Chen didn’t respond to avoid breaking the rules.

“Good luck winning the ga;

I’ll go back and take care of the hidden nightmares buried in Zion.”

As the dialogue ended,

Yi Chen vaguely glimpsed a shadow shrouded in a hood, taking out a dangerously sharp pair of scissors to cut the dream connection above Marko’s head.

Snip! The Prophet disappeared.

With only Yi Chen left in the library, sweat slid down his cheek.

“So terrifying, was that another side of the Prophet… Is this the difference in top-tier power between

and the organization? Prophet Marko actually deduced the essence of the ga;

his thinking capacity is terrifying.

If it really cos to blows, my chances of losing are significant.

Thus, the crucial factor in victory or defeat rests with the teacher now.”

When Yi Chen cald down and checked the scoreboard, he was stunned.
