Several hours passed.
Yi Chen sat up from the operating table and as he fastened the buttons of his shirt, a maid from outside brought in a carefully prepared nutritious breakfast.
He only took a few bites of breakfast before setting it aside, not feeling hungry at all since he had swallowed a large bag of pus from Jin before dawn, enough to last until noon without eating.
Prophet Yuri was sitting at a nearby workbench, wearing glasses that could seal aura, as well as gloves with the sa sealing effect, drawing a new design for a maid model.
Without sealing, an inadvertent leak of killing intent could shred the workbench.
“Done! The basic design has been finalized. It will require multiple experintal adjustnts later. I hope it can replicate around 50% of your physical structure.”
“Mr. Yuri, the reason you can maintain ‘delicacy’ amid slaughter is because you engaged in chanical design work, right?”
“Exactly~ My earliest slaughters were quite rough. Though they appeared to be very intimidating, the actual efficiency was rather low.
To curb my innate nature for slaughter, I sought out another interest, which gradually led
to the path of design, and unexpectedly found that the two could be related.”
Yuri’s attitude towards Yi Chen had completely transford, even resembling that of a teacher instructing a student.
“However, chanical design requires a foundation of both interest and ti. If you wish to learn, I fear there isn’t enough ti. After sealing myself, I devoted a full ten years to chanical design as a form of interest and dedication.
What I am going to teach you, ‘Slaughter Skill,’ is sothing more suited to you. The amount of ti it will take is directly related to talent.”
“Thank you, Mr. Yuri. Indeed, I don’t have much ti.”
Yi Chen initially guessed that he would be taken to the Duel Arena to engage in one-on-one slaughter combat with Yuri, learning the essence of slaughter through mutual hacking and slashing.
However,
the path Yuri led him down did not go towards the Duel Arena;
instead, they opened a secret door in the chanical Workshop. After Yuri’s identity verification, they reached an even more secluded area.
Because [Cesimani] was located in the underground area of Zion, there was plenty of space available for developnt.
The secret chamber Yi Chen was taken to was tower-shaped, circular and ascending, neatly divided into nine layers.
As Yuri activated switches between the walls,
the ‘display shelves’ hidden within each layer unfolded successively,
and upon each shelf hung models of servants of different forms and categories.
They were models constructed by Yuri during his chanical creations, using different types of humans, Patients as reference;
all were ‘first edition prototypes’.
The interior was made of very detailed tal fras, while the exterior was crafted from high-level imitation flesh, indistinguishable in touch from a real human.
“This is…”
Yi Chen looked up at the hundreds of servant models, not quite understanding Yuri’s true intentions for the mont.
“Slaughter is not just simple hacking,
nor is it about exerting all one’s power to eliminate an enemy,
nor is it about inflicting deadly blows that seem decent, like cutting off heads or piercing hearts.
It is about imdiately projecting the physical structure of the target you need to slaughter into your mind, identifying the most perfect ‘Slaughter lines’ on their bodies, ensuring each of your strikes cuts along these lines,
where the precision, depth, and control of force are just right, to achieve the most efficient slaughter.
You can experience the pleasure and satisfaction that cos from ‘Perfect Slaughter’ in this process, and your opponents too will be respected and equally satisfied because of such perfect killing.
You happen to have a special talent in the field of vision, or rather, your pet inside you can take over the task of ‘finding the Slaughter line,’ and what you need to do now is ‘enhancing the sense of flesh.’
Familiarize yourself with the physical structures of different life forms to ensure that the mont you obtain the distribution of the Slaughter lines, you can carry out the slaughter accurately and without error.
The first edition prototypes I have created here are representative and diverse, embodying the most iconic and peculiar characteristics of contemporary humanoid life.
Use your senses to familiarize yourself with them! Touch all the prototypes to enhance your at Sense.
As for the at Sense of non-human forms, that’s sothing you’ll have to figure out on your own.”
“Understood!”
The scene was a bit strange,
These prototype servants looked no different from real people, even their hair was made from real wigs, and the prosthetic eyes were incredibly realistic, so much so that they were highly lifelike.
Shedding his coat, Yi Chen rolled up his sleeves
He touched the skin of each servant prototype intimately, sotis even pressing his whole body against them, which made him increasingly resemble a pervert.
However, Yi Chen himself did not feel this way;
he was rely following Prophet Yuri’s guidance in “enhancing the sense of flesh”, sensing the roughness of the skin, the lines and their depth, as well as feeling the underlying structures, temperatures, and distributions.
Although he had killed many enemies before and had experiences dissecting bodies with Zede,
Yi Chen had never cald himself to feel a physical body this way, trying to familiarize himself with a body that had nothing to do with his own.
In this process, Madness Brain began to function slowly, feeling the needs of its master, Yi Chen.
Gradually, Yi Chen closed his eyes, no longer using his sight for observation, being able to generate an exact ntal image of the body’s structure with just a touch of his hands over a servant prototype.
Occasionally, he would even take out an axe and gesture with it a few tis.
After reaching a certain number of touches, Yi Chen began to see so “lines” distributed on the individuals’ surfaces.
As the number of touches increased, the lines beca clearer, and he could see multiple lines on a body, perhaps on the chest, thighs, or abdon.
The lines varied in thickness, the thicker ones indicating the need for deeper cuts.
These lines corresponded to parts of the body that were not notably lethal, but in Yi Chen’s view, just cutting these lines would cause the individual to bleed profusely, sustain serious injuries, or even die outright.
Unknowingly, Yi Chen had reached the top floor display room.
When he touched the last model, a set of fuzzy, killing intent-oozing red lines startled him into opening his eyes,
And before him, the one he was touching, was none other than Prophet Yuri sitting in a wheelchair.
“Mr. Yuri!”
Yi Chen quickly withdrew his hand from the sowhat strange area and apologized, bowing his head.
“Cough cough~ Did you see the lines?”
“I did… but the lines on you, Mr. Yuri, are very blurry and even float irregularly, presenting a red mist appearance.”
Upon hearing this, Yuri forcibly suppressed the shock in his heart and covered it up with a stern expression.
“You, a newbie who has just started learning, think you can analyze my Slaughter lines? And, do you have any idea how long you’ve been here?”
“Three… four hours?”
Yi Chen had no concept of ti;
he was fully imrsed in the process of at Sense enhancent, feeling as though it had ended in the blink of an eye.
“Three whole days! Both the day before yesterday and yesterday, that woman Beili ca with Jin, making a fuss wanting to see you, what a pain… I even had to arrange a maid to feed you, but you simply wouldn’t eat, nor would you excrete.
It’s as if your brain deliberately lowered your tabolic rate, focusing solely on enhancing the sense of flesh.
Since you can see the lines, there’s nothing more I can teach you… Go back and find sothing to practice with after you leave.”
Yi Chen scratched his head sowhat sheepishly, “Well, could I continue to stay in your Duel Arena for one more day? There doesn’t seem to be a better place for Slaughter practice in all of Zion than here.”
“Humph… I’ve said it before, the chance to use the Duel Arena is only once.”
Yuri was also holding back his inner turmoil;
he had almost cursed out loud just now.
“Alright~ I’ll figure out my own way to train. I’ll co to visit you again when I’ve made progress or if I have any doubts.”
“Hmm… Aren’t you going for the Nightmare Qualification? Discuss it well with Desline. Try to enter the Dreaming under her supervision as much as possible, and don’t end up dead.”
“Okay.”
After Yi Chen left, Yuri was left with mixed feelings. He had never seen a young man with such a high talent, and it was regrettable that such a person did not belong to Cesimani.
He discarded his troubles and returned to the chanical Workshop to continue the brand new maid design.
