ALL NOVELS' LIST | Chapter List: The Last Commander of the Red Alert XXX-----XXX-----XXX-----XXX In this battlefield hidden from the knowle

In this battlefield hidden from the knowledge of others, there existed no other forms of life except for two figures standing tall amidst the starry expanse.

On one side stood the human king, elegant in his snowy-white attire, the Lotus King.

On the other side, perpetually shrouded in darkness, a Constellation-level mber of the Dark God clan, Zhi Hong.

These two had been adversaries for countless ages. It could be said that if they weren't irreconcilable enemies, they might have beco friends.

"Lotus King, humanity is bound to perish eventually. You kings have long transcended humanity. Why fight so fiercely for the sake of those feeble humans and their empty fa?" Zhi Hong's sinister voice reverberated through the void.

Lotus King gazed calmly at him. "You're not human; you can't understand human emotions. The Dark God clan harbors nothing but negative emotions. Only soone of your caliber can suppress those negative emotions. You should understand that even beings like us don't want to beco rootless drifters in the universe, adrift in every corner."

Zhi Hong fell silent. Though he was a Constellation-level mber of the Dark God clan, if the entire clan were wiped out, leaving only him, he might not endure the loneliness that would follow.

For eternal beings like them, an inability to dispel such loneliness would inevitably lead to problems. Otherwise, why hadn't they encountered a true eternal being accompanying the birth of the universe? It was all because of the boundless sense of isolation, which would ultimately drive them insane or lead to their demise.

Even Cosmic Behemoths, a species with only one representative, preferred to stay in places with life and rarely chose desolate star systems. They were well aware that the perpetual solitude of being alone would drive them to madness.

Of course, not all races were like this; so races were inherently devoid of emotions and preferred solitude.

The universe was a marvel where various races erged, and humans and the Dark God clan were just two among many.

"So, there's no room for negotiation?" Zhi Hong's dark figure swirled violently.

"This outco, you should have known long ago," Lotus King's white attire remained unruffled, despite the absence of wind.

Crack!

The surrounding space shattered.

Behind the spatial rupture lay infinite chaotic currents of space and... the Dark Universe.

The Dark Universe could be seen as another part of the universe, but it lacked any form of life, existing as a realm of absolute silence.

The destructive power of Constellation-level Powerhouses was astounding. When they engaged in combat in the universe, it often resulted in the destruction of nurous large galaxies. To prevent their inhabited universes from losing all their planets, all Constellation-level Powerhouses adhered to an unwritten rule: their battles had to take place in the Dark Universe. Only there could they unleash their powers without restraint.

The space within the Dark Universe was much more resilient than the outer space. Even with their full power, it was challenging to shatter it.

The only way out was through the entrance they had used to enter. Breaking it from the outside would require a short period and their combined power.

To ordinary observers, the battles of Constellation-level Powerhouses were nothing short of godly.

With a wave of their hand, they could obliterate several small galaxies. However, within the Dark Universe, their attacks couldn't affect their surroundings.

Apart from the initial spatial turbulence, there was nothing but boundless darkness ahead.

The battle between the two Powerhouses remained unknown to outsiders until one day when a voice filled with frustration echoed across the Eighth Frontline.

"Lotus King, you've outwitted !"

"Hahaha, so what if I did? How did that last move taste?" Lotus King's hearty laughter followed.

Hearing this voice, the Dark God clan and their followers all wore shocked expressions. Lord Zhi Hong, the highest authority in their eyes, had been outsmarted?

Just by listening to the conversation, it was evident that Zhi Hong had suffered a great loss, and even if he didn't fall, he was surely in a miserable state.

The Human Frontline was motivated by this turn of events. They eagerly charged towards the Dark God clan, sensing that sothing was amiss after Lord Zhi Hong's defeat. They hastily retreated from the Eighth Frontline.

They were concerned that another Constellation-level Powerhouse had erged among the humans and was preparing to unite against Lord Zhi Hong. If Lord Zhi Hong fell, they might all be dood.

The battle concluded, and many witnessed Lord Lotus returning to the palace in high spirits, explaining the situation.

It turned out that Lin Zhi had presented Lord Lotus with a bottle of special evolutionary elixir. It was this elixir that allowed Lord Lotus to evolve once more, enhancing his strength and enabling him to outwit the Constellation-level Dark God during this battle.

Many suddenly understood why Lin Zhi and the others had received so many rewards for their achievents. Lin Zhi had indeed granted Lord Lotus an evolution. For the Eighth Frontline, this was a monuntal accomplishnt.

Once the truth was known, no one dared to question whether Lin Zhi and the others deserved their rewards. After all, Lotus King had severely injured the Constellation-level Dark God on the opposing side, and this significant achievent was primarily thanks to Lin Zhi's contribution of the evolutionary elixir.

As a result, Lin Zhi quickly beca a sought-after figure in the Eighth Frontline. Many approached him to inquire about the availability of the evolutionary elixir.

Such a significant event naturally spread to other frontlines. Fellow Constellation-level Powerhouses, aware of the matter, were quite curious and asked Lotus King about it.

"Wu Yuan, you ntioned that you evolved after drinking a bottle of elixir. Is there any of that elixir left?" A voice reached Lotus King's ears. It was a smiling, rotund man.

"Fatty Shi, you also have your eye on this elixir?" Lotus King said nonchalantly, indicating that his relationship with the man was not very good.

"Hehe, you're being too formal. I'm just thinking about humanity's well-being, aren't I?" The fatty showed no signs of irritation and continued to smile. "I heard that it was given to you by one of your frontier generals. But he has always been on the frontlines and can't go anywhere else. How could he have obtained such a good elixir? The only ti he left was when you sent him back for the Restoration War, but I heard he didn't initiate the Restoration War and even beca a Red Alert Empire person, eliminating the Rota Empire. Is that true?"

"Fatso, you know quite a bit," Lotus King's words carried a clear warning.

Human kings weren't all easy to deal with, and not all of them were genuinely devoted to humanity's well-being.

Lotus King believed he could control himself, but he couldn't manage other kings, especially this fatty.

Despite his perpetually jovial deanor, he was a cunning character!

Anything that could boost his power, he would try to obtain by any ans necessary. Lotus King knew that after this incident, the fatty would definitely set his sights on it. He just hadn't expected the fatty to act so quickly.
