Unnoticed, the hospital room was left with only three people: Ye Jiuliang.

The atmosphere turned slightly cold, with an undercurrent of awkwardness.

Suddenly, a glass of water was handed to him.

Following the slender hand as white as jade, Li Mochan’s gaze t Ye Jiuliang’s indifferent eyes, and he was montarily taken aback.

He hesitated before taking it, and Ye Jiuliang reminded him, "Would you like so water?"

Li Mochan ca back to his senses and took the cup from her.

After thanking her, he said, "It’s so late, and yet we’ve troubled President Li to make a trip; it’s really quite inconvenient."

Li Mochan’s thin lips parted slightly, and he replied with uncharacteristic courtesy, "It’s no trouble; it’s good to hear President Mo isn’t seriously hard."

After completing the discharge procedures, Mo Chen was just about to return to the room when he turned around and ran into Mo Su.

He wanted to pretend he hadn’t seen her and make a run for it, but Mo Su caught him red-handed.

"Mo Chen, where are you running off to?" Her icy voice barely concealed restrained anger.

Mo Chen stopped in his tracks, slowly turned around, and gave a dry laugh, "What a coincidence, you’re here too."

The house servants must have tipped her off. That was indeed an oversight.

Mo Su snorted coldly, "Where’s Dad?"

"Dad is fine now; I’ve completed his discharge procedures, and we’re just about to head back," Mo Chen said.

Mo Su glanced at him and commanded, "Which room is he in? Lead the way."

This was bad.

If Master Extinction saw that Sister Ajiu and the others were here, a quarrel would be inevitable.

Mo Chen stood stiffly, breaking out in cold sweat.

He said with a nervous chuckle, "Dad’s about to be discharged; what’s the point of going to the ward? Why don’t you wait for us in the car, and I’ll go with Alei to help Dad down."

Mo Su stared at him, suspicion arising.

"You lead the way, or I’ll find the doctor and ask for myself," she stated decisively.

The more he kept her from the ward, the more obvious it was that sothing was amiss.

Mo Chen scratched his head, his shoulders slumped in resignation, and he led the way ahead of her.

The elevator continued to rise.

Mo Chen stole glances at the person next to him, his heart filled with unease.

What if they started arguing later?

With a "ding," the elevator doors opened.

Mo Su stepped out first, with Mo Chen following behind with a mournful expression.

Alei was standing at the entrance of the ward, and Mo Su spotted him imdiately, hastening her pace.

"Miss," Alei greeted respectfully with his head bowed as he saw Mo Su approaching.

As Mo Su neared the door, she could hear laughter emanating from inside.

The voice was distinctive; it was her father’s.

Mo Su frowned, wondering how he could laugh so happily while hospitalized.

She pushed open the ajar door and walked straight in.

Mo Chen covered his face, imagining the imminent battle about to unfold.

"Does what you said last ti still count?"

"Of course, let’s have President Li Mochan treat us tomorrow," Ye Jiuliang smiled slightly.

Hearing footsteps, Ye Jiuliang thought Mo Chen had returned and glanced sideways, the smile at the corner of her lips fading slightly.

No wonder Mo Chen had been reluctant to let her co over; it turned out Ye Jiuliang was here.

Mo Su narrowed her eyes, displeasure hidden in their depths.

Mo Chen, this brat, seems to be asking for a lesson.

She walked to the bed in her high heels and asked gently, "Dad, are you alright now?"

Mo Yuan’s voice was indifferent, "I’m fine."

"Miss Ye, how co you have ti to co here?" Mo Su looked at Ye Jiuliang, her smile betraying no emotion.

Fearing that Mo Su would pick a fight, Mo Chen hurriedly jumped in to defend Ye Jiuliang, "It was I who asked Sister Ajiu to co and help."

Mo Su’s brown eyes turned to Mo Chen, her tone aningful, "Mo Chen, General Manager Li and the others are very busy, don’t bother them incessantly; after all, this is our family’s own business—it’s not good to trouble others unnecessarily."

Her insinuation that Ye Jiuliang was an outsider was clear, and Mo Chen, not being stupid, naturally understood what she ant.

Yet, he was very annoyed by these words.

She clearly knew about Sister Ajiu’s relationship with Father, and yet she still spoke with such sarcasm.

Indignant, he was about to speak up when Ye Jiuliang pulled him back.

He turned his head, looking at her with puzzled eyes, "Sister Ajiu?"

Ye Jiuliang hooked up the corner of her lips in a smile, her eyes cool as she looked at Mo Su, "Miss Mo, do you have ti to chat?"

Mo Su smiled faintly, "Of course."

Ye Jiuliang raised her eyebrows and walked out.

As she passed by Mo Chen, Mo Su paused her steps, her voice lowered, "We’ll settle this matter when we get back."

Mo Chen frowned, turned around, and used the back of his head to face her.

Mo Su’s gaze darkened slightly as she walked out of the ward without stopping.

This floor was full of VIP wards, which made it seem quieter.

Ye Jiuliang leaned against the wall, lightly tapping the ground with the tip of her foot.

The black high heels ca into view, and Ye Jiuliang’s lips curved slightly as she looked up at the person on the opposite side.

"Miss Mo seems to harbor quite a bit of hostility towards ," she said nonchalantly.

"Is that so?" Mo Su feigned confusion, "Is Miss Ye being too suspicious?"

Ye Jiuliang let out a dry laugh, the coldness deep in her eyes, "I’ve recently heard sothing interesting, and I ca to confirm it with Miss Mo."

"I heard that Miss Mo has been getting quite close with the shareholders of MK Group recently, even going as far as to purchase their shares at all costs."

"Since Miss Ye already knows, why bother asking again?" Mo Su wasn’t flustered to be confronted and replied calmly.

"I’m just making sure, so I don’t beat up the wrong person next ti." Ye Jiuliang smiled mischievously, but her words carried an edge of viciousness.

"In the world of business competition, all tactics are fair ga. I can understand Miss Mo’s actions, and moreover, I think Miss Mo’s idea is quite good—I plan to take a leaf out of your book."

Only Ye Jiuliang could speak so righteously about beating soone up.

Mo Su’s eyes grew colder, "What do you an by that, Miss Ye?"

"I forgot to ntion to Miss Mo that I am now also one of the shareholders of Tengyue Group." Ye Jiuliang stood up straight, pulling a lollipop out of her pocket and leisurely unwrapping the candy wrapper.

"Five percent of the shares. Although it’s not much, it’s certainly better than Miss Mo ending up with nothing."

As she finished speaking, she popped the lollipop into her mouth, her gaze mocking as she gave Mo Su a sidelong glance, "Right?"

Five percent of the shares?

Mo Su’s face showed annoyance, definitely that bastard Christie’s doing.

Her fists clenched, the smile on her face faltering.

Lately, she had been busy contacting the MK Group shareholders, and she had indeed forgotten to watch out for Ye Jiuliang, letting her find such a big loophole.

That bastard Christie, daring to sell shares to Ye Jiuliang—she would never let him off.

"I never expected Miss Ye to be interested in our Tengyue Group. Is Miss Ye planning to set our two groups against each other?"

"That’s sothing I should be asking you, Miss Mo. After all, I’m just following your lead," Ye Jiuliang shrugged nonchalantly, "If Miss Mo wants to play, I’ve got plenty of ti to oblige. But if I lose my patience and get a bit rough, then I’ll just have to apologize."

Mo Su secretly gritted her teeth, holding back a surge of frustration, seething with anger.
