He already didn’t want to see Mo Yu and her daughter, so Mo Yuan’s suggestion was exactly what he desired. He got up, "Then I’ll trouble President Mo to lead the way."
"Please." Mo Yuan stood up and made a gesture of invitation.
In an instant, only Mo Yu and her daughter remained in the living room.
With no outsiders around, Mo Yu couldn’t be bothered to pretend anymore. Her face clouded over with anger and she pounded the sofa, "Ye Jiuliang was clearly beating around the bush just now."
Saying that Li Mochan doesn’t like to drink that kind of tea, she was obviously implying that what Li Mochan dislikes was Mo Su.
What annoyed her the most was that Mo Yuan actually helped Ye Jiuliang argue her case.
Mo Su was neither pleased nor angry, handing a cup of tea to her, "Mom, have so tea."
"How can I be in the mood to drink tea right now?" Mo Yu complained, "You saw it just now. Your dad has always been biased towards that brat Ye Jiuliang, and even Mo Chen, constantly showing his eagerness to please Ye Jiuliang. I really don’t understand what he’s thinking."
Clearly, after all she said last ti, did that brat Mo Chen listen at all? How can he be so unreserved towards Ye Jiuliang?
The more she thought about it, the more she felt aggrieved.
"Mo Su, if things continue this way, it will be very difficult to have any hope with Li Mochan."
"No matter." Mo Su lowered her voice, speaking calmly, "I don’t necessarily have to have Li Mochan, and I won’t waste too much ti on him."
After all, what she’s wanted all along wasn’t Li Mochan, but the MK Group. Li Mochan was just a stepping stone for her to acquire the MK Group.
But without the stepping stone, it’s no worry. The MK Group would still end up in her bag; it was just a matter of ti.
"But I think Li Mochan is not bad, quite a good match for you," Mo Su said. "After all, n like him are very rare."
"Mom, you know that what I want is a career," Mo Su said indifferently, not hiding her ambition in her words.
She had no weaknesses. To achieve her goals, she could sacrifice everything. But Ye Jiuliang was different; she had too many weaknesses. A person with weaknesses is hardly to be feared.
Mo Yu lapsed into an embarrassed silence.
She knew her own daughter well. Mo Su was different from her; she was more ruthless, more determined, and had a stronger sense of purpose.
One could say, Mo Su was very much like the old master, almost identical.
The doors and windows were open, and the crisp laughter escaped in all directions.
Sitting cross-legged on the soft carpet, Ye Jiuliang reached out to pick up a building block and passed it to Mo Chen, "No, this spot should be filled with this block."
Mo Chen responded with an ’oh,’ obediently taking the block and fitting it correctly.
"Mo Chen, is it just the four of you living in your house?"
Busy searching for blocks, Mo Chen casually affird with a hum, "My dad and my sister rarely co ho. It’s usually just my mom and living here. My grandfather doesn’t live with us."
Ye Jiuliang’s eyebrows lifted slightly, "Your grandfather doesn’t live here?"
"Yeah, Grandfather likes peace and quiet, so he lives alone," Mo Chen replied.
"Doesn’t he feel lonely living by himself? Don’t elderly people usually like lively places?"
Putting down a block and picking another, Mo Chen said, "My grandfather is different from others. He doesn’t like noise, and if I make too much, he scolds ."
As he spoke, he added, "When I was naughty as a kid, he disciplined a lot. I’ve even been made to stand as punishnt and had my palms struck."
"Really?" Ye Jiuliang propped her head up with one hand, speaking casually, "Your grandfather sounds quite stern."
"More than just stern," Mo Chen exclaid with seriousness.
As he spoke, he glanced warily towards the door, afraid that Mo Yu or Mo Su might overhear.
Seeing his timid and honest deanor, Ye Jiuliang chuckled softly, "It seems that you’re quite afraid of your grandfather."
"Everyone in our family is afraid of my grandfather, or rather, there’s one exception, my dad is not afraid." Mo Chen whispered.
Ye Jiuliang humd in acknowledgnt, her eyes flashing with a thoughtful glimr.
It seed that the Mo Family’s old man really had quite a bit of authority.
Her gaze shifted, and she feigned confusion as she asked, "Is your grandfather from Country F? But ’Mo’ should be a Huaguo surna, right?"
"No, why do you think my grandfather is from Country F?" Mo Chen shook his head, asking with a laugh.
Ye Jiuliang said, "You, and also Mo Su, and your mother, you’re all mixed-race."
"That’s not right, my grandfather is Huaguo people, it’s my grandmother who is from Country F."
"Oh, I see."
"Exactly, Sister Ajiu, how should this block be assembled?"
Ye Jiuliang glanced at the motorcycle that was nearly half assembled and effortlessly pointed out the spot,
"Assemble it here."
Mo Chen obediently put the blocks together and smiled brightly, "Sister Ajiu, you’re so aweso, how did you figure it out?"
"Assemble so more when you have free ti, and you could do it too." She said.
"You’re the best, no one played with toys with from when I was little, I always played alone." Mo Chen’s smile faded, and his mood suddenly turned gloomy.
Ye Jiuliang asked, "Don’t you have Mo Su?"
"She never really played with toys, always had a stern face since we were little, just like that." While talking, Mo Chen imitated Mo Su’s deanor, putting on a stern face. His delicate, baby-like face trying to look serious was sowhat comical.
"I always kept super far away whenever I saw her."
If only Sister Ajiu had been there when I was little, it would have been so much fun.
Ye Jiuliang was amused by him, "Why are you so afraid of her?"
Could it be the age gap was too large?
Starting to rant about Mo Su, Mo Chen couldn’t stop talking, "She grew up following my grandfather around, all her ti was filled with learning various things. If she saw playing with toys, I was sure to be scolded by her for not studying."
When he was younger, the last thing he wanted was to see Mo Su. Every ti he did, she’d have a cold face, and it was either calling him stupid or lecturing him for being ignorant.
Mo Su grew up under the wing of Old Master Mo?
Ye Jiuliang caught the key point in his words, her cold eyes slightly narrowed, and she subtly asked, "Mo Chen, there seem to be very few photos in your house, why are there only three people?"
As if a sore spot was hit, Mo Chen sighed softly, "Both my dad and my grandfather hate taking photos."
It was funny to think about; their family didn’t even have one complete family portrait.
Suddenly, his eyes shining, he looked towards her, "Sister Ajiu, would you take a photo with ?"
Ye Jiuliang’s lips curved into a smile, readily agreeing, "Let’s take it."
Hearing this, Mo Chen reached for his phone, brought up the cara mode, then sidled up close to Ye Jiuliang, holding the phone up high.
He humorously said, "Squint your eyes, smile."
Ye Jiuliang was successfully amused, her smile causing her eyes to crinkle up.
With a "click," the mont was captured.
Mo Chen looked at the photo of their beaming smiles in the picture and smiled contentedly.
Ye Jiuliang looked at his silly happy expression, shook her head with a smile, and picked up the blocks to continue assembling the motorcycle.
