"Li Jingjie, who is she? Tell , who is this woman?" Ye Xin scread hysterically.
A not-so-small commotion attracted the curious glances of passersby.
"Ye Xin." Li Jingxuan hurried over, quickly took hold of Ye Xin, and spoke in her brother’s defense, "There must be so misunderstanding, Ye Xin, please let my brother explain first."
"Jingjie, who is she?" The blonde woman couldn’t understand what they were arguing about and instinctively looked towards Li Jingjie.
As more and more onlookers gathered, Li Jingjie’s face showed a hint of embarrassnt as he said gently, "Jenny, these are my family mbers. We have so issues to deal with, so you should go back first."
"Your family?" Jenny smiled and reached out her hand to Li Jingxuan and the other, "Hello, I’m Jingjie’s girlfriend. My na is Jenny."
This statent was undoubtedly rubbing salt into Ye Xin’s wounds, shattering her last bit of hope.
"Brother, you..." Li Jingxuan looked at Li Jingjie in shock, clearly also unaware of this developnt.
Li Jingjie raised a hand to his forehead, took a deep breath, and spoke in a low voice, "Jingxuan, take Xin back first. I’ll explain everything to you later."
"Li Jingjie, I can’t believe I trusted you so much." Ye Xin’s eyes reddened as she struggled free from Li Jingxuan’s grasp and slapped Li Jingjie’s face with the back of her hand.
"Slap—"
"Jingjie." Jenny covered her mouth, a shocked expression on her face.
She turned to look at Ye Xin with clear dissatisfaction, "Let’s talk this out, why are you hitting soone?"
Ye Xin glared at her with fiery eyes, and fluent foreign words flowed from her lips, harshly saying, "Shut up, I’m his fiancée. You shaless vixen, it’s not your place to ddle in our affairs."
"Fiancée?" Jenny’s face quickly turned sour.
"That’s right, I am Li Jingjie’s fiancée." Ye Xin pointed at Li Jingjie, speaking through clenched teeth.
A tingling sensation spread across his face as Li Jingjie watched the situation escalating out of control, before he could think of a solution, the person beside him suddenly grabbed his arm.
"Li Jingjie, explain yourself, is this woman really your fiancée?" Jenny demanded angrily.
Anyone who unexpectedly beca the other woman would not be in a good mood.
"Jenny, let explain," Li Jingjie insisted calmly.
His non-denial was seen as an admission in Jenny’s eyes.
She angrily threw down her shopping bags, and the next second, her hand swung forcefully towards Li Jingjie, "Li Jingjie, you wait and see. I’m going to make my father cancel our family’s partnership with you."
With those words, she left in a huff, her high heels clicking angrily on the ground.
"Jenny."
Li Jingjie took a step forward intending to chase after her but was blocked by Ye Xin.
She asked with heartbreak, "Li Jingjie, you’re thinking of chasing after that vixen right in front of , do you think I’m already dead?"
"So what do you want?" Li Jingjie, upset and dizzy with anger, didn’t care to moderate his tone.
"A partnership I worked hard to negotiate is now gone, how else do you expect to feel?"
Leaving the house today was truly like forgetting to read the almanac, such misfortune.
"What do I want?" Ye Xin asked with a mocking smile, pressing him aggressively, "You keep saying you have to work late or go on business trips, that you don’t have ti to accompany . I’m carrying your child, and you say you don’t have ti to register our marriage, yet you have ti to stroll around here with another woman. Now you’re asking what I want, Li Jingjie, do you have no conscience at all?"
Next to him, Li Jingxuan looked astonished upon hearing that Ye Xin was pregnant.
When did all this happen?
"Business can require playing a role that shouldn’t be taken seriously. My career is just taking off, can’t you just be understanding?" said Li Jingjie deeply, while trying to suppress his anger, bearing in mind she was carrying his child.
"Playing a role? It seems to you’re too happy to think of ho," retorted Ye Xin sarcastically.
Li Jingjie withdrew his hand and cald his anger, "I said it was just an act. If you don’t believe , there’s nothing I can do about it."
"Li Jingjie, are you saying you won’t marry anymore?" Ye Xin took a step back, her emotions starting to crumble.
Li Jingjie evaded the topic, "I think you need to calm down."
Before he finished speaking, he stepped forward, intending to leave first.
"You stop right there." Ye Xin advanced quickly and reached out to forcefully grab him.
Under everyone’s gaze, he was slapped twice. Li Jingjie, also angry, impatiently shook off her hand.
Unexpectedly, Ye Xin wasn’t stable and, being pushed like that, she fell off balance and crashed to the side.
Li Jingjie couldn’t be bothered to care and kept walking.
"Ye Xin."
Seeing Ye Xin fall to the ground, Li Jingxuan hastily went to help her.
The next mont, seeing the blood on Ye Xin’s leg, she scread in panic, "Blood, Ye Xin, you’re bleeding."
Hearing the commotion behind him, Li Jingjie’s steps paused, and he turned and ran back.
"Brother, what do we do, Ye Xin is bleeding." Seeing Li Jingjie return, Li Jingxuan asked anxiously, as if she had found her pillar of strength.
Ye Xin, pale-faced, holding her belly, whimpered weakly, "Jingjie, my child..."
Li Jingjie felt a ss of tangled threads in his heart, forced himself to calm down, reached out and picked up Ye Xin, "Call an ambulance."
Li Jingxuan, in a flurry, fumbled to take out her phone, her hands trembling as she dialed the number.
"Li Shaohui’s son is really too much trouble, even makes cheating seem justified," Veya witnessed the entire farce, shaking her head and sighing.
Such a small heart, divided among two people, is it supposed to be cut in half?
Old Mada Jiang looked at the blood on the ground, sighed, "Poor child in the belly, innocently implicated."
Even if the child survived, given the situation between those two, it’s likely the child won’t have a happy life in such a family.
As the two grieved, Ye Jiuliang stood beside them, silent as usual, her cold eyes discreetly observing her surroundings.
She always felt a gaze fixed on her.
She suddenly turned around, her eyes locked on the corner, a shadow flickered past and disappeared into the crowd.
"Grandmother, wait here for a mont."
Without ti to explain, Ye Jiuliang walked briskly over.
Pushing through the crowd, she arrived at the corner to find the shadow long gone.
Ye Jiuliang frowned, was that soone from the Mo Family, again?
"Xiaojiu, what’s wrong?" Veya rushed over with Old Mada Jiang, looking at Ye Jiuliang with bewildernt.
"Did you see soone?"
Ye Jiuliang slightly shook her head, evasively replied, "It’s nothing, I just mistook soone."
Having always taken her at her word without doubt, Veya didn’t press further, just advised with care, "It’s fine as long as you’re ok, but now that you’re pregnant you need to be careful, don’t rush like that."
Ye Jiuliang humd in agreent, hiding the worry in her eyes, her lips curving into a light smile, "Let’s go, let’s continue our walk."
"Let’s buy clothes for my great-grandson," Old Mada Jiang instantly perked up, her face brimming with a kind smile.
Veya added, "Then we’ll buy so toys."
The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law were in agreent, smiling beamingly.
