Hang up the video call out of nowhere, such a foul temper.

Jiang Yisheng shook his head and chuckled softly.

"Woof woof woof..."

Er Bao ran to his feet, and as Jiang Yisheng looked down, he saw sothing in its mouth and quickly reached out to take it.

"Er Bao, you can’t chew on this hat, let go now."

As if understanding Jiang Yisheng’s words, Er Bao whined softly, then released its grip.

The black hat fell to the ground, and Jiang Yisheng picked it up, patting off the virtually non-existent dust.

It was supposed to be returned to him, but sohow it stayed here with Jiang Yisheng for a while.

Jiang Yisheng’s fingertips stiffened, and a self-deprecating curve appeared at the corners of his lips.

Suddenly, the mobile phone on the table buzzed with vibration.

Incoming call display — Wen Rang.

He swiped to answer, and Wen Rang’s wailing voice ca through, "Asheng, please have a heart and let get a good night’s sleep, okay?"

How was anyone supposed to live like this, him or the rest of his team?

Jiang Yisheng was confused, "What happened?"

"Did you provoke Mingqian again?" Wen Rang raised his decibels, with a hint of helplessness in between his words.

He provoked Ji Mingqian?

What on earth was that supposed to an?

Jiang Yisheng puzzled, "What do you an?"

"Mingqian just updated his Weibo, and he specifically ntioned you this ti," Wen Rang said half-jokingly, "Asheng, am I doing sothing wrong? If you want to change agents, you don’t have to tornt like this, right?"

The last ti Ji Mingqian posted on Weibo, the two of them hung on the trending list for days. Now, not long after, this happened again with a special ntion of Jiang Yisheng. Were they planning to dominate the trending list for the long term?

"What?" Jiang Yisheng’s clear green eyes widened, "You’re saying that Ji Mingqian posted on Weibo again?"

And he ntioned him?

Wen Rang was sure he was caught off guard when he heard the surprise in Jiang Yisheng’s words.

"Go check it out, Mingqian’s latest Weibo post."

The call had been hung up for a while, yet Jiang Yisheng still hadn’t snapped back to reality.

After spacing out for a mont, he finally opened Weibo and slid into Ji Mingqian’s Weibo page; the tistamp on the latest post was from ten minutes ago.

In just that short ti, the comnt section had already exploded.

Without bothering to read the comnts, Jiang Yisheng’s gaze was locked on the content of the post.

[The one who challenges , see you online in the ga.]

He even tagged him at the end.

Jiang Yisheng’s gaze flickered, and his head began to ache.

He really knew how to keep him busy.

No wonder he hung up the video call so quickly; he was off posting on Weibo.

How immature.

Without scrolling through the comnts, Jiang Yisheng closed Weibo.

He found that familiar number and, after a mont of deliberation, hesitated just as he was about to press it.

It was just a Weibo post, why did he have to take it so seriously every ti.

That would just make him seem equally childish.

Jiang Yisheng put down the phone and roughly ran his fingers through his hair, exhaling a breath of stale air.

Forget it, let him make a fuss.

"Asheng."

Veya’s voice ca from the doorway.

Jiang Yisheng looked up to see Veya approach, high heels clicking, a bag hanging on her arm, clearly ready to go out.

"Asheng, co shopping with ."

"Where’s Dad?" Jiang Yisheng’s lips curved up slightly.

Normally, accompanying soone on shopping trips was a job for his old man. Why was she asking him now?

"He got a last-minute call, a friend needed him for sothing," Veya said helplessly.

Jiang Yisheng chuckled, "Then wait a bit, I’ll change my clothes."

Veya smiled gently, "I’ll wait for you downstairs."

Jiang Yisheng acknowledged with an "Okay."

...

The clear sky was dotted with a few remaining stars, and it was another sleepless night.

Sitting by the window, Mo Yu’s face still bore the traces of tears.

It had been so long, and yet, he had not made even a single phone call to her.

Not even a word of comfort.

Mo Yu clenched her fists, her pale complexion failing to conceal her anger.

"Knock, knock, knock—"

The knocking at the door sounded three tis before stopping.

Imdiately after, Aqiao’s voice ca from behind the door, "Madam, Elder Mo has arrived."

Relaxing her clenched fist, Mo Yu furrowed her brows; why had her father co so early?

"I know, I’ll co down after I freshen up."

"Yes."

**

It seed that Mo Su had anticipated Elder Mo’s early arrival; she had gotten up early and was waiting in the living room.

Mist curled up in the air, and the faint scent of tea lingered.

Footsteps approached the entrance; Mo Su put down her teacup and lifted her head as Elder Mo walked in with a steady gait.

His silver-white hair was combed back smoothly, his expression stern, exuding a formidable presence that naturally inspired fear in others.

Mo Su stood up and bowed, "Grandfather."

Elder Mo nodded and took a seat.

"Miss," the butler addressed Mo Su with neither servility nor overbearing confidence.

Mo Su acknowledged him with a soft "Mm," and sat down opposite Elder Mo.

She picked up a cup of hot tea and offered it to him, "Grandfather, please have so tea."

Elder Mo took the teacup, sipped it lightly to moisten his throat and asked, "Where is Mo Chen?"

"Mo Chen hasn’t woken up yet," she replied.

Elder Mo frowned but said nothing further.

After a mont of contemplation, he said, "You handle the matter with Li Mochan yourself and don’t delay it for too long."

Mo Su nodded in understanding, "I know."

At that mont, Mo Yu ca downstairs.

Seeing Mo Su as well, she was slightly surprised.

"Mo Su, you’re up so early. Why not sleep a bit longer?"

Mo Su had not yet spoken when Elder Mo interjected with a cold tone tinged with displeasure, "Mo Chen was spoiled by you."

Mo Yu’s face showed a sheepish expression, and she fell silent.

"I heard Mo Yuan hasn’t returned yet?" Elder Mo’s narrow eyes squinted slightly, the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes bunching up tightly.

"There’s an issue at the company that he needs to handle, so he can’t break away just yet." Though Mo Yu harbored resentnt towards Mo Yuan internally, she instinctively defended him in front of Elder Mo.

"Hmph."

Elder Mo scoffed disdainfully, glancing at her with a hint of contempt, "Mo Yu, you don’t need to make excuses for him."

If it weren’t for the fact that Mo Yuan still had so usefulness, he would not have allowed him to stay until now. Those who dared to disobey him were not tolerated.

Mo Yu’s heart tightened, and she explained, "Father, he really is busy with work. Please don’t overthink it."

"Call him and tell him to roll back here." Elder Mo demanded authoritatively.

Once Mo Su fully took over the company, it would be ti to discard Mo Yuan, the chess piece. He preferred obedient pawns; those who did not obey had no reason to exist.

Mo Yu’s face showed her discomfort, "I understand."

On the side, Mo Su quietly sipped her tea, her thoughts stirring.

It seed that her father had displeased grandfather again recently; this would only lead to more power being taken from her father’s hands and passed on to her.

...

The sky was a limpid blue, with dandelion fluff drifting leisurely in the air.

The taxi stopped a distance away from the villa area because inside, unfamiliar vehicles were not allowed to enter at will.

Since it wasn’t far anyway, Ye Jiuliang didn’t mind, taking the opportunity to take a walk.

She surveyed her surroundings and muttered, "The environnt here is quite nice."

After paying the fare, Li Mochan walked to her side and took her hand, "Then shall we buy a place here?"
