Before they knew it, the two had already made their way to the living room.

Inside, old Madam Jiang and the others were all there.

"Mingqian is here, co and sit down," Jiang Hai called out.

Ji Mingqian smiled and declined, "No need, Uncle, I just ca to pick sothing up and then I have to go buy breakfast for Ajiu."

"I had Aju making breakfast already, just take it away with you when you leave. The stuff bought from outside isn’t nutritious," old Madam Jiang said warmly.

"Have you eaten yet? If not, eat here."

Ji Mingqian thanked her and said, "I’ve eaten already, no need."

"Mingqian, how’s Ahan doing?" Jiang Hai couldn’t resist asking.

Seated next to Jiang Yisheng, Ji Mingqian briefly replied, "He hasn’t woken up yet, but his condition is stable. If he doesn’t wake up by tonight, Ajiu will try other thods."

Upon hearing this, old Madam Jiang’s face showed even more worry.

Seeing everyone’s distressed expressions, Ji Mingqian comforted them, "You don’t need to worry too much, Ajiu will have a way."

At this mont, Veya ca downstairs with a backpack.

Spotting Ji Mingqian, who had suddenly appeared in the living room, Veya expressed her surprise, "Mingqian, are you here to pick up sothing for Xiaojiu?"

Ji Mingqian nodded and stood up to take the backpack from her hand, "Give it to ."

"The breakfast is packed." Mama Aju ca out of the kitchen with the packed food container.

Ji Mingqian reached out to take the food container, his hands full, "Grandma Jiang, Uncle, I’ll be going now. I’ll co over again when I have so free ti."

"Alright, drive safely," old Madam Jiang said.

Jiang Yisheng also got up, "I’ll escort you."

Ji Mingqian glanced at his hand and moved his lips, perhaps selfishly, as the words he was about to say were swallowed back.

He nodded lightly, and the two of them walked out together.

Along the quiet path, a gentle breeze blew, bringing with it a slight chill.

Jiang Yisheng spoke softly, "When will you return to Y country?"

"I’m not going back for now, I’ll see how things go, maybe after Li Mochan wakes up," Ji Mingqian said nonchalantly.

"I’ve noticed you always like to ask this question. What, are you afraid I’ll stick around and bother you?"

Knowing he was joking, Jiang Yisheng gave him a sideways glance, a hint of amusent in his eyes.

He retorted with ease, "I’m afraid you’ll co to my place for a free al."

"Jiang Yisheng, I find you really heartless," Ji Mingqian laughed in exasperation, "The candied haws I bought went to the dogs, huh."

As if it’s a loss for him to freeload on his rice. How could he even say that.

Speaking of candied haws, the smile in Jiang Yisheng’s eyes deepened, "Compared to you, I must have a bit more conscience."

"..."

Ji Mingqian’s mouth twitched slightly, and freeing one hand, his slender fingertips pinched his nose.

"Go on, just try saying that again."

Jiang Yisheng’s gaze grew sharp, as his heated ears were hidden beneath his hair.

He stepped back, "We’re just talking, no need for hitting or shoving, bullying the injured, huh."

Withdrawing his hand, Ji Mingqian mocked, "A pinch on the nose wouldn’t collapse it; are you really that serious to call it bullying the injured?"

Hanging the bag on the bike, Ji Mingqian swung a long leg over and sat on the motorcycle.

Inserting the keys, he reached out his hand and mischievously ruffled his hair.

"I’m off."

Before his words even faded, the engine roared to life, and he rode away on the motorcycle.

"Hey, Ji Mingqian..." Jiang Yisheng, frustrated and fuming, almost flipped his lid.

Next ti he ca over, he’d set Erbao on him.

...

Not long after Ji Mingqian left, Mo Su ca by, just as Mo Chen was about to head out to Beisen.

Separated by the gate’s railing, Mo Chen looked at the person outside, his smile freezing abruptly.

Mo Chen pushed the door open and walked out, his expression unchanged as he looked at ngzhu. "What are you doing here?"

As he spoke, his gaze casually swept across the inside of the car.

Through the car window, he wondered whether Master Extinction had followed along.

ngzhu remained silent and walked over to the car, reaching out to open the door.

The next second, a pair of black high heels touched the ground first.

The woman’s slender figure slowly erged from the car.

As expected, Mo Chen felt a sinking feeling in his heart.

"It seems you’re doing quite well here," Mo Su said with a scornful look in her eyes and a mocking smile on her lips.

Mo Chen’s face was cold. "What are you doing here?"

"My little brother has been living here for so many days; it’s only right and proper that I co to visit," Mo Su said, her tone soothing.

Mo Chen glanced back at Mo Garden and said firmly, "Stop playing tricks here. Go back."

"Mo Chen, do you really want the person inside to see you being laughed at here?" Mo Su asked calmly.

Mo Chen clenched his teeth. "You..."

At that mont, another car drove out of Mo Garden.

The car window rolled down, and the man’s handso face turned around, with his pale green eyes sweeping over Mo Su, a flicker of surprise crossing the depths of his gaze.

"Brother Yisheng," Mo Chen said, looking at Jiang Yisheng with an embarrassed expression.

Jiang Yisheng nodded slightly and got out of the car.

His eyes coolly t Mo Su’s, feigning ignorance, "And who might this be?"

"Hello, I’m Mo Chen’s sister, Mo Su," she said with a slight smile, "Thank you for taking care of Mo Chen these past few days."

Jiang Yisheng responded with a remote smile, his tone indifferent, "There’s no need to thank us."

He turned to Mo Chen, "I’m going to change my dressing. Shall I give you a ride on the way? If you don’t leave now, you’ll be late for class."

Mo Chen nodded, giving Mo Su a warning look; however, it didn’t have much effect.

"Does Miss Mo have any other business here?" Jiang Yisheng asked, his gaze cool as he gave her a distant smile.

Mo Su curled her lips slightly, "I heard that Mr. Li fell ill, so I ca to visit and check on him."

Jiang Yisheng’s eyebrows quirked slightly, thinking to himself that her arrival bode no good.

In an unruffled tone, he said, "Miss Mo might be misinford. Who spread the rumor that my cousin is ill?"

"Is that so?" Mo Su replied, her gaze becoming intriguing as she t his eyes.

"I heard from a friend that Mr. Li was taken to the hospital. Considering my past acquaintance with Mr. Li, I specially ca to visit."

On the side, Mo Chen couldn’t stand it anymore; his face showed his discomfort.

He stepped forward, blocking Jiang Yisheng, and looked at Mo Su with angry eyes, "Go back."

"Mo Chen, is it appropriate for you to behave so rudely towards your sister in front of an outsider?" Mo Su’s gaze slid over Jiang Yisheng, a mocking smile curling her lips.

Worried she would cause a scene, Mo Chen, disregarding everything else, reached out to open the car door and shoved her into it.

"Go back. Don’t make a fuss here, stop it."

Jiang Yisheng, watching the siblings pushing each other, suddenly understood the helplessness in Mo Chen’s tone when he ntioned Mo Su.

"Mo Chen," Mo Su’s voice suddenly turned cold, with a warning edge to it.

"It’s wrong to throw a tantrum in front of outsiders."

With that, she grasped Mo Chen’s wrist and applied a bit of force.

In that instant, a pained expression crossed Mo Chen’s face.

Hiss.

So painful.

Seeing his face change, Mo Su coldly smiled.

What a nonsensical fellow.

Suddenly, a hand reached over and grabbed her arm.

"Miss Mo, if you have sothing to say, say it nicely, there’s no need for violence."
