Ye Jiuliang curled her lips, smiling with ill intent. "I don’t know, let’s try it. Feng Yi and the others are coming, so we can use this for so fun."
Li Mochan reached out to hold it for her. "Want to buy anything else?"
Ye Jiuliang glanced around, but there wasn’t anything particularly fun.
She shook her head. "Just this."
After paying, they left with their bags.
Not far off, Feng Yi called, asking where they were.
Li Mochan handed his phone to her, and Ye Jiuliang asked, "Want to have so late-night snacks?"
"Sure, and bring so drinks," Feng Yi said cheerfully.
After hanging up, Ye Jiuliang looked up nearby famous food stores on her phone and dragged Li Mochan everywhere in search of food.
Having bought the late-night snacks and picked up two dozen beers, Ye Jiuliang was satisfied and ready to return ho.
In the car, Ye Jiuliang rembered Ji Mingqian, who was still in City C, and dialed his number.
"Aqian, want to co over for so late-night snacks and drinks?"
On the other end of the line, Ji Mingqian had just finished showering, his hair still dripping wet. "Late-night snacks and drinks?"
He turned to look at the wall clock—it was just after nine.
Late-night snacks so early?
"What, did you and your significant other have a fight, and now you’re calling to drink away the sorrow?" He wiped his hair with a towel.
Ye Jiuliang laughed and cursed, "Get lost. Feng Yi and the others are here too. Are you coming or not?"
Lastly, she added, "I bought sothing fun, co and try it."
"What is it?" Ji Mingqian was interested in the "fun thing" she ntioned.
"You’ll find out when you get here, are you coming?" Ye Jiuliang asked.
Ji Mingqian tossed aside the towel. "Where are you guys?"
"Rongsheng Hotel."
Hearing the address, Ji Mingqian smiled. "Brother, I’m staying at that place too."
Rongsheng Hotel was the best in City C, and he never skimped on himself.
Ye Jiuliang couldn’t help but chuckle, thinking of Ji Mingqian’s fondness for the finer things in life; it wasn’t hard to understand.
"Then co straight to my place later; we’re in the car now."
As the night deepened, upon arrival at the hotel, Jiang Yisheng and Feng Yi went to their rooms to rest.
After a while, Feng Yi ca to find him, and the two headed to Li Mochan’s room.
"You guys bought so much, feeding pigs?" Feng Yi said in astonishnt, looking at the full table of food.
Ye Jiuliang replied, "Don’t include us when you belittle yourselves."
Her gaze turned to Jiang Yisheng, who had already sat down, and landed on his leg. "Seems like you’re recovering well."
Jiang Yisheng gave a faint smile and joked, "All thanks to sister-in-law’s excellent dical skills."
Ye Jiuliang tossed him a bottle of juice. "Cut it out."
"Why is there an extra pair of chopsticks?" Feng Yi curiously asked, seeing five sets of bowls and chopsticks on the table.
Ye Jiuliang answered, "There’s one more person."
"Who?" Just as Feng Yi asked, there was a knock at the door.
"Knock knock—"
Ye Jiuliang went to open the door, and Feng Yi’s gaze curiously shifted to the entrance.
The door opened, and a familiar voice ca in.
"Ajiu, what fun thing did you buy?"
Jiang Yisheng’s smile stalled, his eyes foggy and impenetrable.
Why is he here?
anwhile, Feng Yi saw Ji Mingqian and they bumped fists. "Mingqian, what are you doing here?"
"Promoting a movie, just t up with Old Xu for dinner," Ji Mingqian said as he walked in, his glance casually sweeping over the person on the couch, the smile on his face fading slightly.
He thought they wouldn’t et again so soon.
Ji Mingqian shifted his gaze, casually picking a spot and sitting down on the carpet. "Ajiu, hurry up and show us what you bought."
