Ye Jiuliang squinted her eyes slightly and flicked the horse with her riding crop.
"Snap—"
The horse’s mane suddenly reared up, and the fierceness in its eyes grew even denser, running as fast as lightning.
"Brother, could there be an accident?" Jiang Yisheng, watching the figure shrink into a small dot, asked with concern.
Li Mochan remained silent, his thin lips pressed into a hard, cold arc, his hands pulling on the reins growing tight.
"This horsemanship is clearly very good, yet he said he only knew a little," Feng Yi remarked, making a tsk-tsk noise as he watched the figure effortlessly riding on the back of the horse.
Ye Jiuliang was such a trickster, clearly an old hand but still pretending to be a newbie.
Suddenly, a long "neigh" cut through the air, shooting straight up into the sky.
The commotion attracted more and more onlookers, including a few familiar faces.
From behind the iron railing, Xiao Lingchen watched the distant figure on horseback, a hidden, cunning light swirling in the depths of his eyes.
Turning to look beside him, sure enough, Li Mochan was also there.
"Lingchen, look, it’s that wild horse." Xiao ngxue, dressed in riding attire, expressed her astonishnt.
Lingchen had also tried to ta that wild horse before but had never succeeded.
And now, surprisingly, Ye Jiuliang, a young girl, was able to ride it.
It was indeed impressive.
Elsewhere, the wild horse began to slow down, and many recognized the person on its back.
It was Ye Jiuliang who had tad the wildest horse in the stable.
The spectators exchanged glances.
Was it because she was wild that she could ride the wildest horse?
"If only you had listened earlier, you wouldn’t have needed a beating," Ye Jiuliang leaned forward, putting a lollipop into its mouth.
"After eating my lollipop, you’re not allowed to throw off, or I’ll take you to be cooked in a hot pot."
Feng Yi and others approached on horseback, naturally hearing her words.
Threatening yet offering candy.
This was the classic approach of giving a slap followed by a candy.
"Mohan." Ye Jiuliang sat up straight, her eyes curving into a smile as she saw Li Mochan.
"Look, mine."
Li Mochan pinched her face and chided her, his words seemingly filled with indulgence, "Do you know how dangerous that was just now?"
Anticipating his nagging, Ye Jiuliang quickly changed the subject, "What do you think I should na it?"
Li Mochan glanced at the dumb horse that was only concerned with gnawing on the lollipop, uninterested and casually made up a na, "Sanbao."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Yisheng laughed first.
That na was too casual.
His Samoyed was nad Sanbao, and now his cousin was naming this horse Sanbao.
Could a dog and a horse be brothers?
"That sounds awful," Ye Jiuliang pouted, looking disdainful.
She reached out to stroke the horse’s mane, pondered for a mont, and a bright light flashed in her eyes.
"How about Wangcai?"
Feng Yi was petrified, "..."
That sounded like a na for a dog.
So tacky.
Even Mohan’s Sanbao was better.
"Mohan, what do you think of it?" Ye Jiuliang looked at Li Mochan with shining eyes.
Li Mochan’s thin lips slightly curved, his voice low, "Good."
Feng Yi rolled his eyes at the two of them, both of their tastes were questionable.
Such a valiant steed nad like this, it’s practically an insult to the horse.
Ye Jiuliang patted the horse’s head and decisively declared, "From now on, you shall be called Wangcai."
Having just finished a lollipop, the steed, upon hearing that Ye Jiuliang had nad it "Wangcai," imdiately expressed its discontent, flaring its nostrils and snorting.
Sensing its dissatisfaction, Ye Jiuliang cracked a nut against its head, "It’s Wangcai, no objections allowed. Wangcai makes you sound prosperous, clearly a lack of common sense, just be obedient, and later I’ll give you a chicken drumstick."
In the end, under her threats and sugar-coated bullets, the horse grudgingly accepted the na "Wangcai" that seed to convey wealth.
Subdued already? Ye Jiuliang ca to tease Li Mochan again, her pale hand stretching out towards him, "Mochan, would you fancy a ride with through the breeze?"
Her untad tone made it sound as if so neighborhood thug under the broad daylight had run amok.
Feng Yi and Jiang Yisheng stifled their laughter, looking towards Li Mochan; it was the first ti they saw soone manage to tease the living King of Hell.
The latter remained calm as if he were used to the woman’s occasional teasing.
Li Mochan took her hand, lightly tapped his toes, leaped gracefully, and settled himself behind her.
His distinctively jointed hands took over the reins from her, while the other naturally wrapped around her waist.
His cold lips drew near her ear, whispering softly, "You little rascal, we’ll settle the score tonight."
Ye Jiuliang snorted, snatched back the reins, and issued a low and clear command, "Giddy up."
The next mont, "Wangcai" raised its head in a long whinny, prancing across the grassland, kicking up tufts of grass with its flying hooves.
"Asheng, let’s run a couple of laps." Feng Yi, seeing the pair turn into tiny black dots in no ti at all, had battle intent flickering in his eyes.
Jiang Yisheng pressed her lips together in a light smile, "You don’t have to consider , I’ll just saunter around for a couple of laps."
Feng Yi suddenly rembered his physical condition and scratched his head.
He had almost forgotten Asheng’s poor health.
"Fine, then I’ll chase after them first, you take your ti, and I’ll co find you later."
Jiang Yisheng nodded, and Feng Yi cracked his whip to set off.
The breeze was gentle, and the onlookers gazed upon the two atop the horse, feeling as if the whole world around them rely served as their backdrop.
"Lingchen, where are you going?" Xiao ngxue withdrew her gaze and turned to see Xiao Lingchen mount his horse, her heart skipping a beat.
Xiao Lingchen did not bother to respond to her, cracking his whip and galloping into the racetrack.
"Lingchen." With other people around, Xiao ngxue didn’t dare to raise her voice, calling out to him in a low tone.
In the blink of an eye, the fiery-maned steed was out of her sight.
Trouble.
She turned to look back at the racetrack, where the fiery-maned horse was in hot pursuit of the wild horse that Ye Jiuliang had tad.
This Lingchen really doesn’t listen, they’re not going to fight, are they?
"Jiuliang, soone’s co to challenge." Hearing the noise behind him, Feng Yi glanced back to see Xiao Lingchen riding the fiery-maned horse, chasing in their direction.
Ye Jiuliang raised her brows and, as she turned, happened to lock eyes with those dark, complex black pupils.
Xiao Lingchen?
"Don’t look at him." His tone, tinged with jealousy, was sour.
Ye Jiuliang averted her gaze, tilted her head up to plant a kiss on the man’s jaw, and teased, "Jealousy in a jar."
Li Mochan didn’t deny it, and a frosty expression crossed his eyes and brows.
"Wolf cub, go sit over there and wait for a while."
"There’s a reward if you win," Ye Jiuliang understood the implication in his words and chuckled quietly.
The corners of his lips unconsciously curled into a pleasing arc, and Li Mochan bent down to nibble gently at her ear, "Rember what you said."
Ye Jiuliang pulled on the reins, and "Wangcai" ca to a stop at the side.
She handed the reins over to Li Mochan and hopped down from the horse.
"Wangcai, you better not toss my man off. Win, and I’ll give you a lollipop," Ye Jiuliang patted "Wangcai’s" head, warning it.
Wangcai shook its head, indicating it understood.
All for the sake of lollipops.
