"The drawer on top of the blue cabinet contains pills; read the instructions and take two," Ye Jiuliang said.

Ji Mingqian responded with a hum, "Got it, hanging up now."

"This guy," Ye Jiuliang muttered about the doctor, then continued playing Dou Dizhu.

In the back row, Jiang Yisheng turned his gaze towards the window, his eyes calm.

Previously, Li Mochan often ca to the Racecourse with Feng Yi, so he was also familiar with the area.

When the three of them entered the private box, Feng Yi, bored by himself, had already started drinking.

"Did you three ride here on turtles?" Feng Yi mockingly said, powerless to criticize.

"I was about to fall asleep waiting for you guys."

Li Mochan glanced at him sideways, "What are you doing here so early?"

Right in the feels, bro.

Feng Yi rolled his eyes at him; it was excessive, blaming him for being early when they were late.

"Where are the stables?" Ye Jiuliang shook Li Mochan’s hand.

"I’ll take you guys there. We’ve got a few especially good new horses recently," Feng Yi offered eagerly.

The group of four set out, and as they passed by the grassy area of the Racecourse, Ye Jiuliang caught sight of the jockeys racing and a spark of light flashed in her eyes.

It had been quite a while since she last visited the Racecourse; she felt a bit nostalgic.

"By the way, Jiuliang, can you ride a horse?" Jiang Yisheng asked casually.

Ye Jiuliang redirected her gaze and, faced with the curious looks from him and Feng Yi, she cracked a smile, "A little."

Upon reaching the stables, Ye Jiuliang let go of Li Mochan’s hand and started to select a horse from within.

There were so many horses; it would indeed take so ti to see them all.

"Feng Yi, which horse here is the wildest?" she asked.

Feng Yi’s lips twitched slightly, "..."

She claid to only know a bit about riding horses, yet she imdiately wanted to pick the wildest one; what was she thinking?

"Jiuliang, maybe you should choose a more docile horse instead; falling off a horse is no minor injury," Jiang Yisheng advised softly.

Feng Yi chid in, "Yeah, it wouldn’t be good if you fell and hurt your brain."

Fell and hurt her brain?

Ye Jiuliang’s head filled with exasperation.

Wasn’t he exaggerating a bit much?

"It’s fine, just tell which horse is the wildest."

"You should ask your significant other; only if he agrees will I tell you," Feng Yi said.

If a fall really happened, Li Mochan would undoubtedly have his head without discussion.

Hearing this, Ye Jiuliang ran back to Li Mochan, hugged his arm, and shook it.

"Mohan, I promise I won’t fall off."

Li Mochan lowered his gaze at her and saw the sparkling eyes of the woman that made it impossible to refuse her.

His lips parted promising the usual indulgence, "Don’t play too wildly, safety first."

Ye Jiuliang nodded obediently, "Mm-hmm."

Feng Yi shrugged his shoulders; well, her husband had spoken, so he had nothing more to say.

"Co with ."

Ye Jiuliang caught up with Feng Yi’s steps and followed him to the end of the stable.

"This horse was just brought in recently. It has a particularly fiery temperant. Even the workers here who feed it usually stand across and use tools to toss the food into its stall," Feng Yi explained.

Following his gaze, a glossy black horse ca into view, and Ye Jiuliang’s eyes lit up.

Spooked by strangers approaching, the horse raised its head and let out a neigh, unsettling the other horses in the stable who started shifting nervously.

Ye Jiuliang whistled. Pretty feisty.

The next second, the horse looked at them with its large, glossy eyes, then turned around, back towards them, swishing its tail haughtily, as if it were the epito of disdain.

Reading disdain and scorn in its eyes, Ye Jiuliang laughed in amusent. Oh, so it dares to look down on her, huh?

Wild enough and quite arrogant.
