The deep, llow voice contained a surprise that pulled Ye Jiuliang back from her confusion.
She turned her face, crashing into the man’s cold and charming dark eyes, where the profound tenderness was like stars scattered across the vast milky way, dazzling and entrancing.
Ye Jiuliang’s heart involuntarily skipped a beat.
She looked down and saw the thumb she was tightly clutching; her pale little face slowly blood into a moving smile.
So it wasn’t a dream after all!
Since she remained silent, Li Mochan thought she was feeling unwell and asked anxiously, "Are you uncomfortable anywhere, hmm?"
Ye Jiuliang raised her head, saw him about to press the call button, and shook the hand that was holding his thumb, "Li Mochan, I’m fine."
Her voice was a bit hoarse from the smoke inhalation and just having woken up.
Despite that Li Mochan was still a bit worried, "Are you really okay?"
Ye Jiuliang tugged at her lips and smiled at him, "I’m fine."
As she spoke, she tried to get up.
"Don’t move." She still had injuries on her arm, so Li Mochan got up and pressed down on her, "Don’t move around just after waking up."
"Help sit up a bit." Having understood her own feelings for him, she took great comfort in his concern.
Unable to resist her, Li Mochan carefully helped her sit up and placed a pillow behind her back.
"Take it slow."

Soon, Li Mochan ca back with a cup of water.
In the cup, he had thoughtfully placed a straw.
"Your hand is bandaged, don’t move carelessly." Li Mochan cautioned, bringing the cup closer to her, "I’ll hold it."
Ye Jiuliang bit the straw, her clear eyes staring straight at him and twinkling with a mischievous light.
Li Mochan’s gaze flickered, "Why are you staring at ?"
After drinking the water, Ye Jiuliang leaned back comfortably and her delicate face resud that unconcerned smile.
"I suddenly find Master Li even more handso and wanted to take a few more looks, is that not allowed?"
Putting down the cup and hearing the girl’s flirtatious words, Li Mochan’s calm eyes tightened and suddenly he leaned close.
He raised his hand to cradle her face, pressing his forehead against hers, his husky voice carrying a trace of fear, "If I’m so handso, then keep looking at and don’t scare again."
Ye Jiuliang held back a laugh, drawing out her words, "So, Master Li can’t take a scare, eh?"
Contrary to her teasing, he took her seriously, "Yes, I can’t handle scares, so don’t do that again."
He could lose anything but her.
Ye Jiuliang curved her lips, her casual tone carrying an undetectable seriousness.
"Then, what if I really died?"
He nuzzled her forehead, "I’d accompany you."
Call him infatuated or possessed, all he sought was her alone.
eting the stubbornness in his eyes, Ye Jiuliang tugged up the corners of her mouth, her crisp laughter floating from her lips.
"Hehe."
"What are you laughing at?" he asked.
"Um, laughing at how silly you are."
With that, she raised her uninjured hand, wrapped it around his neck, and her mouth held an arrogant smile.
"Li Mochan, how about I steal you away to be my boyfriend?"
That instant, it was as if countless fireworks exploded beside his ears. Li Mochan looked at her dumbfounded, his fingers trembling slightly as they rested on her face.
"What did you say?" he asked with a hoarse voice.

Mid-sentence, she leaned forward and kissed the corner of his lips, her smile wicked, "And to tease you like this forever."
Li Mochan snapped back to reality, the corners of his thin lips curling up as a deep chuckle filled his chest.
"Hahaha."
In the end, his laughter filled the entire hospital ward.
Infectious as his laughter was, Ye Jiuliang couldn’t help but laugh as well.
Suddenly, the laughter ca to an abrupt halt.
Li Mochan’s long arms swept around, pulling the person tightly against his chest.
"So happy?" Ye Jiuliang let him hold her and asked, amused.
Li Mochan humd a response, moving close to her ear, incredulously confirming, "This isn’t a dream, is it?"
If it were a dream, he hoped to never wake up.
Ye Jiuliang chuckled lightly, planting a kiss on his sharply defined jaw, "Now, do you still think it’s a dream?"
Li Mochan closed his eyes and then reopened them, his gaze twinkling with a brilliant smile, "Seems a bit more real now, how about you give two more kisses?"
Ye Jiuliang lowered her head and bumped his chest, "You wish."
"Knock, knock, knock—"
The knocking sound suddenly interrupted, quite spoiling the mood.
Li Mochan, holding the person in his arms, stubbornly stayed put.
"Go open the door," Ye Jiuliang pushed him.
"Don’t care."
"Ajiu, it’s ."
The magnetic voice ca through the closed door.
Upon hearing Ji Mingqian’s voice, Li Mochan’s face darkened instantly.
It was that guy again.
With no one opening the door for a long while, Ji Mingqian lifted his hand, ready to knock again, when the prohibited door suddenly opened.

"Long ti no see, Master Li," Ji Mingqian removed his sunglasses, greeting him casually.
Li Mochan cast a disdainful glance at him.

Ji Mingqian was amused, ignoring him and walking straight in.
Seeing the person sitting on the hospital bed, Ji Mingqian examined her carefully to ensure she was alright before he truly relaxed.

Li Mochan returned to sit by the bed, wrapping an arm around Ye Jiuliang’s waist, publicly declaring his claim.

Ji Mingqian’s smile gradually faded, and his gaze darkened as he swept over the hand resting on Ye Jiuliang’s waist.

"Ye Jiuliang, don’t change the subject," Ji Mingqian looked down at her from his high position, narrowing his eyes dangerously.
Li Mochan had taken advantage of them in K organization in last night’s business deal, so why should it be so easy for him to walk away with their cabbage.
Li Mochan shot him a cold look, "Who allowed you to yell at her?"
