Chapter 919: Chapter 921: Mu Shanshan and ng Ke’er Face-to-Face (Part 2)

"On behalf of Mu Group, I welco you, Ms. ng."

Indeed, she had a good upbringing, being the icy president of the vast Mu Group. Although Mu Shanshan inwardly wasn’t very welcoming of ng Ke’er’s arrival at Mu Group.

But given ng Ke’er’s reputation, Mu Shanshan clearly wouldn’t directly make things difficult for her without good reason.

"You’re too kind, President Mu. I’ve co uninvited and caused inconvenience to your company; I hope you can forgive ."

Although Mu Shanshan proactively reached out to shake her hand and welcod her. ng Ke’er, aware that her arrival had sowhat disrupted the normal workflow of Mu Group, obviously wouldn’t hold any sense of entitlent.

"Ms. ng, you’re too kind. Given your fa and status, it’s an honor for our company to have you here, and we should extend our courtesy. Ms. ng, please have a seat."

Under Mu Shanshan’s invitation, ng Ke’er sat down and glanced around her office before speaking with a hint of complexity in her eyes, "Today’s visit was indeed rather abrupt. I’ve co without notice and I apologize for my intrusion. Had I known this would cause issues for your company, I wouldn’t have co so hastily."

"Ms. ng, there’s no need for self-bla. If anyone should apologize, it should be

on behalf of our employees. Their forward manner of observing you might have indeed caused you inconvenience, so it’s I who should apologize."

Upon hearing Mu Shanshan’s words, the apology seed to linger even more in ng Ke’er’s eyes. "President Mu, you’re truly too kind. The cause of today’s situation was entirely my fault. Had I not co unannounced, none of this would have happened. So it should be I who apologizes to you."

As she finished speaking, ng Ke’er intended to stand formally and apologize to Mu Shanshan.

But before ng Ke’er could rise, Mu Shanshan spoke first, "I heard from the receptionist that you ca to look for Lin Fei?"

ng Ke’er, who had intended to formally apologize, was taken aback upon hearing Mu Shanshan’s seemingly off-topic remark, showing a trace of surprise in her eyes.

Nevertheless, even in surprise, ng Ke’er acknowledged Mu Shanshan’s position as host and responded imdiately, "To be honest, President Mu, I did indeed co to find your company’s Vice Minister Lin."

"Since you ca to find Lin Fei, then it wasn’t a hasty arrival, so there’s no need to apologize."

Listening to Mu Shanshan’s rationale, ng Ke’er’s expression of surprise gradually faded. She considered the purpose of her visit to Lin Fei and said with a renewed sense of apology, "To be honest, President Mu, my visit to your company’s Vice Minister Lin was not for business but personal affairs. So I—"

"Business or personal, since you’re here for Lin Fei, whether it’s for the entire Mu Group or myself personally, Ms. ng, you weren’t here unannounced." Cutting off ng Ke’er’s words, and perhaps seeing the surprise in her eyes, Mu Shanshan explained without waiting for her to ask, "Ms. ng, you might not know. Lin Fei, he’s my husband."

Straightforward and direct!

If it were during the early days of their marriage, Mu Shanshan might not have so decisively revealed their marital status herself.

She might have even gone to lengths to conceal it.

However, tis have changed. Compared to when they first married, when she couldn’t stand Lin Fei, now Mu Shanshan has developed nearly an inseparable affection for him.

Since the ti in New Star Forest, Mu Shanshan had already expressed her intent to intervene in Lin Fei’s private life. This resolve only strengthened after Keke moved into the Purple Garden Pavilion.

After all, with their daughter in the picture, in order to give Keke a complete family environnt, Mu Shanshan would certainly not allow Lin Fei to continue behaving like he did at the beginning of their marriage—frivolously chasing other flowers and staying out late!

If it were soone familiar like Shen Peini or Ling Weiwei, considering their mutual acquaintance and future interactions, Mu Shanshan might turn a blind eye once or twice.

However, for ng Ke’er, whom she’d only t for the first ti, Mu Shanshan clearly wouldn’t hold back any politeness!

With one blunt remark clarifying their marital status, Mu Shanshan shook ng Ke’er to her core and didn’t stop there, intent on completely severing any possible romantic feelings between ng Ke’er and Lin Fei.

After pondering for ten seconds, Mu Shanshan looked directly at ng Ke’er and spoke with determination, "Coincidentally, Lin Fei was supposed to co to the company today, but because he was worried about our daughter, he stayed at ho. Here, I believe I should apologize to you on his behalf."

"Pre-, President Mu, please don’t. The one who should apologize is . After all, I didn’t inform Vice Minister Lin in advance." Clearly disoriented by Mu Shanshan’s ntion of "husband" and "daughter," ng Ke’er tried to respond apologetically, but her pale face and eyes, unable to fully hide her panic, undeniably exposed her inner turmoil.

Luckily, Mu Shanshan had already observed so of ng Ke’er’s feelings from her tone and expression the mont she ntioned Lin Fei.

Thus, even though ng Ke’er was having a lapse of judgnt, Mu Shanshan showed no intention of delving deeper or being overly critical.

However, stopping at this point was clearly not an option.

After all, Mu Shanshan disclosed the marital relationship with Lin Fei and even involved Keke precisely because she wanted to completely cut off any possible romantic notions between ng Ke’er and Lin Fei.

Thus, shortly after ng Ke’er spoke, Mu Shanshan firmly inquired, "Ms. ng, you’ve traveled far, and Lin Fei isn’t at the company, so it’s my obligation to host you. I still don’t know the reason you’re looking for Lin Fei. If it’s appropriate, you can tell , and I’ll certainly convey the ssage to him accurately. Of course, if it’s inconvenient for you to tell , I can call Lin Fei right now and have him co to the company imdiately..."
