427: Chapter 427: Nearly 20 Helicopters
Tai Man Ocean, an unknown island miles away from the fall site of the plane from Manzhou to Mo Country which Lin Fei and Xue i were on.
Originally, passengers who had fallen overboard from a luxury cruise were organized by mbers of the Judgent Organization’s Manzhou Base and embarked on the island in an orderly manner.
“We were supposed to be sent back ho, why bring us to this island?”
This was nearly everyone’s first reaction after they landed on the island.
Not just those passengers who wanted to return to Mo Country, but even for ng Ke’er who, to so extent, had so covert relationship with Lin Fei that Xue i would not speak of, even the cold and enchanting Xue i herself harbored such doubts.
If it had not been that in her heart she had already regarded Lin Fei as soone close to, or even surpassing, Elder Wei, being suddenly brought to this strange island would have certainly triggered defensive and wary instincts in the cold and srizing heart of Xue i.
After all, they had just endured the double crisis of a plane crash and a sea hijacking by the Ausar rcenary Corps.
Including ng Ke’er, the surviving passengers, any potential threat inevitably made them extrely on edge.
If it hadn’t been for Lin Fei intervening several tis to help them escape and the mbers of the Judgent Organization’s Manzhou Base annihilating the Ausar rcenary Corps, giving them a significant shock and trust, the majority of them would probably not have disembarked to the island.
Especially since the head of the Judgent Organization’s Manzhou Base, Man Mountain, had announced that they were to be sent back to Mo Country.
Now they were abruptly brought to this unknown island.
It was inevitable that these passengers harbored doubts.
Fortunately, continuous explanations by the mbers of the Judgent Organization’s Manzhou Base eased the passengers’ doubts, and though hesitant, they did not show too much resistance or defiant behavior.
“What are we supposed to do now?”
With the voice of an angel, ng Ke’er who volunteered to sing and soothe the unsettled emotions of passengers, after disembarking on the island beside Lin Fei and Xue i, and walking for two minutes with slightly faltering steps, she asked Lin Fei in a quiet and slightly restrained voice.
Although previously on the luxury cruise, ng Ke’er had perford songs with grace and even a hint of ethereal purity,
having witnessed Lin Fei’s frightening skills firsthand, and his feat of single-handedly killing nearly thirty mbers of the Ausar rcenary Corps, as well as commanding the Manzhou Base of the Judgent Organization to obliterate the Ausar rcenary Corps,
despite Lin Fei previously making an excuse to chat with her on the plane, these mories remained vivid, causing ng Ke’er to inevitably feel restraint and even fear towards Lin Fei.
This was also because Lin Fei had changed out of the casual clothes stained with plenty of blood, and all traces of murderous intent in him had been retracted, with the blood in his eyes fading away.
If it weren’t for this, ng Ke’er might not even have the courage to set foot on the island with Lin Fei, let alone actively asking him questions.
“In your opinion, if we were just on those cruise ships, would we be able to return to Mo Country?”
Lin Fei still had a fair amount of appreciation for ng Ke’er, a woman with the voice of an angel and a sense of ethereal purity.
Of course, it was not just because of ng Ke’er’s face and figure.
Despite her stunning beauty and graceful poise, worthy of being called divinely gorgeous, there were still several won around Lin Fei who could match or even surpass ng Ke’er.
Not to ntion, standing next to Lin Fei, Xue i was definitely a match for ng Ke’er.
If Mu Shanshan, that icy CEO, were to replace ng Ke’er, she would probably outshine her.
Initially, when Lin Fei flirted with ng Ke’er on the passenger plane, it was her enchanting figure that caught his eye.
Now, however, Lin Fei’s fondness for ng Ke’er, who possesses a voice like heavenly music and exudes a sense of sacred ethereality, stemd more from her volunteering to sing and soothe the panicked and terrified passengers.
Having survived a plane crash and a sea hijacking by the Ausar rcenary Corps, Lin Fei, who jumped into the ocean with ng Ke’er clinging to him, could clearly feel her disorientation and even her fear.
When they had just boarded the luxurious Xue i ship, Lin Fei had thought about exchanging a few words with ng Ke’er after changing clothes, to comfort her.
But instead, ng Ke’er had taken it upon herself to comfort others.
Under such crises, ng Ke’er’s ability to quickly adjust her emotions and actively comfort others surprised Lin Fei and inevitably made him grow fonder of her.
A re beautiful vase, after the initial intrigue, is easily forgotten.
A beautiful yet useful vase, however, commands a second look.
Perhaps even, to be placed in one’s ho for a lifeti of admiration.
This was like now, when Lin Fei clearly felt the restraint and even fear in ng Ke’er’s words.
Instead of dismissing her coldly or giving a terse reply, he offered a response that resembled a friendly dialogue between friends.
“I don’t know—no, I can’t.”
ng Ke’er, evidently surprised by Lin Fei’s amiable response and initially taken aback, instinctively replied before quickly correcting herself.
“So, you an there’s a helicopter on this island?”
Unlike ng Ke’er, who had a voice like heavenly music and a touch of sacred ethereality, and confronted Lin Fei with restraint and fear, Xue i, who had been intimately involved with Lin Fei nurous tis and was a cool and seductive leader of Thorny Rose, thought through the reason Lin Fei and others like Manshan might have brought so many stranded passengers to this unfamiliar island, shortly after Lin Fei finished speaking.
“There definitely are so, just not sure how many.
If there aren’t enough, I’m afraid we might have to wait another day to leave.”
Hell’s Judgent Organization at Manzhou Base, where Manshan and Vulture were leaders, had been established not too long ago, and Lin Fei wasn’t very sure about how many helicopters they actually had.
Manshan and Vulture, those two leaders at Hell’s Judgent Organization’s Manzhou Base, had not given Lin Fei a clear briefing.
They only left him with a vague remark before heading to the island first.
Hence, Lin Fei felt it unwise to give too certain an assurance to Xue i and ng Ke’er.
However, when Lin Fei, Xue i, and ng Ke’er crossed a small hill.
Lin Fei realized that he had underestimated Manshan and Vulture, the Hell’s Judgent Organization’s leaders at Manzhou Base.
Beyond the hill lay a helipad the size of three large soccer fields.
On the helipad were parked two ard helicopters that had previously bombed the Ausar Ship, along with nearly twenty other different types of—helicopters!
