“We have a friend missing.
I need to see the surveillance footage from the seventh floor!”

The attendant frowned and said, “I’m sorry, sir.
The manager has already left, and we don’t have the authority to grant access to the surveillance footage.”
“This is an ergency, open it now!”
Lin Fei said coldly.
The attendant frowned, “The password is with the manager!”
Lin Fei stared at the attendant, his presence emanating a chilling aura.
Under his intense gaze, the attendant turned pale, seemingly possessed as he turned on the computer, entered the password, and pulled up the seventh floor’s surveillance footage.
Lin Fei quickly reviewed it and found a segnt from a few minutes past one.
On it, a woman was seen leaving her room and entering the elevator alone.
Then, Lin Fei also brought up the surveillance footage from the lobby and saw Penny walking out alone.
“Damn it, what was she doing out so late at night?”
At this mont, Lin Fei beca anxious.
If sothing happened to Penny, it wouldn’t just be his responsibility, it would also cause a big ss.
“Let’s go look for her!”
Lin Fei said seriously.
But surprisingly, Luo Ying, who had been very anxious before, now held back Lin Fei: “Let’s wait a bit longer.”

Lin Fei then realized Luo Ying probably thought that Penny sneaking out at night might be for a date, and naturally, she wouldn’t want people to know, which is why her phone was turned off.
Luo Ying was afraid that searching everywhere or calling the police would cause a massive negative dia fallout.
However, at this ti, Lin Fei was staring at the surveillance footage and noticed sothing off.
Then, the footage paused at the mont Penny left the room.
You could almost see that Penny had left without taking anything and was dressed in simple lounge clothes—crucially, she wasn’t even wearing a belt, and her hands were empty.
Moreover, she hadn’t bothered to close the door after exiting, although the poor resolution of the surveillance footage made it difficult to clearly see Penny’s expression.
“When you noticed she was gone, was the door closed or open?”
Lin Fei turned towards Luo Ying.
“It was closed!”
Luo Ying nodded affirmatively.
“How did you find out?”
Lin Fei frowned.
“Every night, Miss Penny sends
a goodnight text ssage, without fail.
Tonight, when I didn’t receive one, I thought Miss Penny hadn’t gone to bed yet, so I called her, but I couldn’t get through.
Then I knocked on her door, and no one answered or made any sound, so I took out the spare key card and opened the door.”
Luo Ying recounted the process by which they had discovered Penny was missing.
Lin Fei turned and asked the attendant, “Did you see a woman going out?”
The attendant gave a bitter smile, “There are many people coming and going; I didn’t really notice.”
“Look at this!”
Lin Fei’s eyes flashed as he pointed to Penny on the monitor.
The attendant took another look and then shook his head.
Lin Fei instructed Luo Ying, “Show her a picture!”
Luo Ying took out her phone, found a photo of Penny, and showed it to the attendant, but the attendant still shook her head.
Lin Fei’s expression instantly turned cold, and he abruptly grabbed the attendant’s arm.
“What are you doing?!”
The attendant imdiately shrieked.
