Chapter 1336: Chapter 1339: Bai Ya

"You can’t go." The girl still clung to Lin Fei’s clothes.

Lin Fei was helpless, he bent down, picked up the girl, and then directly carried her into the depths of the forest. At first, the girl resisted and struggled, but she soon quieted down, knowing that Lin Fei wouldn’t harm her, at least she felt that way.

"What’s your na?" Lin Fei asked.

"Xiao Qing..." the girl replied.

Lin Fei nodded and said, "Xiao Qing, what a nice na."

The two headed into the depths of the mountains, the dense forest covering them. Walking in the mountains felt like entering a primitive jungle. On the way, they encountered so wild animals, like mountain wolves, which Lin Fei eventually killed. The two made a fire on the spot, directly lighting a fla and roasting the wolf at over it.

Soon, the wolf at turned golden on the fire, the fat dripping off the skin, sizzling as it hit the flas.

"Hungry? It’ll be ready soon, just wait a minute." Lin Fei said.

The girl, Xiao Xia, nodded, her stomach growling. Feeling a bit embarrassed, she watched Lin Fei’s busy figure and felt sowhat moved.

"Here you go!"

In a mont of distraction, Lin Fei had already roasted the whole mountain wolf, golden and rich in fat, and torn off a leg to hand directly to Xiao Qing.

Xiao Qing looked at Lin Fei, then accepted it, nibbling with her small teeth, getting oil all over her mouth.

Lin Fei tore off another wolf leg and began to munch. After they both felt full, they continued their journey towards the depths of the Man Mountains.

Finally, after two days, Lin Fei and the others arrived deep in the Man Mountains. As expected, there was nothing here, just as Lin Fei predicted!

Lin Fei continued deeper, heading towards the Spirit Platform of the so-called Holy Land in the Man Mountains. When the two arrived, they discovered a building—a house on stilts with eleven structures—that made Lin Fei feel soone must live there, otherwise, it wouldn’t be so clean.

They approached the building, only to find how intricate it was. Standing before the wooden door, they knocked, but there was no response from inside.

Lin Fei gently pushed open the door, startled to find a person staring directly at him. He said, "Senior?"

Why did Lin Fei call him senior? Lin Fei had already thought this through; based on legend, this person should be exceptional, and addressing him as senior was absolutely deserved.

The person was a young man, with fair skin, appearing like a delicate schoolboy, dressed in white. He opened his eyes upon hearing the sound, and a radiant gleam flashed within them as he asked, "What brings you here?"

"We’ve co to visit you," Lin Fei said humbly.

"Visit ?" The young man paused, then said, "You should be visiting soone else, seeking my master, right?"

"Your master? Where is he?" Lin Fei asked.

The young man pointed upstairs, saying, "My master is upstairs, but you cannot disturb him. He’s at a critical mont and must not be interrupted. If you want to see him, co back another ti."

"Next ti? When will that be? Is there a specific ti?" Lin Fei asked.

The young man shook his head and replied, "There is no specific ti."

Lin Fei frowned, saying, "Without a specific ti, how can I wait? This place is full of green mountains and clear water; can we stay for a few days?"

The young man smiled, shook his head, and said, "Brother, for my master to cultivate well, you both should return and co back later. Next ti, my master might be awakened."

Seeing the young man’s stance, Lin Fei didn’t argue, as they were about the sa age, and it was pointless to say more. Holding Xiao Qing’s hand, he moved across the building, then swiftly chopped the wood with a knife.

However, as the tree collapsed, the sound made the young man inside tense up. Without a word, he rushed toward Lin Fei, asking, "What are you doing?"

Lin Fei smiled slightly, responding, "Building a house, of course. If we don’t build a house, where will we live? You’re not letting us stay, and besides, this mountain forest isn’t yours, right? Building a house here shouldn’t be too difficult for you?" The young man clearly understood Lin Fei’s intentional stubbornness. Seeing the serene state upstairs, he compromised, saying, "Alright, alright, I give up, okay! Co in, co in!"

"Where to?"

"In the building, there are rooms."

Lin Fei and Xiao Qing followed the young man back into the building. After allocating rooms for them, the young man seated himself in the middle of the room again, sternly warning Lin Fei and Xiao Qing not to disturb the master upstairs, or they’d be kicked out.

Lin Fei had no objection to the young man’s words. Regardless of who the master was, he deserved respect, especially since they were not within the Beidou Sect of the Man Mountains.

Due to the legendary stories, Lin Fei had more reverence for the young man’s master, despite never eting him face to face.

In the following days, Lin Fei and Xiao Qing stayed there, their relationship with the young man grew closer. Lin Fei also witnessed the young man’s skills, truly extraordinary.

Finally, three months passed without any sign of the young man’s master coming down, which led Lin Fei to question him, "Bai Ya, when will your master erge? It’s been three months, isn’t this too long? Could sothing have happened to him?"

Lin Fei almost wanted to ask if he had died from deviation inside because it was taking too long. However, he held back, knowing if he said it, Bai Ya would surely kick him out.

The young man was nad Bai Ya, information Lin Fei learned after investigating over several days.

While chewing so at, Bai Ya replied, "You don’t know, but my master previously secluded himself for three years. It’s only been two years; he’s been in seclusion for more than a year before you ca, so just wait. It’s no big deal, you’re not busy anyway."

"Three years of seclusion?" Lin Fei was speechless. He never heard of sothing so outrageous and couldn’t understand how soone could survive without eating or drinking for three years.

"Of course, my master is incredible, far beyond what you can imagine," Bai Ya said.

"Your master is truly a divine being!" Lin Fei said, giving a thumbs up in praise.

"Naturally, otherwise, he couldn’t be my master, right?" Bai Ya laughed.

"Right, right." Lin Fei said, unable to help but lant internally, surprised to find that narcissists have existed since five hundred years ago.
