Chapter 1239: Chapter 1242: Copper Man Alley
The Dou Sect Master chuckled, then said, "Co with . For soone like you, a newcor to the Ancient Martial arts, we have special training thods to help you quickly grasp the essentials of Ancient Martial arts, step into its realm, and achieve a glorious future!"
Lin Fei had a sullen look, thinking to himself that it sounded so creepy. What if he was being conned by this old man? But whatever, he had to find a way to pass the trial; otherwise, just sitting and waiting would be pointless. Not to ntion a year, even two years wouldn’t guarantee he could extinguish these candles!
Following the Dou Sect Master, they arrived at the bottom of a high platform, to a small door?
The Dou Sect Master opened the small door, and the two of them went inside. The door closed as if it had never appeared. Lin Fei followed the Dou Sect Master along a passageway inlaid with Luminous Pearls and arrived at an alley. The alley was three ters wide but infinitely long, so Lin Fei couldn’t see the end. He asked, "How long is this passage?"
"You’ll know how long it is once you make it through. For now, just give it your all. I’m giving you three months to get through this alley. If you don’t, then you’ll have to sit in the main hall and reflect on your actions," said the Dou Sect Master, hands behind his back, as he walked into the distance.
"By the way, don’t worry about your als. Soone will bring you food every day. Just focus on how to get through this alley," the Dou Sect Master added, then disappeared at the end of the passage.
Lin Fei looked at the flat alley and said, "What’s so hard about this? I just have to walk through it. Watch ." He finished speaking, lifted his foot, and stepped into the alley when suddenly!
As Lin Fei stepped in, chanisms clicked, and holes appeared on the ground. From these holes erged wooden blocks, forming human shapes, which pounced towards Lin Fei.
Facing so many wooden entities, Lin Fei had never seen such a formation. He imdiately retreated from the alley and noticed that the wooden blocks returned to their positions and disappeared back into the ground holes. The ground closed seamlessly, leaving only seams like floorboards.
Could it be that the chanism only activates based on the grid on the floor?
Lin Fei pondered this and sneaked onto the grid, finding no movent. But when he jumped onto the grid, the chanism reactivated, and the wooden figures erged from the ground and attacked him again.
"Did you really think I’m a sick cat just because I don’t show my might as a tiger? Let
show you the power of my iron fists!" Lin Fei shouted, punching at the head of a nearby wooden figure.
Bang!
Imdiately, instead of the expected crisp wooden sound, Lin Fei’s punch produced a heavy thud as it hit the cylindrical head of the wooden figure. This wasn’t wood!
"A copper man? Damn it, screwing
over!"
Lin Fei roared with anger and quickly retreated, realizing this was deadly. He had put all his strength into that punch, hitting a piece of copper. Damn, that felt so unpleasant; Lin Fei originally thought it was a wooden man!
"Looks like I’ll have to outsmart them." Lin Fei concluded that he must rely on cunning because he simply couldn’t defeat so many copper n. He had just tested them, and those copper figures seed to have eyes, knowing where he was, his position, and even his next move!
That’s sothing ordinary people couldn’t achieve. Lin Fei speculated these copper figures were machines, or more precisely, robots. However, he had no evidence, but he thought he should capture one and test it out.
With that in mind, Lin Fei imdiately tried grabbing a copper man and dragging it outside the alley. Sure enough, it worked. Once outside, the copper man went into berserk mode, frantically attacking Lin Fei, but he eventually kicked it against a wall, rendering it powerless.
As the copper man slumped to the ground, Lin Fei weighed it and realized that lifting a hundred-kilo copper man was already amazing. But he soon discovered those copper n had no visible openings, only interlocking bearings. Additionally, the gap left by the copper man was once again filled seamlessly...
"How strange, there are no wires or anything. If this thing were used on the battlefield, it would be an invincible existence. I guess I underestimated the state’s capabilities; those ten old n in front of
are real actors," Lin Fei muttered, noting how those old guys spent their ti thinking of twisted ways to trip others up.
Since that thod didn’t work, Lin Fei continued pondering how to sneak through. After a few failures, he reluctantly decided he would have to find a straightforward way to get through.
In the following days, Lin Fei studied the patterns and movents of the copper n, and he soon found that the copper n responded to his actions, aning he had to deceive himself before he could deceive the copper n.
There were no problems with the floor, nor any chanisms, so Lin Fei had to face this challenge head-on. He first attempted a sprint, throwing his entire body forward, but ultimately found himself stuck in the alley of copper n, crawling back out battered and bruised.
Lin Fei rubbed his sore arms and legs as he ate his al. He swore he’d make it through. Just a copper man alley, how could it possibly hold him back?
After eating, Lin Fei put down his bowl and utensils and dashed out again. But imdiately, a copper fist ca rushing at him. Lin Fei leaned back, the fist grazing past his face. Straightening up, he was attacked towards the abdon by one copper man, while another aid for his ribs. Lin Fei quickly pulled in his abdon and bent his body, oddly resembling a shrimp.
It wasn’t over yet, as copper n from all directions gathered around, attacking Lin Fei from all sides.
Lin Fei broke into a sweat, realizing at this rate, he’d soon be defeated. However, he managed to last significantly longer than before.
Three days then ten days passed, and Lin Fei could hold out for over ten minutes within the alley of copper n.
Ten days later, Lin Fei had advanced a hundred ters into the copper alley. By now, he realized the alley’s true purpose—to train agility. At least Lin Fei felt that without the strength of Ancient Martial arts, it was impossible to withstand the copper n’s attacks. Only by being agile, quick to respond, and having his body move to match could he see these copper figures as cumberso.
After days of honing his skills, Lin Fei moved like a nimble monkey. Just before a copper man could attack him, he was already dodging and observing other copper n’s attack routes...
