Chapter 1159: Chapter 1161: A Gentleman’s Invitation
Looking at the information on the note, Radar headed into the library. Inside the library, there was a door, tightly shut, seemingly locked. Radar looked at the key in his hand, then opened the door, and amidst the surprise of many, walked inside.
The door closed.
Radar looked at the scene before him; above the open space was a layer of glass, and in front of him was an abundance of green vegetation and various flowers, plants, and trees, as if he had stepped into a pristine forest. However, beside the door stood two n in suits who, upon seeing Radar, led him into the depths of the jungle.
Through a winding path, they arrived at the most important place, above a pond was a small pavilion where a boy was seated. The boy had clear eyebrows and fair eyes, dressed in a suit, sitting upright at the table. Upon seeing Radar, he gestured for Radar to co closer.
"Did you call
here? Where is Mayleen?" Radar asked as he approached the boy.
The boy snapped his fingers, and suddenly from the dense forest, Mayleen was brought over. Radar imdiately went up and asked with concern, "Mayleen, are you okay?"
Mayleen nodded, saying, "I’m fine."
"Mr. Radar, please sit down," the boy said.
Glancing at the boy, Radar went to the table and sat down, noticing the tea snacks on the table, which turned out to be items from Mo Country.
The boy smiled at Radar, "I like red tea. Mr. Radar, what do you prefer to drink?"
"Anything," Radar replied, then asked, "I wonder who you are? Why did you ask
to co here? What is your purpose?"
The boy smiled and said, "Mr. Radar, you asked
so many questions at once, which should I answer? But I can tell you I an no harm to you, I hope Mr. Radar won’t misunderstand ."
"Then what exactly is your purpose?" Radar asked.
The boy reached out, placed the tea brought by his subordinate in front of Radar, and said, "Mr. Radar, why not first taste this cup of tea, and see how it compares to the tea from Mo Country?"
Radar couldn’t fathom what the boy intended. He looked at the green tea in front of him; the tea color was elegant, the aroma was pure, a rare good tea. He took a sip, savored it carefully, and said, "The tea is good but lacks the essence of tea."
"Oh?" The boy expressed rare astonishnt, saying, "How do you an? Please enlighten , Mr. Radar."
"This tea and water are certainly top-grade, but it fails to evoke the freshness of nature. This must be tea leaves you cultivated yourself; it lacks the natural aura of growing amidst the mountains and waters in Mo Country," Radar said, setting down the teacup.
The boy nodded, clapped his hands twice, and said, "Mr. Radar is indeed knowledgeable; I am truly impressed. Mo Country has an ancient history long-lived; I am quite enamored with Mo Country too. It was once through a chance encounter that I ca across tea and fell in love with many things from Mo Country. Sadly, the essence is best, but Mo Country is not mine for now."
Radar frowned and said, "You can transplant tea, but it won’t be that taste anymore. If Mo Country belongs to you, then it’s not Mo Country."
"Haha, Mr. Radar is correct, but so things can still be changed, like how you left the Judgent rcenary Group, separated from brothers who shared many years, and finally retired to seclusion, living a peaceful life. Isn’t that a change? Not necessarily bad, right?" the boy said.
"It’s a pity you aren’t a Mo Country person," Radar said. From start to finish, the boy communicated using the Mo Country language. If not for his deep blue eyes, Radar might have believed the boy was a child from Mo Country.
"I’m sorry about that too, but it doesn’t matter; from now on, I am Mo Country, and Mo Country is ," the boy laughed.
"Bullshit!"
Radar slamd his palm on the table, causing the tea and snacks to leap and splash everywhere. The surrounding bodyguards imdiately pointed guns at Radar.
"Little brat, saying Mo Country is yours, who do you think you are? You think a grand nation would beco yours? I don’t care about your arrogance, but hope you refrain from talking nonsense in front of !" Radar said angrily.
The boy waved his finger at the surrounding bodyguards, who imdiately lowered their guns. The boy looked at Radar and said, "Has Mr. Radar forgotten where we are? This is the Western Country, and one must maintain gentlemanly poise here. I hope Mr. Radar sits down, so we can talk slowly."
"No more nonsense; I don’t care to talk too much with you. Get to the point or let
leave!" Radar demanded.
The boy chuckled, lifted his cup, took a sip, and said, "Mr. Radar is joking. Sir, you ca here by yourself, no one forced you. It was entirely voluntary, when did I invite you over?"
"If you hadn’t threatened with my loved one, do you think I’d co to you?" Radar replied coldly.
The boy smiled, noncommittal, and said, "Since sir doesn’t want to chat, let’s talk business. Initially, I wanted to converse, get acquainted, but sir seems impatient."
"I don’t like beating around the bush; I prefer straightforwardness!" Radar said.
"Alright, does Mr. Radar know who I am?" the boy asked.
"Does it matter who you are to ?" Radar questioned.
The boy stated, "Of course, if sir doesn’t know my identity, naturally you won’t want to collaborate with ."
Radar looked with disdain at the boy and laughed, "Collaborate? I wouldn’t want to work with an arrogant little brat."
"That’s because sir doesn’t know my identity, otherwise you wouldn’t say this," the boy said.
Radar looked at the boy in confusion; the boy possessed wisdom and maturity far exceeding common people. From the first glance, Radar could see it, but he really didn’t know the boy’s identity.
"Then tell
your identity; I’m quite curious," Radar said, though he was more curious about the person behind the boy. After all, if even the boy was so formidable, wouldn’t his elder be even more powerful!
The boy slowly stood up, then left his seat, standing opposite Radar. He extended his hand and said, "Lance, head of Gentleman rcenary Group, sincerely invites Mr. Radar to join us as the Head of Intelligence!"
"You claim to be the head of Gentleman rcenary Group? Just a little kid like you? Don’t joke with ," Radar said, though his heart was shocked beyond belief.
