Chapter 1106: Chapter 1108: Conspiracy (Part 1)

Lin Fei’s voice suddenly turned icy cold as he spoke, "You were the one who joked with

first. I only have one demand: if you lose, leave imdiately. If I lose, I will definitely not oppose you again. However, if you think you can make

yield, that’s obviously impossible, so don’t waste any more thought on it."

"In that case, fine, let’s do as you said. Tomorrow at twelve, let’s et as planned." Hakens said and hung up the phone directly.

After Lin Fei hung up, the brothers around him gathered, asking Lin Fei what was going on.

After explaining everything to his brothers, Lin Fei asked Xue Zhi, "Xue Zhi, what do you think of this? Should we go or not?"

Xue Zhi pondered for a mont and spoke, "Boss, I think Hakens’ approach is quite good. After all, although there is a big gap between our two teams, our speed is not sothing they can catch up with. A war of attrition and guerrilla warfare might be beneficial for us in the short term, but it will beco increasingly exhausting and won’t be advantageous for us over ti."

"Do you an we should participate?"

Xue Zhi nodded, saying, "If the opponent doesn’t have any ulterior motives, we can agree. If we win, the war can end sooner. If we lose, we can withdraw. What do you think, boss?"

Lin Fei weighed the pros and cons and eventually agreed with Xue Zhi. So, he decided to go to the Iron Country’s Clarni military headquarters tomorrow at twelve to have a showdown with Hakens, fully intending not to lose.

anwhile, Hakens also couldn’t afford to lose. His sharp voice echoed in the eting room, where Henrickson and John Sonny were debating incessantly.

"Hakens, you absolutely cannot withdraw from here. Even if you’re willing to leave, the higher-ups won’t allow it," John Sonny said.

"Commander, I think your decision is wise. After all, this isn’t a place to waste ti," Henrickson said.

Both had their thoughts, but Hakens didn’t disclose his knowledge. John Sonny was concerned about his future prospects, fearing that if Hakensani stopped supporting him, he would face national punishnt, having to helplessly face the outco.

As for Henrickson, all he thought about was how to return, believing that a scolding back ho was better than wasting ti here in this godforsaken place.

However, Hakens had already decided he must abide by this matter without resorting to any underhanded tricks, relying solely on strength.

Soon, it was twelve the next day. Lin Fei led his brothers to a nearby location. He wasn’t reckless enough to take everyone to the "Hongn Banquet."

So, he left so n on the periphery with Xiaohu for support, while he took the others to the military headquarters.

Upon arrival, Hakens was waiting for Lin Fei. He smiled and said, "I never expected the head of the Self-Defense Army to be so unpunctual."

Lin Fei chuckled, "I’m not late; you’ve just arrived early." He moved to a spot across from Hakens and asked, "Alright, how are we going to play this?"

Hakens said, "It’s simple. We’ll play a very simple ga, chess."

"Chess?" Lin Fei was taken aback, thinking he might have heard wrong.

"That’s right, chess. Do you know how to play? If you do, great, if not, here are the rules. Best of three, if you can beat

in two gas, I’ll withdraw. If you can’t, don’t show up on the battlefield again."

"Alright! It’s fortunate I know how to play," Lin Fei said casually.

Joking aside, being from Mo Country, how could he not know chess? It’s sothing left by his ancestors, and in Lin Fei’s eyes, there’s no way he would lose at chess!

Hakens laughed, "Since you can play, even better. Co on, do you want red or black?"

Lin Fei said, "I like black; the world is all white, only I am black, which suits

perfectly."

Hakens picked up the chess pieces and placed them on the board, saying, "I didn’t expect you to know Mo Country’s poetry; are you from Mo Country?"

Hearing Hakens’ question, Lin Fei was startled but shook his head. After setting up the pieces, he asked, "Who goes first—us?"

"Rock-paper-scissors."

The two engaged in a child’s ga on the battlefield; Lin Fei soon won.

After Lin Fei won, he moved his cannon two steps to the side, and their chess battle comnced on the board.

Xue Zhi looked around and noticed everything was unmoving, including the soldiers. This made Xue Zhi suspicious, wondering what the other side was up to.

As the two were engrossed in their ga, Xue Zhi soon noticed sothing unusual. The soldiers around seed to be increasing and closing in.

Not only that,

The soldiers Lin Fei left outside with Xiaohu were also surrounded by the military, soon being disard and seemingly captured.

anwhile, layers of military encircled Lin Fei, enclosing him and his brothers while pointing their guns inward. Yet Lin Fei and Hakens seed oblivious, engrossed in their chess ga.

Finally, Butcher couldn’t help but speak, "Boss, this kid is scheming against us!"

However, Radar and Xue Zhi both held Butcher back, shaking their heads. Butcher gritted his teeth, unsure of what to do as the soldiers closed in.

Winfier smiled at Butcher and said, "Didn’t think you’d have your day. You’ll see how tough I am soon!" She returned to Hakens’ camp, and no one dared stop her.

"Haha, sorry, I’ve won." Lin Fei laughed heartily, disregarding the guns behind him. He turned to Hakens, "Do you think we still need to continue?"

Hakens had a resigned look, "I don’t want to lose, so let’s continue."

Since Hakens didn’t want to stop, Lin Fei glanced at the surrounding guns, smiled, and said, "Then I’ll accompany you to the end. I hope if you lose, you won’t go back on your word."
