11: Chapter 11 Pretending to be an Executive

Lin Fei was thrown out of Minister Ling’s office, and it’s only because he ran fast.

Had he been slower, Ling Weiwei might have pounced on him for a physical confrontation.

Ling Weiwei possessed a pair of curves that did not pale in comparison to Shen Peini, whom Lin Fei had bumped into at the elevator doors.

As a woman, this was undoubtedly a point of pride for Ling Weiwei.

When that pride beca the subject of Lin Fei’s mockery, the woman’s long-suppressed rage finally erupted.

Lin Fei was not the kind of man who lost his head around beautiful won, but this ti, his mockery toward Ling Weiwei was intentional.

The dream of being the “Supre Emperor” style General Affairs Assistant turned into a jack-of-all-trades security guard, and Lin Fei absolutely did not believe that Ling Weiwei played no part in this.

In fact, just as Lin Fei had guessed, after he left the office, Ling Weiwei picked up the phone and reported to Mu Shanshan.

“Boss Mu, that bastard Lin Fei has agreed to stay.

However, I strongly advise that no matter which shareholder’s relative he is, we can’t let him remain in the company.

Keeping such scum here, I fear he’ll throw our General Affairs Departnt into chaos.

For the departnt’s future, I strongly suggest kicking Lin Fei out imdiately.”

Just how much Lin Fei had offended Ling Weiwei on their first eting was evident in her imdiate desire to fire him.

“This guy has a special status, and he must stay in the company for a short period.

You can manage other matters as you see fit, except for firing him,” replied Mu Shanshan.

She was already quite satisfied that Lin Fei could co to terms with being a General Affairs Assistant cum security guard.

Forcing him out did not align with Mu Shanshan’s interests.

Ling Weiwei hung up the phone reluctantly, but she beca even more curious about Lin Fei’s background.

Mu Shanshan was known for her ticulous nature at work, and Mu Group’s strict employnt policies were well-known.

Yet, she’d made an exception for Lin Fei and even dismissed her own minister’s opinion, sparking Ling Weiwei’s curiosity even more.

A day before, when she received a call from Mu Shanshan to arrange a General Affairs Assistant for the departnt, Ling Weiwei had started guessing Lin Fei’s connections.

After truly encountering Lin Fei’s audacity, Ling Weiwei realized that he was definitely a relation hire.

Soone who could use backdoor connections through Mu Shanshan to enter Mu Group obviously had entangled interests with the group.

After half a day’s thought, however, Ling Weiwei couldn’t co up with any major shareholder surnad Lin.

No matter how clever Ling Weiwei was, she wouldn’t have guessed that Lin Fei was the husband of Mu Shanshan, the business goddess of Zhonghai City.

The gap between them was too wide; it was like heaven and earth.

No one would associate the two as husband and wife.

If Ling Weiwei knew about the marital relationship between Lin Fei and Mu Shanshan, she would probably collapse.

Suggesting to her own CEO to fire her husband was no minor accusation.

Unable to figure it out, Ling Weiwei decided to let it go, but she wasn’t about to let Lin Fei off easily.

“Xiaoyu, co in for a second.”

While Ling Weiwei and her secretary were discussing how to handle Lin Fei, the “relation hire,” Lin Fei had already begun trying to integrate into the “Won Country” of the General Affairs Departnt.

“Ladies, please put aside your work for a mont and welco your new boss with your warst applause,” Lin Fei straightened his cheap casual outfit, noticing all the female staff of the General Affairs Departnt focusing on him, he cleared his throat and said, “Starting today, I will assu the role of Deputy Minister of the General Affairs Departnt and officially beco one of your team.”

The female staff mbers of the General Affairs Departnt stared at one another, exchanging looks.

After several coughs from Lin Fei, they finally responded with sparse applause.

The won of the General Affairs Departnt were no fools; on the contrary, their positions in Mu Group proved their intelligence without a doubt.

Lin Fei’s age and appearance made it difficult for them to believe he was fit for the role of Deputy Minister.

However, he had previously been led over by Shen Xuan, Mu Shanshan’s secretary, and indeed entered Ling Weiwei’s office.

Many female staffers in the General Affairs Departnt applauded Lin Fei with the ntality that it was better to believe than to doubt.

The harsh reality of the workplace ant that many lower-level employees feared their superiors more than respected them.

If Lin Fei really were the deputy minister sent from above, failing to applaud now and getting on Lin Fei’s radar could lead to future troubles, like being singled out for petty retribution – that would be a loss far outweighing any gain.

So, under Lin Fei’s gaze, the female staff of the General Affairs Departnt began to clap and welco Lin Fei as their new colleague.

Those with lively personalities even took the initiative to greet Lin Fei, all hoping to make a favorable impression on him as their “new boss.”

Perhaps it was because both Mu Shanshan and Ling Weiwei were great beauties that the female staff of the General Affairs Departnt were also quite attractive.

Anyone who ca up to greet Lin Fei wouldn’t just stop at hellos if they could shake hands; they’d go for hugs rather than just handshakes.

Shen Peini, who was among the first to et him, originally intended only to shake Lin Fei’s hand.

Shen Peini gave Lin Fei an amused and exasperated glance, her coquettish eyes almost making Lin Fei unable to resist pulling her into his embrace once again.

Fortunately, at that mont, another young and pretty girl approached, “Hello, Minister!

I am Xiao Yina.

I hope to receive your guidance in the future.”

Her jet-black straight hair, smooth forehead, refreshing visage, lively almond-shaped eyes, and a simple white jumpsuit highlighted her graceful figure, sparking much imagination.

Just as Lin Fei was pondering whether he should continue to engage with his female colleagues, the door to Ling Weiwei’s office opened.

Lin Fei silently cursed his luck and wriggled through the crowd of female staff, preparing to beat a hasty retreat.

“Where are you going, Minister?

I believe Minister Ling has sothing to say,” Shen Peini, with her sharp eyes, noticed Lin Fei’s evasive behavior and promptly grabbed him as he attempted to escape.

Lin Fei cursed his bad fortune under his breath.

anwhile, Ling Weiwei had also sensed sothing was amiss and approached Lin Fei with a stern visage.

“Lin Fei, instead of unclogging toilets, what the hell are you doing here?”

As soon as Ling Weiwei’s words ca out, the female staff of the General Affairs Departnt were instantly petrified.

“Bastard!”

Xiao Yina was the first to snap out of it, lunging at Lin Fei with bared teeth and claws, her beautiful eyes filled with murderous intent.

Everyone watched Lin Fei with unwelcoming expressions.

If it weren’t for Xiao Yina charging at Lin Fei, the rest probably would have joined in a mob beating by now.

“That was my first kiss today!

Given how young and handso I am, it’s not like you’re at a loss,” Lin Fei quipped.

“Today?!” Xiao Yina was so angry she could hardly breathe, and a few of the female staff with a lower threshold for humor couldn’t help but laugh.

Seizing the mont when Lin Fei and Xiao Yina were squabbling, Ling Weiwei, now clued in on what had transpired, snapped coldly, “Lin Fei, if you dare to fool around again, I guarantee you’ll end up in a terrible state!”

“I can’t imagine what’s worse than unclogging toilets,” Lin Fei retorted as he held onto Xiao Yina, breaking free from the encirclent of female staff, “Minister Ling, I just rembered I still have so unfinished business, so I’ll take my leave now.”

With that, Lin Fei pushed Xiao Yina towards the other won and fled the General Affairs Departnt in an instant.
