Chapter 1077: Chapter 1079: Leng Feng

Entering Trackless City, there was no bustling scene inside. The streets around were quite empty, with only a person visible far away. However, as you walked near each building, you could hear the noise inside.

Lin Fei, wearing a thick down jacket, walked deeper into Trackless City, surrounded by nurous eyes watching him from the windows. But Lin Fei was dressed warmly, revealing only his eyes, making it impossible for others to determine his identity.

At the center of Trackless City, stood a palace-like structure. Lin Fei walked inside and imdiately felt warm as the air conditioning was on. In the center of the hall, there was a huge screen displaying dense information of various types, ranging from transactions to tasks, and intelligence exchanges, all different and varied.

After Lin Fei arrived, a staff mber in a suit ca forward and asked, "Sir, do you need any assistance?"

"I’m here to find Leng Feng."

"Sorry sir, there’s no such person here." The staff mber imdiately replied.

Lin Fei was already expecting this result. He took out a black tal card from his pocket, engraved with only a knife.

"Please follow , sir." The staff took the card and led Lin Fei toward the elevator, finally pressing the button for the eighth floor.

The eighth floor arrived.

The staff led Lin Fei into room number eight. Lin Fei looked around the familiar place, sighing inwardly.

"Sir, you wait here first. If there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave."

Lin Fei nodded; the person was just a staff mber who knew nothing else. There was no need to ask further, as these were the ground rules Lin Fei knew better than anyone.

Soon, a person ca out of the inner room, with an expression as cold as ice, exuding a very ruthless aura. His chiseled face and eagle-like sharp eyes gazed at Lin Fei.

"I didn’t expect you’d co looking for . Truly rare," he said, his voice devoid of any emotion, extrely bland.

Lin Fei was long accustod to Leng Feng’s deanor. Since their first eting, Leng Feng had always been like this. In fact, if conversing with strangers, Leng Feng rarely said more than a few words.

Of course, Lin Fei was an exception. They were comrades in arms, and also rivals. Their friendship was sothing others wouldn’t understand—simple yet strong.

"I’ve co to seek your help," Lin Fei said helplessly.

Lin Fei, who once was? His status was close to the world’s top three rcenary groups. The Hell’s Judgent rcenary Corps was at its peak, but ti is ruthless. A year has passed, and things have changed.

"If it wasn’t for Crin ka plotting against you, you might still be with the world’s fourth-largest rcenary group. Unfortunately, Crin ka wiped out Hell’s Judgent rcenary Corps’ high ranks, and of the remaining four Main Gods, three have chosen to retire from the Martial World, no longer rcenaries. Which ans you’re a lone commander now. You have two choices: start over, or find the mbers of Hell’s Judgent rcenary Corps, right?"

Leng Feng seed to know many things about Lin Fei. In his eyes, it felt as if he saw through every conspiracy, making one want to exclaim in awe. But Lin Fei knew this was because rcenaries in Trackless City exchanged nurous ssages daily, and since information is tradeable, Leng Feng could access many free pieces of news as he was among the city’s higher-ups.

Trackless City, a place without any rules, yet rules etched into everyone’s mind. Here, there are no borders, anyone from any country is only acknowledged as rcenaries.

If the world’s top three rcenary groups have owners, the only place without an owner is Trackless City.

"Since you knew, will you help ?" Lin Fei asked.

Leng Feng, like him, was from Mo Country. They were once rivals and later comrades. After Lin Fei established Hell’s Judgent, Leng Feng chose to stay in Trackless City. Now, he has risen to the city’s managent ranks, whereas Lin Fei, who progressed further, got betrayed by his own people.

"What’s the benefit of helping you? I don’t do things without benefits," Leng Feng said.

Lin Fei stood up and said, "In that case, farewell, old friend."

Leng Feng watched Lin Fei’s departing back, imdiately calling out, "I think you should visit Clarni. There’s perpetual war there, and you know Iron Country’s situation. To seize Iron Country’s power, Crin ka needs achievents, ones the nationals would rally behind."

"Thank you."

Having heard, Lin Fei left for the outside.

With the information gathered, Lin Fei decided to venture to Clarni, hoping to find his brothers in that war-torn land.

Leaving Trackless City, Lin Fei looked at the massive city behind him, knowing he would return, just not now.

Suddenly, Lin Fei’s phone rang. He imdiately answered, hearing the voice of a top Commander.

"Hello, Lin? We heard about your situation, sorry for your loss." Elder Sun said.

Lin Fei replied with a stern face, "It’s not even a big deal, yet you’re telling

to mourn? You old geezers sure have nothing better to do after being full?"

"Watch your tone, boy! Such disrespect, what manners!" Elder Sun exclaid in anger.

"Elder Sun, what’s the purpose of your call? Since you’ve seen, I really have no way out. Give

so advice," Lin Fei said.

At that mont, Elder Sun chuckled, "Because we’re aware of your situation, we’re sending two top Generals to you. You are in Trackless City, right? That godforsaken place, though barren, its intelligence is formidable, countries co to buy intelligence, what information did you get?"

Lin Fei raised a middle finger and said, "Since you can see everything about , surely you know what intelligence I’ve obtained?"

Then Elder Wu spoke, "You are mistaken, Lin. Trackless City has a unique information defense system. It not only prevents satellite surveillance but also signal leakage. We can’t see what you’re doing inside."

"Oh! It’s so great here, then I’ll just stay here forever and prevent you old folks from peeping at ," Lin Fei said.

Being watched like a criminal every day, would make anyone uncomfortable. If it was in the past when he didn’t know, it wouldn’t matter. Now that Lin Fei knows, his heart inevitably feels distressed.
