106: Chapter 106: You do your dance

The apartnt Lin Fei rented, though sowhat old, wasn’t yet in a state of disrepair.

This fact could be seen by the absence of “demolish” graffiti on its walls.

One could appreciate the intensity of the apartnt above Lin Fei’s ceiling; the jumping was vigorous enough to shake loose the dust.

Lin Fei wasn’t the type to nitpick about the quality of life, a trait evident by his willingness to live in a rented room for half a year despite having a wealthy wife like Mu Shanshan.

During his ti abroad as a rcenary, Lin Fei had peacefully slept in deserts and jungles.

He had even fallen asleep on the battlefield.

Now back in the city, even though there was so noise from upstairs, it wasn’t enough to keep Lin Fei awake.

However, Lin Fei wasn’t planning to just let the ceaselessly jumping neighbor upstairs off the hook.

Though Lin Fei could sleep in such conditions, it didn’t an he had to endure the agitation.

He had already moved out of the rental room and only ca back to stay the night on rare occasions.

But there was still ng Xue’er in this rental apartnt.

Even if Lin Fei didn’t consider himself, he had to think of ng Xue’er.

ng Xue’er was pure and gentle, frail and delicate.

With her girlish timidity, even if the jumping of the upstairs neighbor disturbed her rest, she would most likely not confront them, opting instead to endure in silence, which was the most probable choice for her.

For his own good night’s sleep, and more so for ng Xue’er to have a quiet sleeping environnt in the future, Lin Fei got dressed, left the rental, and went upstairs.

Lin Fei repeatedly pressed the doorbell for a dozen tis, but no one ca to open the door.

Already feeling annoyed as he was intent on reprimanding, Lin Fei’s irritation only grew.

Had it not been for the consideration that the residents inside were neighbors and that ng Xue’er still had to live here, Lin Fei would have kicked the door in already, instead of foolishly waiting outside.

After waiting a little over a minute and confirming that the hoowner wouldn’t open the door anyti soon, Lin Fei turned away and went back to his bedroom.

Lin Fei wasn’t going to give up that easily; he just didn’t want to break in and have to pay for door repairs afterward.

From the balcony outside his bedroom, Lin Fei climbed swiftly to the balcony above like an agile monkey.

One minute passed, then ten minutes, then half an hour…

Lin Fei didn’t intentionally hide himself, and in half an hour’s ti, the young woman who was the female hoowner surely must have noticed the unwelco guest.

Yet, she didn’t utter a word from start to finish, not even sparing Lin Fei a proper look—as if treating him as thin air.

Lin Fei had so confidence in his appearance.

Although he didn’t think he was as handso as Pan An, to the point of being outrageously attractive, he believed his overall deanor was not bad, sowhat handso even.

This could be seen whenever Lin Fei narcissistically admired his own dashing appearance in front of Mu Shanshan, and she hadn’t completely denied it.

Click, click, click.

“What are you doing?!”

Heavens above, earth below, she finally stopped jumping and saw .

While being scolded by Ning Qi, Lin Fei didn’t feel upset.

Instead, he felt an urge to burst into tears of relief.

Ning Qi was stunned, seeing Lin Fei standing there nonchalantly as if discussing sothing perfectly ordinary between old acquaintances, and for a mont, she didn’t know what to say.

But relying on her sound psychological quality and professional poise, Ning Qi didn’t panic or scream; instead, she calmly composed herself and continued her dance.
