But this Wang Hai stood out from the rest.

Xi Yue’s expression remained calm as she pulled out a pair of gloves woven from intertwined gold and silver threads. She dabbed so dicinal powder onto them, then slowly stepped forward.

Wang Hai was holding a broadsword, but when he saw that Xi Yue wasn’t ard, he set his weapon aside. “You’re younger than . I won’t take advantage of you with a weapon.”

But before he finished speaking, Xi Yue’s figure had already disappeared.

Wang Hai was taken aback for a mont, then smirked in contempt. Trying to sneak up on him like that? How naive.

Sure enough, Xi Yue appeared right before him in a flash, her gloved hand suddenly shooting toward his chest.

Just as Wang Hai was about to strike back, a whiff of dicinal fragrance suddenly lingered at the tip of his nose.

The scent felt almost alive as it seeped into his body. To his surprise, the constant ache in his chest eased a little, leaving behind a strange sense of comfort.

Wang Hai froze. Xi Yue’s palm landed squarely on his chest in that brief mont of hesitation.

The strike felt light and carried a faint dicinal scent. It seed completely harmless, but Wang Hai’s face turned pale, and he suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood.

The onlookers were stunned, frozen in shock. i Shuhai let out a sharp cry, “That’s impossible!”

Wang Hai was a cultivator at the Void Darkness Stage, and it had taken years after graduating from the Inner Sect’s Martial Arts Departnt for him to be slowly selected and promoted to the rank of an enforcer.

How could he be injured by Xi Yue when she was just Nascent Soul Stage?

Xi Yue’s speed kept increasing, her palm strikes hitting Wang Hai’s major acupoints one after another. Every third strike made him spit out blood again.

After delivering the thirty-sixth strike, Xi Yue suddenly pushed him away. Wang Hai instantly collapsed to the ground, clutching his chest and gasping for breath.

“Hall master!”

“Are you okay, Deputy Hall Master?”

The remaining enforcers ran over worriedly and glared at Xi Yue. While trying to help Wang Hai up, so of them even wanted to attack Xi Yue.

Xi Yue’s face was a little pale by now as well. She took off her gloves, wiped the sweat from her forehead, and said calmly, “If you don’t want him to die, don’t touch him right now. As long as he ditates and regulates his breathing for three hours, he’ll make a full recovery.”

The enforcers exchanged glances, then looked over at Wang Hai in confusion.

Wang Hai waved a hand at them to show he was alright, but he was too weak to speak. All he could manage was a faint whisper to Xi Yue, “Thank you.”

He said nothing more after that and simply sat down cross-legged on the spot, beginning to circulate his spiritual energy.

The atmosphere at the scene felt strangely tense.

i Shuhai shouted furiously, “Xi Yue, you resisted arrest and injured Hall Master Wang. You’re done for this ti! What are you all waiting for? Arrest her!”

But this ti, none of the enforcers moved.

Looking at Xi Yue and then at Master Wang Hall, everyone stood quietly around Master Wang Hall.

They finally understood that Dr. Xi hadn’t been sparring with Wang Hai just now. She had been treating him. Years ago, Wang Hai suffered a serious injury during a mission, and his cultivation had since remained stagnant, with persistent pain in his chest. Perhaps this ti, he could truly be healed.

i Shuhai was trembling with rage. He hadn’t expected the Enforcent Hall mbers to suddenly switch sides and stop trying to arrest Xi Yue.

What shocked him the most was that Xi Yue’s dical skill had reached such an unbelievable level. He had examined Wang Hai’s internal injuries himself and found them completely untreatable. Yet Xi Yue had only glanced at him, given no diagnosis, casually struck him a few tis, and actually managed to cure him.
