Monts ago, Wu Jinshui had been clowning around without a care. But as soon as he spotted them, his expression shifted instantly. With an ingratiating grin, he hurried forward to greet the trio. “What an honor to see you here, Mr. Jun, Mr. Yun, Mr. Bai!”
“It’s so boring around here. That instructor is gone too. Who knows when the next instructor will show up for us to toy with?”
A young man in a dark red robe walked in, sporting a smirk. Without a care, he kicked aside the tables and chairs in his way and took a seat.
“Please have so tea, Mr. Jun. This is the tea my father just sent. It may not compare to the fine teas you’re used to, but it’s still fresh and flavorful.”
Jun Hongbo took the tea without even glancing at it and handed it directly to the white-robed young man behind him.
The young man in white had a refined, graceful deanor, his gentle smile radiating warmth. Taking the tea, he sipped it leisurely before saying with a smile, “This is truly excellent tea.”
“It’s an honor to have Mr. Yun enjoy it,” said Wu Jinshui. He bead at the white-robed young man’s praise. His small eyes squinted so much with delight that they were almost invisible.
With that, he quickly produced another cup and offered it to the young man beside Jun Hongbo—a fiery-haired youth with a defiant and arrogant deanor. “Please have so tea, Mr. Bai. Enjoy,” he said eagerly.
“Get out of my way!” the red-haired youth snapped impatiently, kicking Wu Jinshui aside without a second thought.
Wu Jinshui stumbled from the kick, nearly falling flat on his face. Yet, he still wore a sycophantic smile, not daring to show the slightest hint of displeasure.
Within the entire outer sect of the Heavenly dical Valley, Class Three of the Water dicine Departnt held a uniquely special status.
Though they belonged to the Water dicine Departnt, not all of them were pursuing dicine. They were placed here simply because this departnt was the most esteed branch within the Heavenly dical Valley.
In Water dicine Departnt Class Three, nearly every student ca from an influential and formidable background, making them untouchable among the rest of the outer sect.
Yet, the mbers of Class Three in the Water dicine Departnt were also abandoned and forgotten. Cast aside by their families, they had lost the right to compete—so through betrayal, so through sches, and others simply due to their lack of talent. Stripped of hope, they seed destined to lead unremarkable lives.
Out of pity for their uncertain futures or perhaps as a form of compensation, their families arranged for them to study at the Heavenly dical Valley.
Among these discarded heirs of powerful families, a small clique had ford, led by Jun Hongbo of the Jun Family, Yun Wenjing of the Yun Family, and Bai Ruohuan of the Bai Family. Together, they ran rampant within the outer sect of the Heavenly dical Valley, doing as they pleased. Though their actions stirred resentnt, no one dared to voice their anger.
Of course, not everyone in Class Three of the Water dicine Departnt ca from prominent families.
There were also students whose poor aptitude left them rejected by other instructors. Without any backing or support, they were ultimately cast out to Class Three of the Water dicine Departnt.
The fate of these students was often grim. Many survived by ingratiating themselves with the influential heirs, clinging to whatever scraps of favor they could find. So, unable to endure the bullying, left in tears, dropping out altogether. Others resigned themselves to a life of humility, hoping to scrape by and endure their ti in Class Three of the Water dicine Departnt.
For example, Wu Jinshui.
His family was rely involved in comrce, with the strongest cultivator among them barely reaching the Nascent Soul Stage.
In a world where strength reigned supre, a re rchant family held little value. Without the wealth of a spirit mine to their na, they survived solely by trading goods and running shops, earning profits from slim margins. Such a family was hardly worth the notice of powerful cultivators.
Wu Jinshui was sent here by his father only because of his decent talent in dicine. However, what might be considered “decent” elsewhere was far less impressive within the Heavenly dical Valley.
Bai Ruohuan slumped into his seat, frustration evident as he kicked the table. “That’s so boring. That old man nad Li was such a coward. He ran off after just one little prank. Now that he’s gone, who knows how long it’ll take before we get a new instructor to ss with?”
