Chapter 9 - Bla On Olivia

anwhile back after the wedding got postponed, not exactly canceled because Lucas was too egoistic to call it off.

After all the guests returned to their places with so gossip in between, Only Lucas, his people, and the Taylor family were left in the big mansion.

Lucas's eyes were all black. He was looking out of the large window without even baiting the family an eye.

At the sa ti, the Taylor family was scared to the core. They can feel the beads of sweat on their forehead and back just because of the deadly environnt around them.

The hall was dark with the only source of light was a wide window which had a glass on it. Alia wanted to open her mouth but she had no courage to utter even a single word against Lucas.

She nudged her husband to start a conversation otherwise they might be at a serious loss at this ti.

Clearing his throat he said, "Everything... That happened was unexpected, Mr. Smith. We had no idea that despite such tight security, our daughter would be kidnapped."

"Y...Yes! Otherwise, we won't have left her behind for sure! Just a few minutes before she was kidnapped, the maid asked her and Jennifer even smiled at the maid!" Alia tried to sound reasonable and ca to defend her daughter.

But behind this shield was another lie that she used and that was to save her family from this mafia's wrath.

Lucas, who listened to these people had his hand converted into a fist. A dry chuckle passes through his mouth after they finish their words.

"So, is your daughter so weak that anyone can sneak into her room and take her without her permission?"

Walking near them, he looked at David who was now shivering due to the thick intensity in Lucas's words. "Mr. Taylor, your daughter is brave and loud. She is too outspoken about her words. Just tell if she was so interested to marry , why were her suitcases and bags opened with her clothes and stuff inside it?"

"I..I.." worry began to consu his whole body. Lucas's eyes were sending a constant warning in his direction but he didn't know what to answer.

At the sa ti, Olivia entered the place with a straight face. "You were right, the man was too careful about each detail. It seems that he was aware of where the caras are installed and where he can be captured."

Lucas, whose eyes were fixed on the Taylor family scanning them from top to bottom with his dangerous and aloof look, shifted his attention to Olivia.

"Briefer."

"The kidnapper was very smart, Lucas. Not even a single cara captures his face. All we can see is his back and.. nothing else."

Despite such tight and perfect security that they have planned for this wedding to take place, soone sneaked inside. One of the most threatening things was, the bride was kidnapped just a few minutes before the wedding under their noses.

Sha was the second thing that ca along this even but the foremost thing was the hard slap on their faces. It was their uselessness to think that soone will not dare to enter and disturb them on such an important day.

Hearing Olivia's reply, Lucas just laughed. His sounds of laughter echoed in the whole hall. No, he didn't look like a human but more like a beast who has gone mad by her sudden piece of information.

"So you an to.. say that the kidnapper was so masterminded that we have no proof to recognize the person?" Lucas once again asked but this ti, with a smile that wasn't so welcoming.

Being his subordinate, Olivia was used to his all faces which he hid under the mask. Be it the worst or seeing the victory in his eyes, she stood by his side.

But for the very first ti, she felt his words don't match his voice. The entire span of his lifeti, he hasn't seen so distant and unreadable in her eyes.

"Yes… I an that..'' Olivia's shuttered voice indicated that she herself was quite scared of his demon face.

Lucas ran his hand through his hair and walked near the table that had a heavy vase for flowers. Without even thinking about what will happen, Lucas threw the vase on the large glass window, making it slash into pieces with the glass falling with a ticking sound.

Olivia and the Taylor family covered their ears by the sudden voice and looked at the ss that was created. Lucas was angry and she had no wish to anger him even more. His eyes were bloodshot that she has never seen since she was with him.

Not only Olivia but even Alia and David stepped back in fear. They couldn't rember if anyone has ever made them this scared and feel so much worry.

"Lucas, please.. calm down. We are trying our level best, soon I guess the kidnapper will be able to contact us and we will find out about Jennifer's location." Olivia tried to soothe the situation through her words when she noticed the uneven breathing of Lucas due to his anger.

Lucas looked at her through the corner of his shoulders. She got a shrill reply from him, "Olivia, do not show your face until you get to know who the person who kidnapped Jennifer is."

Olivia was stunned. Her eyes wide as saucers because she has never expected in her wildest dream that Lucas will order her sothing like this.

Walking towards him in her a hurried manner, she spoke, "Lucas you can't be serious! I'm your close friend and subordinate! Are you chasing out of your team? It wasn't my fault that she was kidnapped'"

"But what if it was you who kidnapped her?" The sudden realization that drew her over made her freeze.

"Y..you think that i.. have kidnapped her?"
