Chapter 57 - Secrets And Mysteries
Javier smiled at her question and replied back, "You don't know either. Who knows if I will run away or not? The security sent by my father is basically to make sure that I don't go away anywhere else and hide. Also, this all is simply to reach us safely at his house."
"You an to say that he wants our presence in your ho first, and now he is making sure that we don't run off to sowhere else?" Jennifer asked according to her own calculation and what she was able to grasp of the entire situation in front of her for now.
Javier just put on his sleepy smile and didn't answer anymore but the smile already had hidden anings. She could feel he has so much to hide in this place yet there are many bad mories to be associated with.
'Why will he even run from his own states? Moreover, he talked to his own father very rudely..… is their relationship sour?' She was clueless and getting more curious to see and witness the drama ahead of her.
Jennifer looked outside the window and ca into her view were the large buildings, similar to back in her Lucas's stare. Along with that, what she saw was a natural beauty. The Greenlands was a bit famous and she can already see them with her bare eyes.
When they were passing through a residential area, she was surprised to witness how the people have maintained a garden in front of their houses and regularly waters it as well. It was sothing new to her because she loves gardening herself but never had the chance to have her own garden full of flowers and trees.
These are so things that only nature lovers can understand…
After a few more minutes of driving, the car entered the campus of the large ground and in front was the mansion, the Johnson Mansion.
Deep from her heart, she wasn't surprised to see it because in past she saw Lucas's mansion as well. But what gained her interest was the utmost beauty. It was all decorated with flowers, mountains on the side, and water flowing. Sothing triggered her heart and she felt utmost happiness despite being in the most dreadful condition currently.
The four of them got out of their car and stood in front of the large mansion. When Jennifer was curious to ask more questions she heard the drop aloof voice of Javier.
"I will be walking inside. Ellen, Ryan, make sure that you safeguard Jennifer and in case soone is trying to approach her, you do know what to do very well." Javier had a stern expression on his face which was kind of new to her.
She has seen him acting aloof, angry, and whatnot but this wasn't what he shows. It looks like he lost all his sentints before stepping inside his own house which was not only surprising but she still let herself eat her own curiosity rather than ask him.
Javier received a nod from Ryan and Ellen when he averted her gaze on her. "Jennifer, don't create any ss. I will be back soon after having so talks inside."
"Alright. I will be waiting for you here… just co quickly." Because if you don't, I don't know what these beast bodyguards might turn into. Jennifer let the artificial smile linger on her lips and let the second half of the sentence gulp back into her throat
Javier walked inside with the sa deanor and the trio sighed when he just left them alone. Jennifer was understandable that sothing must have triggered him to recall his mories, but what happened to his other mates to lower their faces out of blue?!
"Hey, why do you look so worried? He is at his own ho now..." Jennifer asked with a questionable look.
Ryan didn't reply when Ellen said, "The ho… which he never longs for. In this state, there are plenty of secrets that are hidden and Javier's life was never an easy one."
For the very first ti, Jennifer took the account that Ellen didn't address Javier as sir. Instead, he called his na as if he is deeply absorbed in the emotions they both felt which were foreign to her.
She brought her hand around her shoulder and rubbed them softly to generate so warmness which she was lacking a lot. The temperature in this state wasn't entirely cold, but it wasn't too warm either.
Mild winters were fun to enjoy but sohow she doesn't have appropriate clothes for herself. 'I believe if things go as Javier planned I will discuss the matter of clothes with him too…'

At the sa ti, Javier spots inside his house to find his entire family in the family room.
It was already expected by him that he won't be able to escape what was coming for him. In front of him was his father, Shawn, and along with her was his second wife and Javier's stepmother, Shirley. He wasn't here to interact with her and simply moved his gaze to his elder brother, the one who is most supportive of him and with whom he has a strong bond.
"Brother…" Javier went straight away to his brother who stood up imdiately when he noticed Javier's presence inside. They both ca closer and hugged each other with a brotherly hug when his brother Charles, whispered, "You are in danger."
"As if it is new for .." was what Javier replied and both of them fell apart through each other's embrace.
"I'm glad that you were able to survive before the killers could have hard you." he tapped his shoulders in bravery and happiness and Javier too was feeling proud since his brother has praised him.
But all the praises and his mood took a thirty-degree turn when the shrill voice echoed in the whole mansion.
"Stop praising this man! He even has the audacity to threaten his own father and keep secrets from him now!"
