Chapter 474: Little life of Ex-lover!
“.... who is here to marry ..” Sierra completed the words without sparing a glance at him. She was staring outside the window like any other lost soul, whose happiness had faded away.
With the various steps, Jack had decided to step in her direction despite the ss on the floor.
Although Jack knew that lady was a bit hostile, he had no idea which force was pulling him towards her. It was invisible, hard to recognize.
However, coming by her side, Jack’s lips were sealed into a thin line. The sudden urge to talk to the lady was out of nowhere. “I-it’s nice to et you..”
“Hmm.”
Sierra was absolutely not interested and till now, Jack had got her hints. She hadn’t even spared any glance at him. Rather, Sierra was currently resting her face on her hands and observed out from her window.
Those hollow eyes of hers were sprinkling millions of things, and he had no idea how to even begin and strike the conversation with her. “Your mother said that you weren’t interested in coming down.”

“No.” Sierra’s brutal response, took Jack aback. “There is no need for to co downstairs and do the formality. In the end, this marriage will ultimately happen.”
“So are you not interested in marrying then?” Jack didn’t beat around the bush but from each answer, he could find that she was hostile.
Moreover, her actions were an indication that she was forced into this marriage.
In return for his question, a sigh had escaped from Sierra’s lips. Lowering her eyelids again, Sierra had stared at her the ground before she rotated herself to look in the man’s direction.
Lifting her eyes there, Sierra looked at the fine man, who appeared extrely handso. Yet, not appealing to her. “You really want to know more?”
“Yes.”
“Then hear out. I recently had a breakup with my boyfriend. Earlier, I was working sowhere. But due to unavoidable circumstances, I had to return back.” she honestly answered, and her voice already took over Jack’s heart.
He had no idea, but the few sentences of hers were enough to pull him into any other kind of heaven. Despite her appearance not being so appealing, since she was wearing her nightgown and her hair was too ssed around.
Yet his heart raced up and the thunder of happiness was spreading in his mind. However, at the sa ti, he can’t skip what she had told him. “You had a breakup?”
“Correct. So if you’re looking for anyone who is pure as beauty then I’m not. Also, if you are interested in this marriage then to tell you, never expect my heart. I will take care of your family, and you and do other chores. But...don’t expect to...”
“I’m taking you as my wife, not as a maid, Miss Sierra.” His stern and solid voice made Sierra regain her consciousness.
Till now, she had expected him to rage upon her since she had been so rude to him till now. His reply was totally unexpected in her eyes.
The arrival of this man’s sweet gestures and politeness was enough to make Sierra narrow her eyes. She was getting double-minded but in her heart, Sierra knew that trusting any stranger won’t be any good idea either.
“Y-You....Mr. Shen, will you accept any lady like who is already not pure and has a past? I’m not as sweet as you might think.” Sierra answered honestly to which Jack smiled at her, “You don’t have to worry about that Miss Sierra. You are ssed up because of your breakup. But I bet that this isn’t you either.”
“Will you ruin your entire life for a man who isn’t there in your life anymore?” the man asked with the evident gestures that he knew she will l overco this phase.
However, Sierra maintained the sa aloofness in her eyes. Doesn’t know why but her intuition told her that this man wasn’t only kidding with her but..trying to impress her. “I’m ready to let go of my life if it ans living without him.”
“Then why aren’t you dead till now?” Jack inquired with raised brows. “I wouldn’t have t you here if that was the case...”
“So things aren’t in our control, Mr. Shen. If they were, I would have not been here.” Saying this, Sierra walked past him, to walk to her drawer and from there, she picked out one of the wedding cards.
On it, there was the na of both of them. Taking the sa either hand, Sierra walked back to Jack and handed it over to him, who appeared to be surprised. “Well..what is this?”
“My family has already planned various events, from the reception to the wedding day. This is what our wedding card will look like.” Sierra told him with the evidently not interested tone first.
Having the sa view of the sa, Jack had no idea how to describe those feelings. He was kind of excited but seeing the gloomy face of the lady in front of him, drew his heart into sorrow.
Closing the card in his hand, he lifted his eyes to look at Sierra, “So, do you want to help you get back with your ex-boyfriend? if that’s the case...”
“We can’t be together.” Sierra honestly said, which made Jack confused and doubtful, “At one point, you are saying that living without our ex-boyfriend, you are ready to die, and when..you are saying that you aren’t willing to go to him?”
“Why is that so?”
“Because when you have the little life of your ex-lover growing inside your womb, you can’t choose to opt for suicide.”

Author’s thoughts- Life isn’t easy. Various things happen in our life. We are authors, but keeping that aside, we are humans too. The pain of not getting the loved one is hard to overco, and those who do, deserve an absolute salute!
