"Mr. Jack!? I wasn't expecting you here tonight" Mr. Greyson replied happily, with a heavy voice that he had kept.
His expression and the gestures gave a clear sight to witness that he obviously knew Jack from before.
Kirkness and uneasiness had started to cover upon Lucas, who was a lady dumbfounded. The wide eyes of his were evident and how his veins had pooped on his hands to see the presence of the unexpected guest. "H-How..."
"Did you call him here?" Jennifer was the first of all to ask, in a whisper, to not let the bla co over her head.
In return, Lucas imdiately shook his head, "Why the hell will I call soone like him here? This was supposed to be hidden from him.."
Where Lucas can't believe his eyes when he saw that Mr. Greyson had gotten up from his seat to give Jack a hug. What was even more frightening was to see the lady who had actually co behind him.
It was no one else but Olivia!
'Why is she here along with Jack?' it annoyed him to the next core where he was left speechless. In fact, he had no feelings to describe this mont since it was going as if any other dream will ultimately break, no matter what.
"I hadn't told you about my visit there..how co you knew, Jack?" Mr. Greyson asked with the bright smile that was plastered on his face.
"You co and I will not know? That isn't possible, Greyson! And especially...when you are eting my younger brother and.... his fiance.."
Jack's words pressed over the statent, which struck Mr. Greyson's mind sowhere as he realized the actual fact that Jack's words did make so sense to his brain right now...
"Wait...yeah..your last na..Martin Smith..and he is.. Smith..Wait! You both are brothers?!" Mr. Greyson's eyes widened when he turned around to stare at Lucas as the surprise was still very much hard for him to absorb, "You didn't tell? that Jack is your brother!"
"Because...we never talked about him.."
Lucas tried his best to surpass the fury that was rising in his chest.
It was harder than any other work since his eyes can't bear to actually see Jack here.
Moreover, Olivia stands like any other obedient assistant.
The view in front of him was very much unlikely to see but Lucas had to calm his nerves.
On the other hand, he had to think about how to not let his investor be snatched from his hands, since Jack has arrived...and surely with ill intentions.
The rest of the people sat here as well, but the one who had kept herself silent throughout was no one else but Olivia since she was too self-absorbed to see Lucas here, along with Jennifer.
For the very first ti, she was seeing Jennifer wearing such a revealing dress, making her heart go into a state of shock.
But nothing was there in her hand, so she let this matter pass... after all, she has no control over Lucas and his actions too.
Jack was served the drinks by one of the waiters, to which he smiled and looked again at Mr. Greyson to speak, "It is very unexpected.? I got the information that you arrived just a few hours ago?"
"You are absolutely correct.." Pointing at Lucas, Mr. Greyson continued,"I was actually here to et Mr. Smith. We had nice talks and since we were eting for the very first ti, I didn't plan to delay this eting.."
"Such a nice thought.." Lucas comnted when he realized that Mr. Greyson was surely giving him the weighting as well.
Unlike Jack, who was actually trying to show him his place...
After hearing Mr. Greyson's words, Jack still maintained the bright smile. There was no trace of unhappiness that reflected in his eyes either. "I'm happy as well..but may I know..why..a eting on such a short notice?"
"Well, w-"
"I don't understand, why is my elder brother so interested in our eting?" Lucas had cut Mr. Greyson in the middle, to opt for the solution to not reveal anything bit of the information.
His sour expressions were the evidence of the sa where Jennifer could realize that he was frustrated.
The aura dropped around him, which made her feel the chills down her spines., as well as the cold breeze, despite there being no source of the coldness tonight.
On the other hand, Jack's lips turned into a straight line. Bringing the glass near his lips, he muttered, "Since..I'm your brother, I should keep an eye over you..." With this, he gulped the drink from his glass, where his eyes had shifted to see Jennifer, feeling awkward to sit beside the man.
A smirk had pulled on her face, as his gaze never tore but his mouth did work, "I was thinking... are you here for a eting, Mr. Greyson?"
"What a brilliant guess!" Mr. Greyson can't help but exclaim, making the existing smile on his face even more widely.
There was no denying that he wasn't present here with any other good interests but he had kept himself locked like any other casket.
While Mr. Greyson could see that Jack was actually staring at his brother, it made him feel sothing weird at this point.
He rotated his head to look at the other side, where he saw that Mr. Lucas was also giving the sa aloof gaze to his brother, making him sit there in confusion.
But to break the deep silence that was created, it was Jack, who had actually given down his scores on the ground, "I was thinking, Mr. Greyson, why don't you s-"
"Mr. Greyson, I have the docunts present here. Should we seal the deal right here without wasting any other ti?"
