Chapter 361 - In Danger!
Both of them ca out of the mansion and Javier swiftly made Jennifer sit inside his car. Not only that, he took over the driver seat as soon as possible to leave the mansion with evident fury on his face.
There was no tinge of hope to see of him calming down and this made Jennifer seemingly worried for her husband.
She didn't utter even a single word to him but her heart was racing against her chest, "Javier..."
"Don't say anything, Jennifer. I'm already mad and pissed off." His harsh and rude tone made Jennifer's lips turn into a straight line.
"Was there any need for you to fight with your father? He was rely asking you about your location, that won't do any harm." Jennifer found this to be nothing but utterly unreasonable. He was heaving like a toddler which wasn't even needed.
As his eyes danced in her direction, he saw her clear plastered frown because of him. Sothing did strike him, "You take my father to be so sweet that he will care about his child about where is he going?"
"That man didn't care about when I disappeared from this place for weeks." he made a worsened expression in contrast, "Understand that your father n law...is a cunning man. He won't take any step without him being involved in sothing.:"
"But for today, can we not upset our mood because of whatever that happened?" Jennifer pleaded since she was last interested to actually let the mood be affected by whatever happened with them.
Shawn or Javier, she doesn't need to conclude who was right and who was wrong. In the end, that isn't in her care either. All she wished was to see a bright smile on his face and the sa level of enthusiasm inside his heart.
For the next few minutes, neither Javier nor Jennifer spoke anything. They both kept mum, in their own different world where Jennifer found it hard to even escape this cage.
On the other hand, Javier was trying to normalize his mind and calm the nerves that had earlier popped out due to the encounter with his father. It was needed so that he doesn't end up lashing at his dear wife.
Peeking at her grim face from the corner of his face, he found her facing the windows. 'Is she seriously mad at ?' He had no clue.
Knowingly, he seed to understand that she probably found him unreasonable, for acting like a bastard son in front of his father.
Yet back in his mind, he wasn't guilty since his intuitions told him that his father wasn't a re person. If he hasn't asked him till this age of his life about his whereabouts, why will he be interested now?
But ti was precious so he ended up coughing a bit, "Um...Alright. Let us forget whatever happened."
"Hmm. That will be better." Jennifer also agreed that she wasn't interested in keeping the feud in her mind. "So..where are you taking now?"
"I was supposed to take you to the registrar's office for the international marriage certificate but I see.." his gaze went out this wristwatch to note the ti, "..we still have hours before our appointnt. So, why waste ti? I will be taking you to one of the most beautiful seaports."
Seaport? Jennifer found it weird. Why would he try to take her to the seaport..which was very common? She has gone there once in her own state as well.
What was specific about this port to which he was taking her?
When Javier noted her getting confused by the words, he cleared her once again, "This isn't a normal seaport. I-"
His words were cut short when his eyes traveled towards the rear mirror to see two cars, of black color. A fresh frown curved on his forehead when he felt the car following them for quite so ti. 'Is it a coincidence that we all are going in the sa direction?'
He found it extrely abnormal to his sight. Moreover, his mind told him that the cars looked too protected from outside, noting that they weren't any ordinary cars.
Taking a deep breath, he looked at Jennifer who was eyeing him with her eager gaze to say, "Jennifer, hold yourself tight. I'm increasing the speed of our car."
"W-What? Why!!?" Jennifer's face crumbled but still, she held the seat belt with much force as per his saying. There was no denying that it made her heart race for the ti when Javier's grip tightened on the steering.
His actions raised thousands of questions inside her mind which she wished to ask him straightaway. Yet his seriousness doubled, making her gulp the saliva present in her mouth
He increased their race when Javier took the other route when he took the left instead of the straight road. While taking the left, he normally saw the cars behind him were still present, giving him enough hint that his doubt was correct.
They are being followed…!
Without thinking twice, he handed up his phone to Jennifer to say, "DIAL ELLEN AND RYAN! NUMBER!" his yell made Jennifer's body shiver.
Subconsciously, she took the phone into her hand to unlock it. With her shakier hands and her blank mind, she managed to open the contacts to find Ellen's number.
But at the sa ti, she felt a tight gush of movent when Javier abruptly took a right, making her body fall on the body of the car.
"WOAH. Javier, why are you driving so fast?" Jennifer murmured when she noted that the glare never dimd in Javier's eyes.
His aura decreased to the next extent where she found it hard to describe why he was behaving in such an odd manner, to which she had no answers.
His mind was burning in the rage where his gaze never tore from the rear mirror to find that the people behind them had also increased to space.
"I-I can see that we are being followed and...people behind us have already understood that we know. Jennifer, we are in danger."
