Chapter 347 - Next Month
"Alice…."
"Let us not et each other anymore, Shawn. It will be right for you as well as …." With this, Alice took a few steps back before she opened the door of her car and sat inside to drive away.
While Shawn was left with nothing but pure emptiness inside his heart, he felt himself shivering to the next level. Even the snow started to fall by the ti but he didn't budge from his position even an inch. The amount of pain his heart went through was hard to describe but it was sothing he has experienced but this ti…it was different.
Closing his eyes, he didn't let his tears fall, rather there was a determination that flooded through his blood vessels. Taking a deep breath, he finally opened his eyes to take an oath himself.
'I will marry you, Alice Anderson. It's just about ti…but you will beco my wife…'

Ti passed and how quickly one month passed, Alice felt the ti cycle moving too quickly. This month was specific to be called since she felt many things were being done. How she discovered about Johnsons …her best friend ending up one of the Johnson heirs.
And the next very day, how his na was labeled over every magazine and television news. There was no single handle that didn't showcase the change in the CEO of the Johnson group. It was a once-in-a-decade thing happening!
Yet Alice didn't feel the need to be tolerant. It was simply to not let her heart feel the sa amount of regret.
When she took the day off for today, she was standing in her penthouse balcony with her eyes looking at the other place. It was srizing with her morning coffee. But at the sa ti, she heard her doorbell ringing.
Turning around she saw the maid already opening the door when a man ca and stood out "Father..brother…."
Coming Inside she ran in their direction to give them a bear hug, "How have you been?!"
Her father patted her head slightly, "Since you weren't interested in coming back, we thought, why don't we pay a visit to our little princess." hearing this, Alice smiled when she helped them sit on the couch.
Looking at her other elder brother, he gave her a hug as well, when she mumbled, "I wasn't expecting you to show up as well.."
"Hmm,..neither But you know that there is nothing that father will ask and I will not do so." she smiled at the comnt. Making them sit on the couch, she asked her maid to serve them so warm water before anything else. "How was the flight?"
"It was really good. But we ca here with urgent work to be done." hearing this, Alice's brows twisted, 'Special work? What kind of work could it be?' curiosity got better when she bluntly asked as well, "What..is it...related to what father?"
"You will learn this very soon. Don't worry." her father's words gave the unsettled happiness that she knew constantly floats till the very end. They both ended up resting for the entire day and it was evening when her father told her that he has to go sowhere.
"But father, you just ca today?! You can do the work you have tomorrow as well!? And what important work is there that needs your attention, especially today?" Alice can't help but find a kind of annoyance present on hearing that her father will have to show up sowhere around.
As expected, her father patted her shoulders to give her a warm smile, "I'm taking your brother, so you have nothing to worry about health as well. Also..co to the texted place when I will call you. Okay?"
He didn't even give her any chance before he left for the hotel where he was supposed to be present, leaving Alice dumbfounded back in her house.
All she knew was the fact that she had to go as well but after so ti. Rolling her eyes, she found this to be extrely ridiculous. 'God..what will happen with this man..'

Within the next hours, Alice finally arrived at the hotel's entrance where her father asked her to show up. It was a five-star one where she knew she had few etings in the past.
'But why will he call here?! And to whom does he have to et?' she was all in her wondering herself.
Giving the keys to the ballet parking, Alice wore a long dress covering her entire body. Over that, she took an oversized coat to co inside the hotel to find the manager guiding her the way to the table where her father and brother were.
But the first shock she ca across was to find the man…whom she hasn't t in the last month. "Shawn…"
Mumbling his na in between her breath, she felt herself on the verge of almost losing her consciousness.
What was he doing here?!
And that too with his family and her father at the sa table?!
On noting her arrival, her brother raised his hand? to call her na, "Co Alice!"
She slightly nodded her head when she reached the table.
Her gaze never left Shawn's figure who didn't show his appearance even by chance. He wasn't like before anymore. All she faced was a confident person who has changed in the past month. He appeared mature in terms of his knowledge and appearance.
As if, she was eting a new Mr. Shawn Johnson.
"Father..you said..you have to et soone important.."
"Oh Yes, I was talking about Mr. Shawn and his father. They are the ones who called ? and told that they have sothing important to discuss..so why waste ti?"
Important?
Her mind wandered around different possibilities that could show up but due to it, she found nothing right at the spot.
Keeping her half-smile, she asked with heart leftover courage, "What…was that?"
"Mr.. Shawn asked for your hand in marriage and…it is decided that you both will be married? next month."
